ALISON ARNGRIM
At the Monte Carlo Festival in June 2006, Alison Arngrim announced
Alison Arngrim signing
the debut of her French-language one-woman comedy show,
to mark the publication
Confessions d’une garce de la prairie. Five years later, and with
of her novel «La Petite
Garce Dans La Prairie»
the hit show continuing to tour around France, the fabled Nellie
Oleson returns to us for a new event: Éditions Florent Massot’s
publication of her autobiography, a book that made the
bestseller list of the New York Times.
In «La petite garce dans la prairie», Alison Arngrim recounts her
childhood in Hollywood and recalls unforgettable and tempestuous
moments behind the scenes of the smash television series. The
story is told with biting wit, characteristic humour and an ability to
intimately draw the reader in as the book progresses.
Alison also courageously reveals the challenges that she was forced
to face: her fights to survive traumatic sexual abuse, overcome
depression and crippling shyness and confront the secret that her
father kept from her for twenty years. She also shares with us the
immense pain she felt when her screen husband and best friend
Steve Tracy died from AIDS. This event inspired her second career
in social and political activism, with Alison notably succeeding in
having American child-abuse laws changed.
Nellie Oleson, meanwhile, taught her to be daring, courageous and
determined – she will be forever grateful to the biggest little bitch on
the prairie for having shown her the way...

« Scènes de MénageS »
SPECIAL EVENT
Tuesday 7 June I 6:00 pm
UNRELEASED EPISODES SCREENING, Public
appearance AND signing by actors from the
series « Scènes de MénageS »
First broadcast on 9th November 2009 on M6 and airing at 8:05 pm from Monday to
Saturday, this series soon became a hit with audiences. Every evening, more than
three million viewers watch scenes from the home lives of Marion and Cédric, Liliane
and José and Huguette and Raymond. A series record was reached when the 2nd
March 2011 episode was watched by 4.1 million viewers.
After the success of Caméra Café and Kaamelott, Scènes de Ménages sees M6
confirm its comedy credentials. Funny, biting and irreverent, Scènes de Ménages is
marked by a focus on sharp scripting, shooting and performances. It has become
one of the most popular programmes on French television, for both the viewing
public and those working in the industry.
Technical information:
• A series of 480 3’30 episodes
• Produced by: Noon (Alain Kappauf
and Christian Baumard) / M6 Studio
• Loosely inspired by Escenas de
Matrimonio, created by José Luis
Moreno
• Directed by Francis Duquet and
Stephan Kopecky
• Script editor: Laurent Tiphaine
• With Audrey Lamy, Loup-Denis Elion,
Valérie Karsenti, Frédéric Bouraly,
Marion Game and Gérard Hernandez
Synopsis : Scenes from the daily household life of three couples from different generations.
For better or for worse, no holds are barred for these three couples.
Marion and Cédric
Liliane and José
Huguette and Raymond
As Marion and Cédric begin their life
together, they discover each others’
habits and foibles. Their honeymoon
period lasts despite the crises that
they face, which are often resolved
between the sheets.
Jealousy, friends, family and work
are a major part of their home life
together.
After their son Manu leaves home,
Liliane and José reinvent married life
on a day-to-day basis. In an attempt
to inject a bit of life into their couple
and counteract José’s steadfast
determination to stay set in his old
ways, Liliane puts her vivid imagination
to good use, with the occasional
success. For this couple, affection and
hysteria are frequent bedfellows.
Every day, Huguette and Raymond
hide their love behind a wall of
spite. It’s how they do things. ‘No
tomorrow’ could be their motto,
and if anything brings them closer
together than anything else, it’s
conflict. Misanthropy, cynicism and
sarcasm form their daily diet.

The project “Creative Opportunities for Fiction in 3D” has the objective to provide the European creative community
of the audiovisual sector with the keys to understand its market and face the technological and human
challenges that Stereoscopic 3D (S-3D) represents.
All along this project, audiovisual professionals from different cultural backgrounds and technical specialities will
have the opportunity to meet up with high-level European professionals, creating conditions of networking and
shared experiences which are key factors for a better production and circulation of the European fiction works as
well as for the strengthening of the sector’s competitiveness.
Therefore, the project aims at exploring all the stages – from conception to distribution – and opportunities
for European S-3D fiction success inside and outside the European Union.

Round table 3
Management: Business models for S-3D
production and distribution
The script-writing round table will start with
a quick overview of the history of “thinking in
depth”: this historical perspective will explore the ways
in which filmmakers responded to new formats from
earlier periods of 3D production laying the foundation
for the actual challenges for S-3D script-writing.
Discussions will focus on technical opportunities
in thematic development and scenic construction.
Practical case studies will identify the genres and effects
that can be implemented in stereoscopic storytelling as
well as the constraints the creative personnel will have
to cope with. In a creative perspective, this round table
will also focus on S-3D as a new language. The script
compatibility between 2D and 3D formats will also be
taken into account. The objective of this round table is
to gain insight and knowledge of the scripting processes
and script structure for S-3D production.
The third round table will focus on business
models and management.
The new challenges in S-3D audiovisual industry will
be addressed from a managerial point of view. Case
studies of successful/unsuccessful 3D films will be
analysed to highlight the key issues. The S-3D industry
will be studied in its different business contents:
theatrical release, television, video on demand, etc.
The emerging business models will be analysed.

script writing, direction, production, post-production
and distribution. Funding opportunities will also be
discussed.

The second round table will address the subjects
of direction, production and post production.
Professionals gathered around this discussion will
address characteristics and limits of human vision,

the screen, the importance of camera movements.
The questions of content (what are the best stories
for S-3D?) and style (how to choose the best style
according to the film genre) will be also addressed.
Professionals from the techniques industry will present
the tools and techniques for shooting in 3D. This
round table will also be dedicated to the specific tools
for television release including the state of the art on

awarded to the programme (in any category) which best deals with nature conservation, the
environment, the protection of threatened fauna and flora and the fight against pollution.
Prize of the «Monaco Red Cross»

This prize, launched in 2003 to mark the 140th anniversary of the creation of the
International Committee of the Red Cross, will be awarded to a news programme which
promotes the principles of international humanitarian law by covering a conflict in terms

violence nor inscite it.
SIGNIS Prize
The World Catholic Association for Communication, SIGNIS, gives an award either to
the best television film or to the best news programme. This SIGNIS prize will honour a
production, which reflects the goals of the association, more specifically the support for
quality television production that highlights human and spiritual values.
The International URTI Grand Prix for Author’s
Documentaries
The INTERNATIONAL GRAND PRIX FOR DOCUMENTARIES has been organised and
held every year since 1981 by the Université Radiophonique et télévisuelle internationale
(URTI). It seeks to reward outstanding documentaries, which combine fascinating topics
with a high level of technical expertise. The documentaries may present subjects which
are either social or cultural. The competition’s main objective is to celebrate the finest
contributions from documentary directors from around the world. The Grand Prix takes
place every June in the context of the prestigious Monte-Carlo TV Festival, organised by
the Principality, which is ideally suited to showcase the event. The winner of the competition
is presented with the ARMAN trophy, designed by the renowned sculptor. The directors
who place second and third receive, respectively, a silver and a bronze medal.
This year the award ceremony takes place on Tuesday 7th June, at 7:00
pm in the Salle Belle Époque of the Hôtel Hermitage (Monte-Carlo). The
results of the competition will be announced after a discussion with
the President of the Jury.
