LAMINATED
GOODWOOD STAIRCASE COMPONENTS,
PANELS, KITCHENS, FURNITURE
Laminated GoodWood Australian Hardwood,
manufactured from Eucalyptus delegatensis
and regnans, provides wider widths and thicker
thicknesses, maximising the use of smaller
regrowth logs. Ensures cost effective supply
of thick wide boards.
ASH also produces the SUPALAMTM range, a finger
– jointed, edge laminated product made from
GoodWood Australian Hardwood.
Features and Benefits
Quality – sanded or machine finished colour matched,
precison docked
Stability – visually graded kiln dried hardwood
dimensionally stable making it an ideal species
to laminate
Strength & Straightness – Vic Ash has a high strength
to weight ratio. ASH straight line edge all boards after
kiln drying. When laminated, the strength and
straightness attributes are enhanced.
Impact resistance – laminated GoodWood with a
high izod reading of 18-20 joules has the ability to
absorb high impact loads for short periods with no
adverse effects
Workability – glue laminated product is easy to work
with using standard carpentry tools
Fire resistance – large sections have a high fire
resistance and char but still maintain their structural
integrity for a long period of time
Colour matching – range from pale pink to straw
tones. The maunfacturing process aims
to produce glue laminate that has a high level
of colour consistency as well as performance
consistency, so that the appearance of the finished
product is that of a solid piece of timber.
18
Glue laminated products are available in Select Grade
Resistance to chemicals – timber is unaffected by
most chemicals and resistant to degradation by salt
air which can quickly corrode other building materials
Reliability – laminated components are manufactured
to strict quality requirements from kiln dried, visually
graded Australian Hardwood which has a proven
history of high performance
Glue type used in appearance products –
Duro –lok 2150 (2 parts, Cross Link PVA)
conforms to the European BS EN 204 –
exposure group D4 (white glue drying clear)
Glue laminated timber is suitable for the following
applications.
