New Fascinations stores contain no explicit imagery.
Merchandise is selected to meet our internal “PG13” rating. Product packaging is tasteful, elegant and
free of nudity and graphic depictions of any kind. The
personal massagers are non-anatomical in design and
versions of them may be found, in limited selections, in
Brookstone stores or Walgreens and similar drug stores.
The new Fascinations do not offer media such as DVDs or
magazines.
The creation of Fascinations began with the purchase of
a small Tucson, Arizona novelty store in the mid-1980s.
An unmatched attention to detail and an earnest spirit
characterized the imaginative group of people that
initiated the remodeling and reorganization of what would
become one of Fascinations’ premier retail locations. Soon
thereafter, with the success of the first store, and growing
consumer demand, we set out to establish new locations.
Our associates are thrilled to greet over a million guests
each year. Such an achievement has been made possible
through the dedication of energetic store managers and
knowledgeable sales associates.
Now, with operations based in Tempe, Arizona,
Fascinations operates 17 stores in Arizona and Colorado,
as well as our website, YourFascinations.com. Continuing
to grow, Fascinations is committed to improving service,

WHAT IS FASCINATIONS?
Fascinations is a leading boutique retailer, offering an
assortment of dresses, corsets, shoes, handbags, bath
and body products, jewelry, lingerie, as well as intimacy
enhancing products. Fascinations stores vary in size from
smaller, more intimate retail spaces where the primary
focus is on apparel and novelty items, to larger, principal
retail spaces that carry the complete array of Fascinations
merchandise.
WHAT DOES A TYPICAL FASCINATIONS LOOK LIKE?
When a guest walks into one of our stores, we want to
provoke a feeling of excitement and comfort. Fascinations’
staff is welcoming and engaging and each store is vibrant,
tasteful, and comfortable.
Stores are designed in the hallmark Fascinations’ colors:
pink and black. And, the shopping experience is
heightened by soft music pumping in the background.
Bath and body products invite the customer to sample,
while an array of apparel waits to be taken to the fitting
rooms, in the back of the store.
For those just along for the ride or wanting to be
enlightened, we offer a library where our guest can pluck
a book from the shelf and sit back in one of the comfy
sofas. In select stores, we offer a museum of some of the
more interesting intimacy enhancing products. Either way,
we have something for everyone.
Window displays are regularly utilized at many of our
stores to highlight featured items and special promotions.
We are very conscious of safety and therefore our parking
lot and lighting upkeep is scheduled on a daily basis by
store staff. We ensure a clean, crisp appearance.
WHERE ARE THE FASCINATIONS’ STORES LOCATED?
The company operates several stores in the Phoenix,
Tucson, and Denver metropolitan areas. The majority
of Fascinations stores occupy upscale shopping centers
within established neighborhoods. Currently, neighboring
businesses include McDonalds, Pier 1 Imports, RA Sushi,
Starbucks, Weight Watchers, Urban Outfitters, Checker
Auto Parts, and Target.
WHAT ARE FASCINATIONS’ HOURS OF OPERATION?
Fascinations’ business hours are from 10:00 a.m. to
11:00 p.m., Monday through Sunday. A select few,
however, limit hours from noon to midnight on Sundays.
All stores suspend operations to observe Easter, Christmas,
and Thanksgiving.
WHO SHOPS AT FASCINATIONS?
The majority of Fascinations guests are monogamous
couples in the age range of 25-45. The most significant
market increase has been in the number of single women,
ages 25 to 49. Independently conducted segmentation
research attributes the increased number of single female
patrons to the pleasantness of store staff, marketing efforts,
product selection, and the cleanliness of the retail areas.
All of these factors have contributed to the growth of
Fascinations as a leading specialty retailer.
WHO WORKS AT FASCINATIONS?
Fascinations takes pride in hiring a diverse range of
people to work in and manage its stores. Typically, our
smaller stores maintain a staff of six sales associates
and a management team of two to three people. Our
larger stores are generally staffed by 15 associates and
are managed by a team of three. Eighty-five percent of
associates are female, with a median age of 24. Among
store managers, women outnumber men by a ratio of two
to one, with a median age of 26.
All Fascinations employees must complete a ten-day
training program under the supervision of a designated
trainer and must pass a manager administered test in order
to become a commissioned sales associate. Subsequently,
all sales associates and managers attend ongoing training
seminars conducted by Fascinations’ Human Resource
Department.
WHAT KIND OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC DOES THE TYPICAL
FASCINATIONS LOCATION GENERATE?
The flow of traffic in and out of the largest Fascinations’
locations is equivalent to that of other specialty retailers,
which varies by store location. Customer traffic increases
during peak hours, typically noon to 3:00 p.m. and 5:00
p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Over the past several years, we’ve donated our time and

Research, HIV education and prevention, the Muscular
