After were done machining out your stock head to accept our interchangeable dome inserts, no one will
know what you did to your sled. We offer 3 different compression ratio’s to meet all needs from pump gas
on the trail to full race to pump gas at 10,000’ elevation. We normally have heads already machined and
on hand for exchange for a fast turn around. You will see better acceleration and better throttle response
over stock with the added power from this head kit. When ordering you need to order machined stock
head cover, dome / inserts for you application and o-rings.

The staff at Speedwerx has been porting cylinders since day one. Our experienced staff and design
team will assure you that you are getting the best porting for this machine available, for what ever your
application maybe. From trail to full race, Speedwerx has a set-up for you. We normally have cylinders
on hand for exchange for a quick and fast turn around. We also suggest running one of our Stealth head
kit’s along with any porting to assure you get the best gains possible. In some cases cylinders require
replating this will add $210-$290 to each cylinder if needed. Contact us for HP gain, not available at time
of print.

Speedwerx has joined forces with the world leader in motorsports fuel management, DynoJet Research
- aka Power Commander. The Power Commander is a fuel injection adjustment unit that plugs “inline“
with the machines stock ECU ( electronic control unit ). The PC uses original equipment style connectors
so no splicing or cutting of the harness is required. Most installations take less than 15 minutes, some as
little as 5 minutes.
Changes are made to the machines fuel curve and in some cases ignition curve via the PC’s onboard
microprocessor. Using this technology we are able to offer a large area of adjustment without making
any permanent changes to the machine’s ECU. Removing the PC returns the bike to its previous stock
condition. Each unit comes complete with software and cable link that allows you to change between
different maps or make adjustments to a map file.
Speedwerx will provide base maps for Speedwerx exhaust systems and engine kits. We also offer in
house tuning.

This new pipe kit from Speedwerx is designed to allow you to adjust your exhaust pipe to better suite
your riding conditions and/or fuel requirements. The adjustable pipe will allow you to adjust for lower
octane fuel ( 87 for example) for trail applications, or it will also allow you to run at higher horsepower
than stock on premium pump fuel. The adjustability also works great for higher elevation riding, if you
run the pipe on a tighter setting you will make more hp at the higher elevations. How the pipe works is it
has an adjustable stinger or outlet on it that adjusts the pipe’s pressure up or down depending on which
setting you have it on. Pipe can be changed from any setting in a matter of seconds. Pipe comes ceramic
coated.

This muffler was designed and intended for deep snow/deep powder applications. The NEW Powder Advantage Lightweight Mufflers eliminate the bogging or cutting out of your snowmobile when riding in these
conditions, while at the same time cutting up to 12 lbs. in the process. Some drilling and grinding is required during installation. These mufflers come complete with necessary hardware and instructions. These

What we do is machine / gut your stock head so that you can run our interchangeable domes. Our domes
drop right into place under your stock head cover without anyone even knowing it! Not only does this add
some serious power to your machine, but it is a cheaper alternative to the complete billet head kit set-up.
How this works is you can either send us your stock head or order a new stock head through us (we normally have them on-hand). We will machine it for our domes, and then send it to you. If you would like to
send in your stock (un-machined) head, we will give you a credit when we receive it!

Speedwerx has been porting cylinders since the late eighties. Everything we have learned along the way
will go into the porting these new 800 cyls. The 2007-2009 models seen a 6 hp gain after porting. We
expect to the see the same gains on the new motor.

That’s right, no piggy back system no fooling the system. We have developed our own software that will
allow us to reprogram the stock ecu to adjust fuel and boost limits. Doing so allows us to make up to 290
+ hp with the stock turbo. You can expect same day turn around on programming, plus we have a few
units on hand if you want us to send one out ahead of time. We offer 4 different base maps from 175 hp
stock, to 177 hp 87 octane for trail, 210 hp premium 91 + octane map, and a full race gas map that will
put you at 260 hp + or 290 hp + with our Speedwerx waistgate mod kit. Custom maps are also available

Now your saying I want all 3 programs at the same time and I want to pick and choose at certain time
which fuel I want to run or have available. Well don’t worry Speedwerx also offers a multi-map set-up
that will allow you to choose 4 different ECU programs. You can have what ever maps you want in the
ECU. We suggest our 3 standard maps plus a stock one just in case. You can select from map to map while
the sled is running. We include a partially wired switch / dial with this kit that has 4 different settings on
it so setting 1 would be stock ( or what ever you want ) and so on and so on. Oh yeah every thing still

