PREssEs FOR FORMED PARts - Wickert
Presses for
formed parts
Solutions for requirements
beyond the standard
WICKERT – Success with tradition
1901 Foundation of the company J. Wickert, construction of
hydraulic wine and fruit presses
Since 1948, development and construction of presses for the
rubber and plastics processing industries
Today:
100 employees, 25% of which are in design, development,
programming
23 million euro’s turnover
Market leader for
• Vacuum-chamber presses
• Clean-room presses
Vacuum-chamber press for rubber
Transfer moulding press for thermosets
Fully automatic press for brake pads
WICKERT products and their applications
The WICKERT modular system includes presses with a clamping
force from 40 to 60,000kN for
• Rubber
• Plastics
• Brake and clutch linings, grinding wheels
• Powder
• Laboratory applications
• ‘Fixture’ hardening
New thinking; realising the impossible
In addition to the above-mentioned applications or production
tasks,we handle projects where, using our existing know-how,
we meet our claim of producing “the best technical solution”.
Fully automatic press for PTFE (Teflon)
Standard laboratory press, temperature distribution up to ± 0,5 °C
Fixture hardening equipment, designed
for the production of hardened gears
Philosophy
WICKERT is a manufacturer of hydraulic presses and fully automatic press systems for forming processes.
In the niches markets, our aim is to be the performance leader.
Performance leader means being able to offer the best technical
solution for the defined target group.
The “best technical solution” must be feasible and understandable
as a customer benefit.
The pluses in customer benefits must in any case be greater
than the costs.
C-frame press in 2-level version for the production of endless
rubber-metal connections
Vacuum chamber transfer moulding presses
Clean-room presses for pharmaceutical
rubber closures, class 100,000
Individuality is our standard
Our aim is to develop a customised solution for every task,
which gives a competitive advantage to our customers.
This can be realised in an economically useful way through
• our general modular system
• our company structure geared towards job size 1
• the problem-solving competence of our employees
Fully automatic press for bipolar plates for fuel cells
Rubber transfer moulding press for injection volumes of up to 150kg
e.g. for ship couplings
High-temperature press, 500°C
e.g. for grinding wheels
Partnership creates successes
Performing better than standard means:
• understanding the real requirements and desires of our
customers, and uniting our experiences and know-how in a
partnership co-operation for finding the “technically best
solution”
• Many developments emerge from the close co-operation
with our customers
• Ideas don’t get stuck in ideology we all work to the best
solution
• Solutions are rapidly realised
One of the 11 CAD workstations altogether for mechanical and
hydraulic engineering
PLC programming, mainly Siemens S7
Control cabinet construction in the electrical
installation department
Competence, you can rely on
WICKERT has all the resources required for development and
production in the field of
• Mechanics
• Hydraulics
• Electricity and programming
And so uses all the know-how for the design and construction
of innovative presses.
WICKERT solutions offer provable benefits
Examples are; The absolute plane parallelism of the presses,
even at full load, the highly precise, homogeneous temperature
distribution across the whole tool, even with large heated plates.
We guarantee:
• Temperature distribution of up to +/- 0.5°C
• Plane parallelism up to 0.05mm at full load
• Remaining residual pressure in the vacuum chamber
up to 10 mbar
Material removal, here is an example of a hydraulic cylinder
Construction of a hydraulic aggregate
Mechanical assembly area, crane
capacity 60 tons, hook height 10 metres
Clean room – Vacuum-chamber
press
Intended for mould diameters up
to 2100mm,the WKP 5000 S with
a weight of 122 tons is probably
the biggest of its kind.
On the press, whose tool halves
are equally well accessible, sealing
formed-parts with diameters up
to two metres with a claim to
highest quality and productivity
are produced in clean rooms.
The biggest PTFE press
The WKP 60 000 is the biggest Teflon
press ever developed in Europe.
The press manufactures plates of
3000mm x 1000 mm max. or rings
with diameters up to 3000mm. Four
of the eight pressing cylinders can
be horizontally moved by hydraulic
auxiliary cylinders; depending on the
products to be manufactured, they
can be arranged in a rectangle or a
ring, in order to obtain, even at full
load, the best plane parallelism for
the production of the semi-finished
Teflon products within very close
tolerances.
Vacuum-chamber press for
big sealing rings
The most precise 100-ton
hot press
On Germany’s biggest vacuumchamber press and probably the
second biggest in Europe, big
sealing rings made of elastomers
are manufactured in small lots
with diameters up to 2000mm.
The WKP 16000 S has a double
sliding table and – thanks to the
top ram version – an uncommonly
low operating height for its size.
Using two independent machine
programmes, two tools with
different press parameters can be
operated at the same time.
With a maximum stamping
force of 100 tons with an accuracy of + 7kg, this hot-pressing
machine can press standard
plastics or high performance
polymers in moulds, whose
smallest structures have a size
in the range of only 1/1000mm.
The speed is continuously
adjustable with an accuracy of
0.001mm/s.
WICKERT: Always good for a (world) record
• The biggest clean-room vacuum-chamber press in the world
• The biggest PTFE press in Europe
• Germany’s biggest vacuum-chamber press
• The world’s most precise 100-ton hot press
Trust in a company which has determined the development of
hydraulic presses for formed parts in an innovative way for more than
100 years.
Also, we can search and find the best technical solution.
So you can keep your competitive edge.
Give us a challenging task. Our solution will convince you!
