Dear Ms, Bergsma,
Imperial Oil Resources N.W.T. Limited (Imperial) is submitting this 2014 Annual Report as per Part B,
Section 1 of Licence S11L1-004.
Details of Work Completed, including restoration:
Sahtu Land and Water Board (SLWB) Licence S11L1-004 was obtained by Imperial on January 12, 2012.
This Licence was required for an excavation along the Mackenzie River for the installation of a
freshwater pipe between Bear Island and Frenchy’s Island. The work began January 30, 2012 and was
completed February 23, 2012.
No further work was completed on this site during 2014. For work completed in previous year’s under
the SLWB Licence S11L1-004 please refer to the 2012 and 2013 Annual Report’s.
Data Generated From Surveillance Network Program (SNP):
No de-watering was required on this site 2014; as such, no sampling occurred.
Unauthorized Discharges:
No unauthorized discharges occurred on the site during 2014.
Other Details on Waste Disposal as Requested by the Board by November 1 of the Year Being Reported:
No additional details regarding waste disposal were requested by SLWB by November 1st, 2014.
Results of Annual Site Assessment:
The excavation area was assessed post break up between September 15th and 17th, 2014. The
assessment determined that no additional work was required. The results of the assessment are
attached in Figure 9 – Frenchy’s Pipeline Post Construction Photos and Hydrotechnical Assessment.

In compliance with condition Part G, Section 3 of Licence S11L1-004, Imperial will continue to inspect
and monitor the project area annually post break until the Licence expires in January 2017. Results of
monitoring will be provided to the SLWB on an annual basis, as required by the Licence.
