Neither the flowers nor the fruit are ornamentally significant. The stems are burgundy but aren't particularly outstanding. Landscape Attributes: Tricolor Stromanthe is a dense multi-stemmed evergreen annual bedding plant with an upright spreading habit of growth. Its relatively coarse texture can be used to stand it apart from other garden plants with finer foliage. This annual bedding plant will require occasional maintenance and upkeep, and should not require much pruning, except when necessary, such as to remove dieback. It has no significant negative characteristics.