Our lightweight muffler for the Z1 turbo cut’s 10 pounds. At the same time adding 10 + hp w/ no efi mods
required. All of our mufflers are designed to reduce weight while keeping sound levels as low as possible.
Our mufflers have more bark than stock units but we try not to make them too obnoxious. In other words,
they won’t blow you off of your seat! Our mufflers utilize the stock outlet location and require no major
chassis modifications for installation. All mufflers come standard painted with a hi-temp black paint and
most mufflers come with installation instruction if needed.

METHANOL INJECTION KIT
Simply put, injecting methanol into the intake system cools the intake temp in turn allowing us to run higher
boost with the same fuel or octane. The cooler intake temps help prevent detonation. For example if we
were making 210 hp with 12 lbs of boost on premium pump fuel we could safely make 230 hp with 15 lbs
of boost and premium fuel because the intake temp is so much lower with the methanol injection.
This kit comes with everything you need; 150 psi pump, 4 quart water tank, water tank taping kit and all
the wiring, injectors and other things you need. The kits also include the brass checkvalve and have an
adjustable boost switch from 1-25 psi.

DYNOJET POWER COMMANDER
P O W E R CO M M A N D E R F U E L I N J E C T I O N M O D U L E S
The Power Commander is a fuel injection adjustment unit that plugs “inline” with the bike’s stock ECU (electronic control unit). The PC uses original
equipment style connectors, so no splicing or cutting of the harness is required. Most installations take less than 15 minutes, some as little as 5 minutes.
Changes are made to the bikes fuel and, in some cases, ignition curves via the PC’s onboard microprocessor. Using this technology we are able to
offer a large area of adjustment without making any permanent changes to the bike’s ECU. Removing the PC returns the bike to its previous stock condition. Each unit comes complete with software and cable link that allows you to change between different maps or make adjustments to a map file.

The LCD Display connects to any Power Commander USB via a “quick disconnect” cable. It is
designed to remain on the bike and is weather resistant. While connected the unit will display all available data from the Power Commander. When the optional Multi-Function Hub is also installed all of its
data is available for viewing as well.
The LCD Display has the ability to log the data being displayed for later analysis and store multiple
maps in the unit (both features require optional SD memory card, not included). These maps can be
sent to the Power Commander “on the fly”. Additionally, maps can be adjusted using the controls on
the display.

The Dynojet Auto Tune kit plugs into the PCV with a single cable. The only other connections needed
are a +12 volt and a ground. With the Auto Tune kit connected the user can specify what Air/Fuel
ratio (how rich or lean) to make each specific RPM and Throttle Position % combination. This makes
it possible to adjust cruise for best fuel economy as well as larger throttle openings for peak power.
Dynojet includes base settings for the Air/Fuel ratios, but they are fully adjustable if need be.

MAP SELECTION SWITCH
Connecting the Map Selection Switch allows the rider to switch between two different maps within the

About our Barkbuster Kits:
The Barkbuster front suspension is a direct bolt on kit that saves weight and improves your sleds performance and handling in the
mountains. They have been re-designed from standard OEM parts to be a superior mountain sled front suspension.
The Barkbuster A-arms are designed to give the optimal geometry to the spindle throughout the range of suspension travel to give
more positive steering in the deep snow.
Both A-arms and spindles are constructed from 4130 chrome molly steel and have a durable powder coated finish. All kits now include our CNC machined Delrin bushings that we make in-house. They are more precision and are much more durable than our previous molded bushings. We have also upgraded the inner sleeve that goes inside the bushing to a hard anodized aluminum sleeve.
This provides a much better wearing surface. Most of our kits have grease zerks in the A-arms (some kits do not due to space issues).

