THE EDGE An ESCO® Corporation Publication March 2014 IN THIS ISSUE Showcasing ESCO @ ConExpo Talk with Tim Myers New President, ESCO Construction & Industrial Division Expanded Adapter Offering for Ultralok Tooth System ® ESCO CORPORATION ESCO is an independent designer, developer and manufacturer of highly engineered wear parts and replacement products used in the mining, construction and industrial and oil and gas industries. Our expertise in metallurgy, tribology (the science of wear), design engineering, manufacturing processes and distribution are our core competencies. ® The Edge is available online: http://www.escocorp.com Update your mailing address: edgesubscriptions@escocorp.com Vice President of Corporate Communications Last year, ESCO celebrated its 100th year in business, a milestone we couldn’t have achieved without a highly skilled workforce, a history of top-quality and innovative products and services and, most assuredly, our loyal customers. It was a proud period in our history – one that was enjoyed by all at ESCO. In addition to our centennial anniversary, ESCO undertook significant changes this past year. We voluntarily chose to withdraw plans for an Initial Public Offering and realigned Cal Collins President & CEO the business into a divisional structure to more effectively serve our core markets – construction and industrial, mining, and oil and gas. This special ConExpo/ConAgg issue of The Edge brings to light our impact on the construction industry and future plans for our Construction & Industrial (C&I) Division. Dating back to 1925, ConExpo-Con/Agg has become a construction industry institution. With 2014 predictions set at more than 125,000 attendees with 2,400 exhibitors, this is the premiere event for ESCO’s Construction & Industrial Division. The ESCO team has been attending this trade show for more than 50 years – launching products, hosting oneon-one meetings and especially joining customers for some much-needed social time. ConExpo, held every three years, is produced by the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM). This important trade association provides global services for companies that manufacture equipment, products and services used worldwide for industries such as agriculture, construction and mining. Kirk Yoresen Global Marketing Manager Construction & Industrial Division 1996 2002 ” “ ConExpo provides an excellent venue for ESCO to listen and collaborate with key distributors and customers around the world. It is where ESCO employees receive training, meet new people and reconnect with old friends. Elizabeth King ” Vice President, Organizational Effectiveness 2008 4 THE EDGE | MARCH 2014 2008 2011 THE EDGE | MARCH 2014 5 A n I nte r v iew wit h Tim Myers Pr esident, E S C O C onst r uction & I ndust r ia l D i v ision 2013 proved to be a year full of change for ESCO as we took the opportunity to re-align the company’s structure around the audience that matters most: our customers. The leadership team identified three critical markets for future success, 1) Construction & Industrial, 2) Mining, 3) Oil & Gas. This shift aligned ESCO’s structure to better serve customers across global markets and helped the company deliver on its commitment to QVS – Quality, Value, Speed. ESCO veteran, Tim Myers, took the reins as President of the Construction & Industrial (C&I) Division. On the cusp of ConExpoCon/Agg, we sat down with Tim to discuss his plans for 2014. Tim Myers Tell us about your background in the industry and your history at ESCO. I have been with ESCO for 28 great years. I am fortunate to have gained important leadership experience through many can’t-miss opportunities: • Managed operations for the stainless steel processing operation in Hayward, California. • Led the Bucyrus Blades organization, with operations in Atlacomulco, Mexico; Bucyrus, Ohio; West Jordan, Utah and Steinbach, Canada. • Built out the Latin American organization from Belo Horizonte, Brazil. After about 26 years around the globe, I’m back in my hometown at ESCO’s global headquarters in Portland, Oregon. Each opportunity has provided me with incomparable experience across multiple business segments, from steel processing to construction, and mining to industrial products. This journey has also provided me with the opportunity to work with – and build friendships with – cutting-edge customers, dealers, distributors and teammates from many countries and backgrounds. What are your thoughts about ESCO’s new C&I Division and why it was formed last year? The shift was critical and provides us with the focus necessary to accelerate growth with our customers in global construction and industrial products markets. We have a portfolio of topquality products and partnerships with some of the best distributors and customers in the industry. This new structure provides us with the laser-focus we need to effectively support customers’ immediate needs. We have operations that are dedicated to our construction and industrial businesses, and we are expanding our customer-facing sales and service positions. We have also identified an experienced products