Coaches
Kelly is a Technology classroom assistant at Chesterfield Elementary School in the Rockwood School District.
She graduated from Rhode Island College with a Bachelor’s in Psychology. Kelly spent three years in Fiji
serving as a school administrator and started a children’s ministry at a Fijian community church. She taught
gymnastics for seven years. She also was a teacher’s assistant with the Special School District for eight
years. Kelly has been attending Church On The Rock for three years and a volunteer in the 724 Kids Ministry
for two years. She loves children and believes nothing is impossible when God is in control.
Karen Battle
Karen teaches the J.E.T. Gifted Education program in the Fort Zumwalt School District. She has been teaching
for fifteen years and has won "Teacher of the Year" three times and nominated for the Disney American
Teacher Award. Karen earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education (Summa Cum Laude) from
North Carolina Central University and a Master's Degree in Gifted Education from Lindenwood University.
Aaron Be l l
Aaron is the Y.S. Rho Martial Arts school owner and head instructor. He has a 2nd DegreeBlack Belt in
Taekwondo, with ranks in Hapkido and Kumdo. Aaron has partnered in the development and implementation
of a new children’s curriculum, which focuses on basic martial arts and self-defense. He has been teaching
and working with children for over twelve years.

Julie is currently a third grade teacher in the Hazelwood School District. She earned a Bachelor of Arts
Degree in Elementary Education from University of Missouri-St. Louis. She has been attending Church On
The Rock for six years and serves as a Nursery Coordinator. Julie loves teaching children and helping them
achieve their dreams!
Men dy F i nley
Mendy was a High School and College Cheerleader. She was a UCA All-Star Cheerleader her Junior and
Senior year. After graduation, she worked for the Universal Cheerleading Association for eight years traveling
around the United States instructing Junior High, High School, and College Cheerleading Camps. Mendy was
named UCA’s Rookie of the Year and Head Instructor for two years. She had the privilege of performing in
the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade and the New Year’s Parade in London, England. She has choreographed
Cheerleading Squads and served as a High School Cheerleading Coach for four years. Mendy is the Children’s
Ministry Director at Church On The Rock.
Patty F leschner
Patty is the proud owner of Gymnastics on Wheels with Gym-Time Sports and Fitness Club. Acclaimed graduate of
Southeast Missouri State, she instructed gymnasts of all levels at the Riverside Gymnastics Gym during her four years
in college. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in therapy and an Associate’s degree in child care and
guidance. She worked as a therapist at Shriners Hospital before owning her own business. Patty’s mission is to ensure
that children develop into healthy, happy and physically fit adults!
Kathy Fow ler
Kathy is the owner of Dance Time, LLC which provides on-site dance lessons to childcare centers, schools,
and community groups. She is also on the faculty of The Performing Arts Centre in St. Charles. Kathy has
been dancing since the age of four. She received her primary training from The Performing Arts Centre in
St. Charles. She went on to complete her Bachelor of Performing Arts Degree in Dance at Oklahoma City
University. Kathy’s performance experience includes featured roles with Southern Ballet Theatre, The American Spirit Dance Company, The Dance Company of St. Charles, and Stage Right Dinner Theatre in Chicago.
Lin da Gai ther
Linda is a High School Science teacher in the Fort Zumwalt School District. She is the Science Discovery Camp coach
for campers age nine through twelve.
Sean H i mme l
Sean is the staff coordinator for the adult division of Rock Sports Ministry. He has been on staff at Church
On The Rock for three years and also completed a three year internship with the Midwest Movement Program.
Sean brings experience in a variety of sports including: Soccer, Basketball, Golf, and Mixed Martial Arts.
Sherry Stone
Sherry is the director of Rock Sports Ministry and KidVenture Sports at Church On The Rock. She has
been on staff for fourteen years and has been working with children in education and children’s ministry
for thirty years. Sherry earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and Missouri State Principal
Licensure at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary
Education at Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. Sherry loves teaching children and helping them
reach their full potential!
