The Anderson County Chamber
of Commerce is hosting its Annual
Business Luncheon, Thursday, February 20, 2015, 11:30 a.m. at The
Hollingsworth Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership (Junior Achievement BizTown), 2135 N. Charles
Seivers Blvd., Clinton.
The Chamber is pleased to welcome Ryan Howley, President of
Techmer PM, the recipient of a recent
visit from President Barack Obama
and Vice President Joe Biden. After
touring a portion of the facility, the
President made a major announcement about the creation of a $250
million manufacturing innovation
hub aimed at strengthening U.S.
leadership in next-generation com-
posite materials.
Techmer PM, LLC, is a major producer of value-added masterbatch
and engineered compounds for the
plastics and fiber industries. The
company manufactures and sells
masterbatch under its Techmer PM
brand and engineered thermoplastic compounds through its Techmer
ES subsidiary. The company has
worldwide manufacturing capabilities focusing on high-performance
applications where quality, technical
support, and problem solving are

Samantha Watson
Samantha Watson is the Occupational Health
Coordinator at McNeeley Family Physicians in
Clinton. Her role makes it easy for both the patient
and employer to navigate the occupational health
system and it is her priority to stay up to date on
the regulations associated with Workman’s Compensation, the Tennessee Drug Free Workplace
program and DOT clearance.
McNeeley Family Physicians works with both
companies and individuals to provide drug screening services (including on site testing) and physi-
cal exams as may be necessary for employment/
occupational purposes.
Samantha enjoys being an ambassador for the
Anderson County Chamber because of the opportunities to meet new people and form relationships
with new and current members. She notes, “The
Chamber has many wonderful things to offer the
community and it’s a pleasure to be a liaison between Chamber members and the Chamber helping members fulfill the Chamber’s potential.”

President’s
Message
I send my best wishes and hope your 2015 is off to a good start. 2014 was a very
productive year for the Anderson County Chamber of Commerce. Our shining
moment was unveiling our new logo followed by update of our website, new
business cards and a new sign, inside and outside. Again, we created new
business partners, gained new members and maintained an 85% retention rate.
How did we accomplish all the actvities listed below you ask? An oustanding staff,
an engaging Board of Directors and Council members and wonderful member
volunteers.
We are so very thankful and appreciative of our members that invest in the
Chamber and allow us to fulfill our mission and accomplish our objectives
throughout the year.

Community College, President Obama announced his plan to fund
America’s Promise for two years free community college for those
willing to work for it, patterned after Governor Bill Haslam’s Tennessee Promise. During his visit at Techmer PM, the president
announced that the University of Tennessee will lead the Institute
for Advanced Composites Manufacturing Innovation, or IACMI, a
venture that includes a $70 million commitment from the U.S. Department of Energy. IACMI will be one of five federally designated
innovation hubs focused on advanced manufacturing.

President’s
Message
I send my best wishes and hope your 2015 is off to a good start. 2014 was a very
productive year for the Anderson County Chamber of Commerce. Our shining
moment was unveiling our new logo followed by update of our website, new
business cards and a new sign, inside and outside. Again, we created new
business partners, gained new members and maintained an 85% retention rate.
How did we accomplish all the actvities listed below you ask? An oustanding staff,
an engaging Board of Directors and Council members and wonderful member
volunteers.
We are so very thankful and appreciative of our members that invest in the
Chamber and allow us to fulfill our mission and accomplish our objectives
throughout the year.