and engineering team to further perfect the high-value products that, in all seriousness, just plain perform better than the competition. What are the key products ESCO sells to the construction and industrial markets? ESCO has an extensive range of premium products which are highly engineered and manufactured to provide our customers with the safest and most productive wear solutions. ESCO manufactures and markets the world-class Ultralok®, Super V® and Max DRP™ ground-engaging tools (points, adapters and lip systems); a complete blade line covering dozers, scrapers, loaders, graders, excavators and snow removal equipment; excavator buckets for the toughest applications; safer and more efficient couplers; crushing wear parts; and other top-notch products for the aggregate, construction and infrastructure industries. What do ESCO customers gain from our construction and industrial products? Many types of construction and industrial applications will benefit from ESCO’s C&I products, but companies with tough abrasion, difficult impact or high production requirements see meaningful return on investment from genuine ESCO products. Our customers foster safe and sustainable work environments with high levels of productivity and performance. All of ESCO’s products help companies provide even safer work environments, improve performance and reduce total cost. My warning to customers: don’t be fooled by imitation ESCO products! They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and we’re feeling very flattered these days. If another company paints their product in ESCO green, that doesn’t automatically make it a product backed by years of metallurgy experience, innovative engineering and top-notch manufacturing. What goals do you have for the C&I Division? We have more than 1,300 dedicated professionals in our division located across the globe to focus on solutions that meet the needs of our customers. For each person, the goal is to expand ESCO’s presence in construction markets globally and to continue to add new, high-quality and innovative products and services. We want our customers, dealers and distributors to be more successful. And, our goal is to show current and potential customers that by using genuine ESCO products and partnering with ESCO for solutions to their toughest problems, they will never want any other products. Will you pursue any acquisitions this year to round out the C&I offering? That is always difficult to predict, but we are always looking to acquire companies with high-quality products and a business that aligns with our mission and values. Tell us about your presence at ConExpo – what value do we provide ESCO customers here at this show? ConExpo is the place to connect with customers, dealers and distributors from all over the world. This is a great opportunity to listen to our customers and engage them in conversations that are critical to their success – and ours. It is a great opportunity for our customers to see what genuine ESCO products are – and why they make such a meaningful difference to their results. We wouldn’t miss the chance to participate in this event. Could you describe the culture of this new division? Our group is energized. We have a clear focus on providing exceptional products and services. The demand for genuine ESCO products and services has invigorated our team to step up its game. We are listening more and engaging our customers – and making changes quickly. Our actions speak louder than words. Just watch what we accomplish in 2014 for our customers. Tim Myers leads a discussion of the newly formed Construction & Industrial Division at ESCO’s global headquarters in Portland, Oregon. 6 THE EDGE | MARCH 2014 THE EDGE | MARCH 2014 7 r n ca b i de i n tu te gs DEUCE Tungsten Carbide Inserted Grader Blades For extreme abrasion grading applications All of ESCO’s products come to life after an extensive engineering analysis. The DEUCE™ blade is no exception as extreme abrasion applications are the most demanding. ESCO has designed the product with two rows of tungsten carbide inserts on the bottom edge and E3 overlay on the blade face. These dual tungsten carbide inserts maximize wear life while optimizing cutting performance. Embedded E3 tungsten carbide overlay further enhances wear life. The DEUCE blade is offered in three- and four-foot lengths with holes to accept either 3/4-inch or 1-inch mounting bolts. Embedded E3 Tungsten Carbide Blades with Custom Overlay Improve cutting edge efficiency and wear life Ultralok Tooth System Expanded adapter offering The Ultralok® tooth system is trusted at safe and productive sites worldwide. This ESCO assembly, which is designed for the construction industry’s needs, has a slim profile with smooth point-to-adapter transition. ESCO has now increased the adapter offering to fit even more machines, including bolton adapters for many popular wheel loaders. This also includes several new point shapes for utility and quarry applications. Unlike other tooth systems, the lock is hammerless and integrated with the point – making it two pieces instead of three. Field replacement is safer, easier and faster. 