PriscoTech® AquaFlo® and MiniFlo Systems supply you with process water designed for the printing process, helping you manage the complex ink, paper and water interactions on your press. Whatever your incoming water’s characteristics, the AquaFlo and MiniFlo will transform it into the required starting point for your press chemistry. Process water enhances your quality control by eliminating this major variable. Process water has also been proven to be beneficial in pre-press, providing a consistent water source for all processing applications. TM PRISCOTECH AQUAFLO II The system generates process water through a unique combination of the latest membrane and particulate filtration, carbon adsorption, and chemical stabilization technologies. Models are available to produce 300 to 16,000 gallons (1,13560,560 liters) of process water per day. PRISCOTECH MINIFLO SERIES The compact MiniFlo supplies up to 125 gallons (473 liters) of high quality process water per day, ideal for small to medium size pressrooms. PRISCOTECH WATER SOFTENING SYSTEMS PriscoTech water softening systems are easy to use ion-exchange systems which utilize a resin column to remove calcium, lime and iron from tap water. They may be used in-line with the AquaMix blending systems, plate processors, and for any plant applications where softened water is needed. Prisco Product Guide 23 Chemical Blending Systems PRISCOTECH AQUAMIX BLENDING SYSTEMS ® Hand mixing water and fountain solution concentrate is tedious and time consuming. Human error during the mixing process can lead to chemistry problems on press, resulting in downtime and excess waste. The AquaMix Blending System eliminates this issue and distributes consistent press-ready fountain solution directly to your press, as it’s needed, shift after shift and day after day. AQUAMIX II - The AquaMix II Blending system utilizes the latest technology in flow-control monitoring systems and proportioning pumping mechanisms to blend one-step or two-step fountain solution concentrates at up to 600 gal/hr (2,270 l/hr). AQUAMIX III - The AquaMix III blends at a variable rate of up to 660 gal/hr (2,500 l/hr), and discharges the solution into a mixing chamber, which insures thorough mixing of all chemicals. You can enhance your pressroom operation further by adding the optional “low level” warning systems, accurate conductivity and pH monitors. Filtration, Refrigeration and Recirculation Systems PriscoTech AquaChill fountain solution chilling, filtration, and recirculation systems offer superior reliability, performance and innovative design. There is an ideal AquaChill system available for every press configuration. All AquaChill systems help in reducing costs by extending fountain solution life and minimizing disposal fees. With your fountain solution’s quality and consistency assured, you’ll improve print quality – and your bottom line! AQUACHILL II The PriscoTech AquaChill II system is available for the most rigorous high-volume pressroom environments. The rugged long-life design has a unique three-step filtering process to remove contaminants as small as 5 microns, thus extending the usable life of your fountain solution. The filtered solution is chilled and automatically fed back to the printing units, ensuring an accurate and stable product to easily help maintain ink/water balance. The system has a 25 to 50 gallon (95 - 190 liter) tank and is available in either 2- or 5-ton chilling capacities. 24 Prisco Product Guide AQUACHILL II G20 The PriscoTech AquaChill II G20 fountain solution chilling, filtration, and recirculation system is specifically designed for those applications where a stand-alone unit is required. The G20 can feed up to a 6-color 40” wide press. Utilizing only one common fountain solution tank, the AquaChill II G20 has individual filtration for each printing unit. Mounting the optional PriscoTech AquaMix III fountain solution blending unit to the AquaChill II G20 makes it a complete solution for your pressroom operation. PRISCOTECH AQUACHILL VTC TM The PriscoTech AquaChill VTC System incorporates the latest technology in Vibrator Roller Temperature Control Systems to accurately control the water temperatures within the press vibrator rollers. Designed specifically for ease of installation and serviceability with top performance (maintaining +/– 1° F), this new range of units was conceived to maximize pressroom space through the utilization of strict compact design and performance criteria. Chemical Recycling Systems PRISCOTECH FLOCLEAR FOUNTAIN SOLUTION RECOVERY SYSTEMS ® The revolutionary PriscoTech FloClear, winner of the prestigious InterTech award from PIA, filters and recirculates fountain solution to remove contaminants. By continuously cleaning the fountain solution, the FloClear will minimize press down-time and press maintenance while improving print quality. FloClear is available in several configurations to address various press sizes, volume of solution to be processed and the level of automation desired. PRISCOTECH WATERMIZER WASH WATER RECYCLING SYSTEM TM The PriscoTech WaterMizer is an ideal solution for reducing the amount of water used in the platemaking process. Waste water is circulated from the wash section, the platemaking by-products are filtered out and the water returned to the processor in optimum condition. Your platemaking operation can reduce waste water by up to 80%. Prisco Product Guide 25 PRISCOTECH SOLVKLENE II SOLVENT RECOVERY SYSTEM TM The PriscoTech SolvKlene II Solvent Recovery System utilizes a distillation process for recycling waste solvents. It is designed to be both safe and easy to operate. Many new presses, equipped with automatic blanket wash attachments create a substantial quantity of waste solvent. The storing, handling and transporting of this hazardous waste solvent hurts profits. Moreover, every gallon of hazardous waste solvent recycled is a gallon that does not need to be purchased, therefore reducing VOC emissions and improving profits. Hazardous waste solvents are an expensive problem; the PriscoTech SolvKlene Solvent Distillation System is the economical answer. Humidification Systems Would you like to run at maximum press speeds even in the driest winter weather? Printers know that dry air causes paper to lose it’s natural moisture, so that it risks picking up static electricity, wrinkling, losing register and causing paper feed jams. These problems reduce your production and your quality. Prisco offers a choice of humidification systems ideal for pre-press areas, pressroom or the entire plant. PRISCOTECH EASYMIST TM The PriscoTech EasyMist Humidification System is simple and modular. It consists of a control unit, running on compressed air and water, capable of supplying multiple spray heads. You can install these units almost anywhere in your plant (press or pre-press areas), even with ceiling heights as low as 8 feet. These systems are essential when working with digital printing systems such as IGenTM, IndigoTM, XikonTM and imagePRESSTM. 26 Prisco Product Guide PRISCOTECH SPACEMIST TM The PriscoTech SpaceMist Humidification System has been developed specifically for large and small production areas within the Graphic Arts Industry. Utilizing a high pressure pump, water is atomized into micro-sized particles, over a 360° area, and is absorbed quickly into the air, within 20 feet of the unit. The misting mechanism ensures the ultimate in humidity control for ceiling heights as low as 8 feet. PRISCOTECH ARCTICMIST TM The PriscoTech ArticMist Humidification System has been developed specifically to disperse micro-sized water particles over a large production area. The system is comprised of a fan unit with precisely controlled spray heads and uses the same high-pressure pump as the SpaceMist. ArcticMist is ideal for conditioning rolls of paper for web press printing to minimize web breaks. PRISCOTECH COOLMIST TM The PriscoTech CoolMist System is a system for humidifying an entire plant. The CoolMist Controller delivers water under high pressure to the spray heads which disperse micro-sized water particles to a desired area. The use of spray heads, combined with multiple humidistats, allows for precise zoned humidity control where you need it.
