Annie & Farrah at TOGS.
It’s all about style and cut at the Toronto Ontario Grooming Show. Competitor Annie Williams met
Farrah (Ch. Starlit’s Secret Affair) for the first time on this weekend. Farrah was in need of some
serious grooming as she waited for Annie to arrive.
Last weekend in Toronto, Ontario, I had the pleasure of grooming Farrah in the All Other Purebreds Class at
the Toronto Ontario Grooming Show. Farrah was such a beautiful candidate with outstanding table manners.
We placed Third in the Open/Advanced class amongst a beautiful class of dogs groomed by some of the most
talented groomers in Canada and United States. Thank you so much to Heather Wippler for lending me her
beautiful girl for the day and for getting her so well prepared for our contest. - Annie Williams

ALDO’S MARTHA MY DEAR
Ch. Aldo Everreddy x Aldo Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte
Little did we know the adventures that were in store for us on May 1, 2015 when Aldo’s Martha My Dear, or
Martha as she is affectionately known to us, joined our family. We continue to feel truly blessed that Douglas
Buckingham trusted us with this promising girl.
Martha enjoyed handling classes right from the start and both of us have learned a great deal. My husband
Nick and I, along with Martha, hit the dog show trail that summer earning Two Best Baby Puppy in Groups.
The new year is off to a great start as Martha earned her first points with a Group Placement at Monarch KC.
We are looking forward to the rest of the 2016 show season.
My husband Nick and I are delighted and proud to support this wonderful breed. Looking forward to meeting
everyone at the National!

Starlit’s Pearl by Carmen Fraser.
Summer 2016
Page 13
Pearl is such an important part of our lives. We love her for so many reasons - she's loving, smart, funny,
and so cute!
Pearl loves playing with toys. Her favourite game is catch. She hides behind furniture so she doesn't see
the toy coming and jumps up and snatches it out of the air. She'll drop the toy by your feet, run behind the
couch and wait patiently. If you don't throw it soon, she'll peek out from behind the couch and when she
catches your eye, she'll pop back behind and wait!
She knows her "aunt" will bring a toy when she visits and checks every bag and suitcase looking for it ! In
fact, Pearl is so nosy, she has to check every bag coming into the house, just in case there's something in
them for her! Later she can pick that toy out of her pile of toys when prompted to look for it.
Pearl taught Daddy a trick. She'll bring a toy upstairs, run back down the stairs and wait for Daddy to throw
it. Then she brings the toy back upstairs and it starts all over again. She can really run off some energy
doing this.
When we take Pearl for a walk, she remembers the houses where she has met dogs and she will stop, sit
patiently on the sidewalk and look at the house hoping they will come out and play. Watch out, though if she
catches sight of a squirrel or rabbit! She barks and desperately wants to chase them to play with them.
Out of the blue one day, Pearl started barking at bears on TV. She recognizes them every time and they set
her off! She'll also bark at cats outside when Daddy makes a hissing noise. She's very effective at keeping
them from using our lawn to do their business. If Pearl sees something new in a room, she'll bark at it to
make sure we see it and then we have to show it to her so she knows it's ok!
Pearl loves healthy people food like vegetables and chicken and she has very good manners and waits to be
offered a nibble. But if we say "not good for Pearl" (such as chocolate) and let her sniff it, she will patiently
sit down and wait until we offer her something she can have.
But most of all, Pearl is a very loving pup. Pearl loves people and will groom anyone she considers family,
the way her mother groomed her. In turn, she loves when you rub the inside of her ear. Pearl sleeps in her
bed, but often she will come to our bed in the middle of the night and lie on the pillow between us.
Pearl is a real joy in our lives and we can hardly remember what it was like before we got her.
We will have a Bichon Buddy Fun Costume Competition at our Specialty