8 THE EDGE | MARCH 2014 ESCO’s embedded E3® tungsten carbide blades deliver up to five times the wear life of conventional steel blades. These blades have superior wear life in extreme abrasion and low impact applications, which means reduced maintenance and downtime costs for ESCO customers. The company’s wear experts can recommend a custom overlay pattern to match any high-abraision application for dozers, loaders, graders, scrapers and snow plows. se s rt n Featured products @ CONEXPO Thumbs and Coupler Valuable tools in demolition projects and disaster cleanup ESCO’s product offering includes several thumb options. The product is available in progressive link style, non-link and rigid styles for optimum compatibility. • R igid style has versatility with three working positions at 68°, 86° and 112° • N on-link style rotates up to 120° • P rogressive link style rotates up to 160° Progressive Link Style Hydraulic Thumb These thumbs offer versatility and reliability. Hydraulic thumbs retract close to the boom when not in use, which allows more visibility during digging. When used with a coupler, these thumbs can be used longer for the same level of material retention. The lubricated, hardened pins and bushings provide extended life and allow for easy rebuild. The cylinders use heavy-duty rods that are cushioned at both ends for longer life. Rigid Style Bucket Thumb PosiGrab Coupler This product helps lower operating costs because it is a more economical choice over hydraulic thumbs. It features three- and four-tine options to better mesh with point positions while large serrated teeth provide more gripping power. Repositioning the thumb body only requires moving a single pin, which keeps downtime to a minimum. This new product was developed to optimize site safety and to simplify use. The PosiGrab® design features both front and rear locks that are mechanically engaged through the full working cycle – and can be operated and visually confirmed from the cab. The natural position of the coupler is locked and only unlocks using positive hydraulic pressure. THE EDGE | MARCH 2014 9 ESCO AROUND THE WORLD Tokyo, Japan. ESCO and Mitsubishi Steel Mfg. Co. Ltd (MSM) recently renewed a license agreement for an additional five-year term, allowing MSM to manufacture and sell licensed ESCO construction and mining products in Japan. MSM became an ESCO licensee in 1964 and our two organizations look forward to celebrating 50 successful years together in 2014. MSM manufactures ESCO products at its Hirota foundry, and sells to key OEMs and distributors via its network of sales offices and service centers throughout Japan. Balikpapan, Indonesia. The Balikpapan Expo is an annual event that brings the mining and oil and gas industries together in one very strategic location. ESCO’s 2013 presence at the show, held in Balikpapan 13-15 June 2013, included Nemisys, SV2®, and the Ultralok construction tooth systems. ESCO also showcased mining hoe buckets, truck bodies and other wear management products. One of the most popular ESCO products on display was a complete ESCO Mining Hoe Bucket, which was equipped with the 65SV2 tooth system and Toplok® Shrouds. On 1 January 2014, ESCO acquired Stabiltec Downhole Tools, a manufacturer of specialty drilling tools for the oil and gas industry. The acquisition is a great fit for ESCO’s growing Oil & Gas Division, joining Ulterra, the division’s founding brand. Stabiltec manufactures complete, turn-key downhole tools on demand. The company’s processes use the latest technology, including next-generation, custom-designed robotics. Arequipa, Peru. ESCO participated in Perumin, one of the largest mining industry tradeshows in Latin America, held 16-20 September 2013 in Arequipa, Peru. OEMs, suppliers and mining companies from more than 40 countries presented their mining innovations. ESCO celebrated 100 years of innovation and showcased the Nemisys® and Ultralok® mining systems. ESCO conducted hands-on demonstrations and met with several key South American customers who will soon trial the new systems. 10 THE EDGE | MARCH 2014 Jakarta, Indonesia. Taking place every two years, the Mining Indonesia Exhibition is an important opportunity to showcase ESCO’s latest products and services, as it attracts key customers from throughout the region. At the 2013 event, held 4-7 September in Jakarta, ESCO debuted its Ultralok mining tooth system, which received many positive reviews from visitors. Also on display was the new Nemisys mining system as well as the Ultralok construction tooth system. These innovations emphasized safety, performance and value for customers. Truck bodies, mining buckets and refurbishment services were also prominent in the booth, as all three are important to continued success in Indonesia. All team members from our Jakarta and Balikpapan offices banded together to make these events successful. Their efforts to prepare for, as well as to support, the booths during the exhibitions were recognized by many. Adelaide, Australia. As of September 2013, ESCO began directly supporting the South Australia and Northern