PARENTPAY COMING SOON TO GIFFORD
From Monday 5th January 2015 Gifford Primary School will be launching ParentPay which will allow Parents/
Carers to pay for school trips and breakfast club online. This is a fast and easy way to pay and there is no cost involved. On Wednesday 3rd December usernames and passwords were sent out via your child’s book bags – please
check these and activate your accounts if you have not already done so. You will need an email address to activate
your account. Those wishing to pay by cash can request a barcoded letter from the school office – this should be
taken to a store displaying the PayPoint sign and scanned to pay for the trip. If you require help
to set up an email account or activate your ParentPay account, please contact the school office in
January.

Please see letter sent home to parents
on Tuesday 2nd December.
SCHOOLS’ ADMISSION POLICIES
Ealing Council are consulting with schools,
parents and other interested parties regarding
admissions to primary schools, for example
whether siblings already in a school should
give a child a higher priority for admissions.
If you would like to know more or see the consultation go to

YEAR 3 VISIT THE NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM
On Tuesday 25th November Year 3 went on a
school trip to the Natural History Museum. We
all got there by coach and we saw fascinating
gems, crystals and rocks due to our learning.
Everybody had a great time and we wish we
could go back there soon.

YEAR 1 SUPERHERO DAY
On Friday 21st November as a fabulous finish to the topic
'Superheroes', Year 1 pupils and teachers dressed up in various superhero costumes. During the autumn term all pupils

great enthusiasm, about fictional

have enjoyed creating their own

KRAZY KAT THEATRE SHOW
On Monday 1st December Reception, Years 1 and 2
had a visit from the Krazy Kat Theatre Company. They
performed Cinder-Ella in an exquisite and highly
imaginative and funny way. The Krazy Kat Theatre
Company creates visual theatre incorporating Sign
Language Arts, accessible for deaf children and their
hearing peers. During the performance the children
were taught some sign language so they could participate in the show with the actor and puppets.
CLUBS AND BOOSTER CLASSES
All clubs and boosters will finish by Friday 12th December.
KYLE MAKES A WISH AND MEETS JOHN CENA
Kyle, 5G, has a serious heart condition
since birth and has had three major operations. Recently his mum contacted
the children’s charity ‘Make -a -Wish’ and told them that
Kyle’s greatest wish was to meet his hero, John Cena. John
Cena is an American professional wrestler, rapper and
actor signed to WWE. He has granted more ‘Make-AWish’ requests than any other person in the world. Kyle and
his mum were taken to Birmingham where they stayed in a
hotel for two nights and attended one of John Cena’s wrestling matches. After the match they went backstage to meet
John. He presented Kyle with a t-shirt, cap, copy of his
autobiography and he signed Kyle’s entry ticket. Backstage, Kyle also met lots of
other wrestlers and trainers and
had a tour of the event area.
Afterwards, Kyle said to his
mum “it was the best day of my
life.”
