Excursions

Jyllands Park Zoo. Take a unique cycle
trolley ride from Herborg towards

Visit the abandoned Abildå Brown Coal Field, which is now an
exciting nature area and picnic location. The field can be seen at
work following prior agreement. Trehøje Museum exhibits a large
collection of locally collected workshop environments as well as
some farming equipment. Enjoy the town’s green outdoor areas
- Vildbjerg Lund and Vildbjerg Søpark. 20 minutes to Herning

Østergaards Hotel is central Jutland’s largest conference and
course hotel with facilities that can accommodate up to 400

The first building was constructed in the middle of the 19th
century, the other additions are from 1974. The original building

Universe is four kilometres from the hotel and offers plenty of
educational experiences. Nordborg lake is

Hotel Vinhuset exudes atmosphere in its historical settings.
Vinhuset has been the town’s hotel since 1778. Parts of the
fantastic building date all the way back to the 16th century.
The wine trader, Hansteen, died in 1754 and his daughter
Maren was given permission by the king to continue the
wine trading after the death of her father.
Since then, the building has been called Vinhuset
(Wine House).

The hotel’s à la carte restaurant is located in the oldest part of
Vinhuset, which can be dated all the way back to the 16th
century. In the old days, the beautiful vaults were used as

Excursions
Næstved is one of Denmark’s oldest towns. The island, Gavnø,
just outside of Næstved is home to a castle, a convent church,