Territory markets from its newest supply and service location based in Adelaide. With this transition, ESCO Australia continues the aggressive growth it started in 2011. The new Adelaide presence, which leverages the expertise and personnel from Mine & Quarry Service Co, marks ESCO Australia’s eighth direct supply and service site that provides highly engineered wear management products and services to mine and quarry operations. “ESCO’s direct presence in the South Australian market will mean customers benefit from individualized service and supply with immediate access to the company’s global expertise and technical strength,” said Steve Lennard, Managing Director for ESCO’s Australasian operations. Kingaroy, Australia. The Australian sales and marketing teams recently initiated a program to engage existing and prospective customers in an informal event showcasing ESCO’s mining products and services. On 17 June 2013, the team hosted a gathering in Kingaroy to talk with 20 guests and obtain valuable feedback that is now being used in our continuous improvement processes. Similar events have been held across the continent in other townships, including Moranbah, Tieri and Collinsville, Queensland; Boggabri and Gunnedah, New South Wales; and Perth, Western Australia. The company has since grown its operations to include more than 675 people across four locations throughout the country. More importantly, ESCO is developing a strong and customer-focused organization to better serve distributors and OEMs in China. THE EDGE | MARCH 2014 13 focused on safety and service means customers receive high-value product and any support required. Years of field experience paired with highly skilled engineering and metallurgy expertise make ESCO products the preferred choice for construction, mining and industrial applications. To celebrate the busy year, ESCO Africa’s head office combined forces with our Middelburg office for a Family Day on 16 November 2013. Johannesburg restaurant, The Cradle, played host to 80 employees and family members from the two offices. The group went for a “game drive” – a guided tour much like a safari – followed by a picnic in the bush. This annual Family Day tradition began more than 50 years ago at ESCO’s headquarters in Portland, Oregon, and has spread to offices around the world. Africa It was a busy year for ESCO in Africa as the region garnered new customers, recruited new talent and broke ground on a new regional headquarters. Since ESCO announced its direct presence in South Africa in February 2011, the African team has grown exponentially under the direction of Philippe Kaskarian, Managing Director for Africa. The following are just a few of our recent successes. ESCO Africa’s team began a very exciting project in 2013: a brand new head office. Currently ESCO’s administrative office is headquartered in Woodmead, South Africa, while the warehouse is in Kempton Park, South Africa (more than 25km away). In September 2014, ESCO’s regional headquarters for Africa will move into a combined location in Linbro Park, Johannesburg, South Africa, where the administrative team and warehouse will join together. Kaskarian led the ground-breaking ceremony on 5 September 2013. Above: Artist’s rendering of ESCO Africa’s regional headquarters. Right: Philippe Kaskarian breaks ground at the new site. In addition to securing ESCO’s first Profill® dragline bucket sale last year, the team also completed the sale and manufacture of the first UltraHaulTM Truck Body in Africa. Engineers at ESCO, working closely with the customer, enhanced an already-proven design being sold around the world. Together they created a lighter body that used a unique, narrower tail to increase the payload to a specific, requested tonnage. Fabricators in Middelburg built this first-of-its-kind truck body to meet the customer’s stringent requirements. The remote Kathu office hosted its own Family Day on 30 November 2013. A group of 29 employees, family members and children came together at a bowls club. Bowls is a favorite South African sport played outdoors where a player throws a “bowl” (a ball) with the objective of landing close to a smaller ball, similar to lawn bowling or bocce. After a competitive game of bowls, the group enjoyed a meal at Tshimo, where they honored the winners of the day’s game with awards like best player, most enthusiastic player and most improved player. This ESCO tradition provided the team with a great end-of-year event. ESCO has also successfully introduced the new Nemysis® GET and lip system to African mining customers. Already large iron ore and platinum mines in South Africa are using this ESCO technology on their hydraulic mining excavators to improve their operation efficiency. ESCO’s innovative designs, time-tested alloys and dedicated local teams Miro Potparic New General Manager to Lead ESCO Africa Supply and Service Miro Potparic joined ESCO as General Manager of ESCO Supply & Service for Africa. In his new role, Miro will be responsible for our Middelburg, Kathu, Mokopane and Tete (Mozambique) branches. Miro is responsible for supporting mining customers