Kits also include our newly designed All-Terrain spindles that have a rearward ski mounting location in relation to the pivot of the spindle. They provide a sharper steering radius and will improve steering stability and predictability over stock. This new spindle will give
you a more comfortable feeling in all snow conditions such as deep powder, wet heavy snow, crusty or windblown snow and will not
dart or grab ruts on the trail. They also work better for high speed downhill runs and most unpredictable situations.
The All-Terrain spindle is adaptable to any Barkbuster A-arm kit that is pre 2010. However they are not adaptable to any of the stock
OEM front ends.
Timbersled still offers the original Extreme Terrain spindles (pre 2010 models) that have a forward ski mounting location in relation to
the pivot of the spindle. This spindle is optional in the kit if you prefer it over the new All-Terrain spindle. This spindle does have some
very good benefit to it as well. It works better than any other design in deep powder and will feel more agile in the soft snow. They will
also virtually eliminate the front end push that you get when riding in uncut powder. It is however more twitchy on the trail.
Savings: Barkbuster kits are included in our 10% off multiple product discount that we offer when you purchase
a front end kit and back suspension kit at the same time, this saves you $85.00 on the Barkbuster front end kit
and if you purchase a set of Fox Float Shocks, you will save an additional $75.00 on those. See page 3 for more

About our Mtn. Tamer Kits:
The Mtn. Tamer Back suspension system is designed to fit each brand of sled and to bolt into the original bolt holes in the tunnel.
The kits can be adapted to most factory rails or you can purchase a set of our custom slide rails that we offer in most track lengths
ranging from 144”-174”.
The kit provides a substantial weight loss and superior ride quality over the OEM suspensions. The biggest benefit of the Mtn. Tamer
design is that it puts even pressure on the snow between the front and back portion of the suspension. This makes the sled trench
less in all snow conditions and will also make your sled feel like it has more power due to the added traction. This is achieved by our
rear arm slide mechanism and the mounting style of the Fox Float shocks. The slide mechanism couples the back portion of the suspension to the front at a specific spot in the range of travel. At this point the suspension will travel straight up into the tunnel, reducing
the track angle and applying the sled’s weight toward the front, pulling the sled on top of the snow.

The slide mechanism can be adjusted in 2 points by adding or removing aluminum shims that come with the kit. First you can adjust
the sled’s rear ride height (works well for different snow conditions, like powder or spring time snow). Second you can adjust how
much weight the sled will transfer, meaning how much ski lift it will have (works well for higher HP sleds & fine tuning your sled to
your liking).
We now offer an optional Fox Float-X shock that has adjustable rebound and an external reservoir that has a high and low speed
compression adjustment. This shock is a $300.00 addition to the standard kit price or can be purchased separately for $650.00.
If you decide to purchase a set of our custom slide rails, they now offer optional mounting holes for the shocks in the slide rails. This
straightens the shock angle and gives it a stronger point of push on the suspension, making it 30% stiffer than the standard shock
mounting hole. This will help with the weight of a larger rider or give you the option of running lower air pressure in the shocks.

The Mtn. Tamer suspension now has dual limiter straps that have 10 standard hole adjustments and offers an additional hole that is
2 ½” down from the end of the strap, giving the strap 10 more coarse adjustments (works well on high horse power sleds).
The combination of these adjustments allows you to dial in your sled to best fit the riding that you do. All these adjustments may
seem a little confusing so we include a page on tuning the suspension different ways such as deep powder riding on a stock sled or
hill blasting on a big turbo charged sled.
Suspension arms are constructed from 4130 chrome molly steel and have a durable powder coated finish. All cross shafts and hardware are CNC machined from 7075 aluminum. All kits include our new CNC machined Delrin bushings that we make in-house. They
provide more percussion and are much more durable than our previous molded bushings.

Clean Air Intake Systems
The purpose of the Clean Air Intake System is to increase the deep snow performance of your mountain sled. It is designed to
eliminate intake clogging and provide clean filtered air to the motor. This means that no snow, water or dust can get in.
The clean air intake pulls in a combination of under hood air and outside air. This works so well that the engine will never
experience bogging or power fade due to snow restricting the air flow through the OEM intake screens.
The kits also save weight and substantially reduce under hood height by eliminating large plastic air boxes and hardware that the
OEM uses. This frees up under hood space and increases air flow through the engine compartment.
All kits use a snow cone air filter that is shaped like a velocity stack. This increases airflow to the engine giving it an increase in
throttle response and top end HP. The kit also properly mounts the intake sensors giving the engine proper tuning without having to
re-jet or re-map the fuel system.

