Distribution
Scheme (CDS)
What is chlamydia?
It is the most commonly diagnosed
STI in England that spreads through
unprotected sex (without a condom).
The test and treatment are free, painless
and confidential. You do not need to be
examined and you can do the test yourself.
Everyone who joins CDS
will be offered a test.
You can take it there and then or request a postal
kit by texting SURE and your name and address
to 80010 or email requestakit@nhs.net

Is what I tell you
kept confidential?
Yes
CDS has a confidentiality
statement which is as follows:
Ways to negotiate safer sex
Tips for using
condoms:
Talking of families,
I don’t want to
start one tonight
l Check condom for kitemark or CE
Shall we use
your condom
or mine?
If it’s not
on, it’s off
Which brand
of condoms
do you use?
I’m into
rubber,
are you?
mark and expiry date.
l Put condom on erect penis before it
goes anywhere near a partner.
The Condom Distribution Scheme
(CDS) is a free, confidential service.
l Open packet - be careful of rings and
fingernails that can damage the condom.
Squeeze air out of the l
teat of the condom.
Unroll on to penis. l
This means you can discuss personal information in
confidence with anyone who works within CDS.
We will not discuss your information with anyone else
without your permission.
Intercourse takes place. l
l After ejaculation (cum), hold the base of the
condom and withdraw penis before it goes limp.
We would only pass on any information to protect you
or someone else from serious harm.
l Take condom off carefully.
Whenever possible, we would discuss this with you first.
l Wrap condom in a tissue and throw in bin.