through ESCO Supply & Service by expanding our current supply and service capabilities throughout the continent as well as adding new branches in key mining clusters to better serve our customers. Miro brings strong operational experience including foundry exposure in South Africa and the U.S. Most recently, he worked for Weir Minerals Africa and Middle East, which specialized in slurry pumps, vibrating screens, cyclones and mining hose manufacturing for the mining industry. His last position was Plant Manager in the Alrode Division. Miro has a B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering and also holds a MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University in the U.S. He holds two patents and is a Lean Certified Six Sigma Black Belt practitioner. Middelburg and Johannesburg Family Day BAUMA Africa Draws 14,000+ ESCO booth at the inaugural BAUMA Africa in September 2013. The first BAUMA Africa event debuted 18-21 September 2013 in Johannesburg. The trade fair attracted 14,700 visitors from 110 different countries and is currently seen as the largest mining event in Africa. There were 754 exhibitors from 38 countries participating. ESCO Africa also hosted a 100-year celebratory cocktail party at the event. The show produced tremendous interest in ESCO’s newest products, Nemisys and Ultralok Mining. His company, and his family, served the industry before he was even born. “My grandfather started this company in 1958.” A father-son team, (Ray Roland, CEO, and Matt Roland, President), now lead Roland Machinery Company. For more than 55 years, heavy equipment customers have trusted the team at Roland. The company has grown to 300 people at 15 locations across Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana and Missouri. Roland Machinery has been recognized as an “ESCO Top Dealer” for a number of years. According to Matt, their commitment to ESCO is simple. “We’ve been an ESCO dealer long before I was even in the business.” “ESCO is known for its quality products first and foremost. But ESCO separates itself by customer service. We don’t have many issues, but when we do, ESCO comes out full force to make a customer happy – which makes a dealer happy. When a dealer promotes a product, we choose manufacturers who stand behind their products.” 16 THE EDGE | MARCH 2014 For this reason, Matt says the ESCO products sold at Roland end up in a lot of Midwestern quarries. And the products last a long time. His customers work with black dirt and limestone, which is not very abrasive to the products, so the components need to last a long time in their territory. “Fundamentally, not much has changed since my grandfather ran the company. Customers are always cost-conscious, but at the end of the day it is about the relationships between the customer, the dealer and the manufacturer,” said Matt. “ESCO spends time in the field where other manufacturers have moved away from that model. I can attribute our longterm success to that time spent in the trenches together.” “ ESCO spends time in the field where other manufacturers have moved away from that model. ” General Equipment & Supplies (General Equipment) opened its doors 30 years ago in 1984 with a handful of employees in North Dakota. The company grew quickly within the Dakotas and across nearby Minnesota, Iowa and Nebraska – as well as reaching north into Canada when it opened new locations as General Aggregate Equipment Sales (General Aggregate). Stafki points out that the company’s success comes from delivering reliable service through outstanding product support and by offering the finest, most reliable lines of equipment, motors, generators and trailers. “And, with ESCO, you can’t just call out one or two good products – you have to look at the entire family of products,” he added. The company currently offers a wide array of construction products, but prominently features ESCO products. Top sellers include ESCO’s crushing products, teeth and adapters. “It’s the best that’s out there. If it’s in stock, it sells,” said Steve Stafki, Vice President of Service for General Equipment. Both companies – General Equipment and General Aggregate – provide top-quality equipment supported by excellent repair facilities, field service capabilities, more than 100 trained and certified technicians and a multi-million dollar parts inventory. Stone shared a customer story to illustrate the value of ESCO quality, “At our Regina location, I had a customer stop by with a truckload of teeth and adapters that he had spent two days retrieving out of his aggregate crushing plant with a blowtorch. He said, ‘I don’t ever want to do that again. Give me some ESCO stuff.’ It wasn’t about price, it was about quality,” he said. Since 2009, General Equipment has doubled in size to meet customer demand. Now with 250+ people in the U.S. and Canada, the company knows that competition is stiff. From the president to the parts runner, their culture dictates they will provide exactly what the customer needs. “In Canada, we’re dedicated to the aggregate market. We have broad and deep knowledge of this industry and our customers appreciate that we have product on the shelves and we’ll get that product where they need it,” said Tim Stone, General Manager of the two Canadian offices for General Aggregate. “We’ve appreciated ESCO’s product innovation. ESCO’s products are consistent – that puts ESCO head and shoulders above everyone else.” Later this year, the company will celebrate the 30-year milestone with its rapidly expanding team. These important honors show the value we place on quality and innovation which allows us to deliver the best products and services to our customers. Celebrates Its 10th Anniversary ESCO’s annual engineering challenge began in 2003. An internal call to arms, the event is hosted by the company’s engineering leaders each December. The exercise challenges ESCO employees – engineers, executives, even accounting folks (anyone is welcome!) – to think outside the box. For the first event 10 years ago, engineers were challenged to put as many rubber bands as possible through a six-inch hole. The event has grown since then to include more teams, more employees, more international sites – and more rules. In December 2013, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of this mind-bending event, ESCO leaders asked teams to deposit a finite number of materials from one side of a wood palette, over a barrier, to the other side. Competitors joined Portland’s headquarters from as far away as Manila, Phillippines and Nisku, Alberta, Canada. Twenty-six teams from as far away as Ft. Worth, Texas; Leduc, Alberta, and Port Hope, Ontario, Canada also participated via Skype. Celebrating the gold, from left to right: Governor Vic Atiyeh; Bill Schonely, former Portland Trail Blazers radio announcer; Governor Barbara Roberts; Ray Verlinich, ESCO CFO; Governor Ted Kulongoski. From left to right: Jeff Kershaw, Mining Division President, Chris Johnston, Design Engineer, Jon Owens, COO, and Tim Myers, C&I Division President. Team “NPD United” came together across party lines (the team united six members of ESCO’s New Product Development teams from both the construction and mining divisions). The united effort earned them top honors. Team Puppet Masters concentrates on their task, as the game’s official counts down the timeclock. Ray Verlinich Named a Top Two Finalist for “CFO of the Year” On 29 October 2013, ESCO received the coveted Governors’ Gold Award, presented each year by Oregon’s four surviving governors to pay tribute to individuals and companies that have positively contributed to the state’s success. ESCO Corporation was recognized alongside Mark Ganz, President and CEO of Cambia Health Systems; Bob Moore, Founder and President of Bob’s Red Mill; Arlene Schnitzer, Dutch Bros. Coffee and famed Portland arts philanthropist. CFO Ray Verlinich was on hand to accept the award on behalf of ESCO. All proceeds from the 2013 event benefited Special Olympics of Oregon, an organization ESCO has supported for many years. Ray Verlinich, ESCO’s Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Finance, was named a top-two finalist for Portland Business Journal’s “CFO Ray Verlinich of the Year” recognition in the large company category. The publication recognized his talent and skills as he secured a $1B line of credit for ESCO, completed the largest acquisition in company history with ESCO’s purchase of Ulterra (Oil & Gas Division), and helped ESCO divest the Turbine Technologies Group in order to focus ESCO’s future on our core markets: mining, construction, industrial, and oil and gas. A “Most-Admired Company” in Oregon Since achieving this honor, Verlinich has been invited to participate in the Bank of America Merrill Lynch CFO Forum in New York City, which annually invites two CFOs from around the country to speak at the elite finance event. Verlinich joined ESCO in 1996 and has been in his current role since February 2011. ESCO was named the sixth Most Admired Company in Traditional Manufacturing in Oregon (behind such luminaries as Nike and Intel), as voted by CEOs statewide in all industries; and tied for 14th Most Admired Company Overall out of all Oregon-based businesses. Ulterra’s CounterForce wins “Best Drilling Technology” Award On 18 October 2013, Ulterra won “Best Drilling Technology” for CounterForce® at the 12th Annual World Oil Awards in Houston, Texas. The awards program spotlighted global accomplishments and leading innovations achieved in the oil and gas industry between July 2012 and July 2013. Justin McMillan, Vice President of Business Development for Ulterra, attended the event and accepted the award on the company’s behalf. CounterForce is a patentpending PDC bit technology which uses a unique cutter configuration to lower torque and vibration, dramatically improving drilling efficiency. The CounterForce cutting structure is engineered to slice through rock while maintaining a more consistent torque, which increases stability and rate of penetration. Team NPD United won bragging rights as winners of the December 2013 Challenge. 18 THE EDGE | MARCH 2014 THE EDGE | MARCH 2014 19 ESCO Service Anniversaries Bouwens reads X-ray film to help the team repair a grinder.