Hot Air Venting Screen Kits
These Hot Air Venting Kits can reduce under hood temperature by 30 degrees by allowing air to enter in through the shock towers and
exit out the back body panel. Screens are set low in the body where they will be most efficient by allowing cool air to pass through the
clutch and exhaust compartments without any snow getting in.
All Screens are made of perforated aluminum and have a black powder coat finish. Screens are extremely durable preventing
punctures from sticks and branches. Kits include self mushrooming Pop-Rivets that are designed to be used in plastic. Venting kit
screen holes will have to be cut into the body; detailed instructions with color pictures are included.

All / Terrain Wheel Kits
These unique All/Terrain Wheels attach to your skis and are intended for driving your sled or snow bike on any surface such as
pavement, cement, or gravel roads. Use them on your drive way, in and out of the shop or trailer, to and from the trail head and an
occasional test spin through the neighborhood on a warm August day.
The wheel simply slides onto the ski and cradles the bottom keel. They include a strong ratchet strap that secures it to the ski tight
enough that the wheel becomes one with the ski and will not have any movement or flex when driving. They accurately fit any factory
or aftermarket center keel or dual outer keel skis like the Simons ski.
The All/Terrain Wheel is built to take the abuse of any type of driving you wish to do. The frame that cradles the ski is constructed of
14 CNC machined billet aluminum parts. The tires are a heavy-duty 8 diameter tire that inflates to 60 PSI. They are mounted to high
quality rims that are constructed of composite plastic or anodized aluminum and are equipped with high speed sealed bearings.
The kits are sold per ski and each component is sold separately so that you can choose the style you wish to have for you snowmobile or snow bike.

E3 Spark Plugs
Technology Overview
BACKGROUND
While other areas of the automobile have seen great advances (fuel injection,
catalytic converters, etc.), the spark plug has not changed significantly from
the original parts used by Henry Ford in 1904. Due to a lack of basic research
in the spark plug field, and no interest by the large manufacturers to improve
the spark plug’s function, this critical device has been largely ignored for the
past seven decades.
During that same time, the fuel delivery, engine management, exhaust
treatment, and the drivetrain as a whole has seen wholesale paradigm
shifts as new technologies have improved performance and cleaned up
engine emissions in great strides. It has come to the point where further
improvements are becoming more and more difficult to achieve. Seven
years ago, E3’s founding engineer took note of how the spark plug itself
had been left “un-evolved” and E3 was formed to specifically focus on
improving the ignition of fuel inside the combustion chamber with an
optimized electrode.
Due to the lack of new technology and the “commodity” nature of the spark plug industry, all
engineering work in the spark plug field has been aimed at reducing the cost of producing the circa1904 plug design. The commercial benefit to E3 is that their new discoveries are patentable worldwide
and their testing is proprietary, allowing them to reserve this new science for themselves for global
commercial sales.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has tested and confirmed E3’s advancement, and the EPA
has written the E3 technology into their two most recent Emission Rulemakings governing engine
emissions (engines under 19kW) 1 . The EPA considers the new E3 electrode to be a “supplemental
emissions technology” in the ongoing effort to reduce engine emissions 2 . This is the first time that a
spark plug has been recognized by the EPA or any other agency as having an effect on combustion
and emissions.
DESIGN
The exceptional performance of the E3 spark plug starts with the unique
“open architecture” of the E3 electrode. The design forces air gap discharges,
creates the preferred edge-to-edge spark path, allows free replenishment of
the spark zone with a fresh fuel/air charge, and exposes the flame front more
directly to the piston head than other plug designs.
Sparks naturally follow edge-paths as they leave an object. The E3 design
presents multiple sharp edges to the center electrode. Sparks flow between
these edges at lower voltages, facilitating easier discharge than standard
designs. By forcing “air sparks”, the resistance to fouling is greatly increased
in the E3 spark plug. This lowers the self-cleaning temperature of the spark
plug, allowing colder heat ranges to be used if desired.

Spark plugs fire up to 100 times per second. The small spark zone (only 0.045” in length) has to
be filled with a fresh fuel/air mixture at the same 100 events-per-second rate. The open architecture of
the E3 spark plug allows for much freer mixture flow into the spark zone, and allows the combusted
mixture to exit the spark zone in an unrestricted manner.
The “edge to edge” theory has been proven for decades by
racers who regularly would “cut back” a standard J-wire spark plug
electrode to expose sharp edges to each other in the spark zone. The
problem with this practice is that the plug will only last a few hours in
this configuration. The E3 spark plug design solves the wear problem
and can match platinum spark plug longevity while offering superior
flame kernel growth rates.
Standard spark plugs create a flamecore shape that moves sideways. The spark
leaves and lands on flat surfaces, and is
constricted by the J-wire electrode that covers
the center electrode. The flame front expands
sideways, losing heat energy as it moves
along the combustion chamber walls, and
random turbulence is relied upon for the flame
front to reach the piston.
The ground electrode of the E3 spark plug
facilitates the flame’s movement toward the
piston head in addition to a sideways
expansion, quickly involving the entire air/fuel
population in the combustion process This
shortens the amount of time required to
convert the entire fuel/air mixture into
complete combustion. The flame front
reaches the piston head sooner, resulting in
higher peak combustion pressure. This
mimics the benefit of some surface gap spark
plugs common to racing, but with superior
fuel/air replenishment to the spark zone. The
unrestricted growth of the flame front reduces
total combustion time and converts more of
the ingested fuel into useful motion energy,
expelling less as emissions.
The fingerprint of the E3 technology is the cumulative benefits of increasing combustion efficiency.
Since the total combustion process has to take place in a mechanically fixed period of time (before the
exhaust valve automatically opens as the engine rotates), the faster flame front initiated by the E3
spark plug results in a more complete burn of the ingested fuel charge. More pressure is created
against the piston, more fuel is put to work and less residual fuel is exhausted to the atmosphere (i.e.,
fewer emissions) 3 .
Our design electrode has ignition characteristics that generate an increase in the combustion flame
front speed and turbulence emitting from the electrode of the spark plug. As a result, the E3 spark plug
improves the start of every combustion stroke, improving power output, decreasing fuel usage,
reducing engine emissions, more than doubling the life of the spark plug and aiding engine cleanliness.
COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE
The majority of spark plug electrode designs (including platinum designs) allow the spark to discharge
from a flat surface to an adjoining flat surface. It has been long known that sparks prefer edge
discharges, but in practice, edge discharges lead to very rapid electrode wear. Researchers at E3
Spark Plugs developed an edge-to-edge discharge geometry that solves the wear problem by its
particular orientation and allows the design of a free-edge electrode that takes full advantage of optimal
spark paths.
Additionally, some premium spark plug geometries (such as the Bosch Platinum +4) facilitate “glide
sparks” where the spark travels along the insulator before jumping to the side wire. This is done to
lessen fouling by using part of the spark length to “clean” the insulator near the center electrode. Glide
sparks tend to dissipate a large portion of the spark’s energy and less “work” is done igniting the fuel/air
mixture. The E3 design forces an “air spark” so that glide sparks are eliminated.
Fine wire center electrode spark plugs were initially developed to reduce the amount of special
materials needed to produce a long-life plug – the goal was a lower cost. Some performance gains
were observed with fine wire plugs since they were able to capture a small amount of the complete
“open architecture” benefit possible with the E3 ground electrode.
In laboratory tests measuring the combustion pressure created by competitive premium spark plug
designs, the E3 spark plug produced demonstrably higher power levels than any other electrode
configuration – bar none.
DEVELOPMENTAL PROCESS
When E3 Spark Plugs began its development efforts to optimize ignition initiation, its engineers realized
that, due to the high variability of multi-cylinder tests (whether engine dynamometer or chassis dyno),
significant data could not be collected using traditional test methods. To solve this problem, E3
researchers developed a new test protocol with a test-to-test repeatability on the order of 0.5%. This
new protocol has passed EPA review 4 .
Previously, testing of spark plug performance was limited by results that varied from 5 to 8% from one
test to another. A variance of 0.5% allowed E3 engineers to make minute evolutionary changes in
optimal spark theories. This impressive test-to-test ratio gives E3 Spark Plugs alone the capability to
evaluate electrode geometry resulting in statistically repeatable improvements in peak combustion
pressures 5 . This proprietary test method is not available to our competitors in the marketplace, even
today.
Two independent academic labs performed testing of the Pyrotek spark plug. Dr. Shelton of the
Georgia Institute of Technology initially tested the Pyrotek spark plug. Dr. Shelton, professor of

mechanical engineering, specializes in engine combustion-related research and has held research
positions in the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and with similarly distinguished groups. 6 His lab was the
first to independently confirm that the unique ground electrode developed by E3 researchers produces
a higher level of combustion pressure per stroke, produces more power, and consumes less fuel than
competing spark plugs from NGK, Champion, Bosch, and Autolite. Dr. Shelton also confirmed that
there is no statistically significant difference in performance between spark plugs from the major brands
mentioned above, confirming a long-held belief among enthusiasts 7 .
Over 48 different electrodes were tested in order to confirm the specific validity and optimization of the
E3 ground electrode geometry. The core design, with the “diamond” geometry centered over the center
electrode is the single embodiment that creates the effect. This is the fundamental science covered in
the E3 patent.
For further independent validation of the unique performance claims of the E3 Spark Plug, testing was
commissioned at Michigan State University’s renowned Engine Research Laboratory by Dr. Giles
Brereton. He specializes in studies of unsteady thermal-fluid processes, and unsteady turbulent flows
focused on engine emissions. His ongoing research efforts have been consigned by the EPA, Ford
Motor Company, IBM, National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, and NASA over the
recent years 8 .
PERFORMANCE
E3’s distinctive spark plug design has proven, in testing in a range of engines, to simultaneously increase

Spark Plug Life: High performance engines are used by E3 engineers to test for spark plug life.
Conventional spark plug designs were tested against identical plugs with the Company electrode
installed. After 25 hours of aging (10 million firing cycles), the conventional spark plug began to
show signs of deterioration. E3 geometry, even though constructed with standard materials, was
able to maintain like-new performance.

Engine Deposit Reduction: At the conclusion of the 50 hour aging, both engines were
disassembled for inspection. The E3-equipped engine showed a notable reduction in carbon
deposits and piston head damage. This is evidence of greater efficiency in the combustion process.
Carbon reduction reduces long-term emissions and aids in extending engine component life 15 .

Dr. Brereton of Michigan State University Engine Research Laboratory has published and presented a
paper to the Society of Automotive Engineers on the improvements shown by E3 electrodes as tested
at his labs in a variety of engines 17 .
Further independent testing was performed by the Michigan State University Engine Research
Laboratory to determine the new E3 spark plug design’s effect on production automotive engine
performance. Earlier testing by MSU indicated a significant improvement in combustion is possible
through the use of the new-design E3 plug.
Tests were run consistent with EPA protocols for measuring emission, fuel usage, and power output.
Specific loads and throttle settings were chosen to mimic on-road usage of an automotive engine. The
tests involved a 1998 Ford Escort four cylinder unit with multi-port fuel injection. This engine is
representative of current modern auto engine design. The fuel system was controlled by an
independent computer fixing the air/fuel ratio at the optimal setting of 14.7 to 1 for all of the tests.
Standard spark plug designs were tested. One set was manufactured by Champion and the other was
made by Motorcraft (Ford's OE replacement brand, manufactured by Autolite). A set of E3 spark plugs

were provided that were identical heat range and size matches to the Champion spark plugs used in
this test. Spark plug gap was kept constant between all three brands.
This battery of tests from Michigan State University show that the E3 spark plug created a measurable
improvement in power output when compared to current leading brand spark plugs from various
makers. Additionally, fuel usage was reduced when the E3 plugs were installed in the engine. Brakespecific fuel consumption (amount of fuel used to create a given amount of power) was reduced from
3% to 4% 18 .
More significant is the large reduction in hydrocarbon emissions demonstrated by the E3 spark plug. A
reduction was possible with the E3 spark plug when compared to the Champion spark plug (standard
design) with an average reduction of 21% across all loads and speeds 19 . The E3 spark plug also
showed a reduction in nitrides of oxygen across the board, which is significant in that the reductions in
hydrocarbon emissions did not come at the expense of increased nitrides of oxygen. Since atmospheric
smog is caused by the interaction of hydrocarbon and nitrides of oxygen emissions, these results are
particularly promising, especially when you consider the retrofit capability of the E3 spark plug.
Consistent with earlier testing, the two standard spark plugs (Champion versus Motorcraft) were nearly
identical in their performance in most of the tests. This supports earlier findings at MSU and Georgia
Tech that contemporary spark plugs do not differ in performance from brand to brand. As an example,
below is a table outlining the results of a highway-speed and load test performed at Michigan State
University on a Ford Escort four cylinder highly optimized production engine (multi-port fuel injection,
distributor-less ignition system, overhead cam hemispherical cylinder head, etc.)
