Tour Previews will be held at the Anderson Recreation Center at 1107 N. Murray Ave on January 14, 2016 and at the North
Augusta Community Center at 495 Brookside Ave. on January 15, 2016. If you wish to board the bus at one of the listed pick-up
points below, we will provide bus transportation to meeting spots. The meetings will last about an hour after your arrival. Due
to limited space on our motorcoaches IT IS NECESSARY THAT YOU CALL IONOSPHERE TO SIGN UP if you plan to

Day 1: We depart this morning for Majestic Michigan, where four Great Lakes lap at its shores. We embark on an
adventure of discovering why Michigan spells vacationland for thousands of people each year. Tonight’s destination is
the Cincinnati, Ohio area, where we will enjoy an included dinner near our hotel. (D)
Day 2: Following breakfast we continue north as we travel to Dayton, home of the sprawling United States Air
Force Museum. We’ll visit this largest military aviation museum in the world that has more than 150 major historic
aircraft and other exhibits spanning the period from the Wright Brothers to the space age. Lunch will be included
today. Our destination is Frankenmuth, Michigan, where we have accommodations tonight (B,L)
Day 3: It’s just a short drive this morning to the Bavarian Village of Frankenmuth, Michigan. We’ll take time to browse in Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland this morning.
Before we depart Frankenmuth, we will indulge in a sumptuous included lunch at the
Bavarian Inn. Next, we go to the very top of the lower peninsula of Michigan, where two of
the Great Lakes, Michigan and Huron, surround us. We’ll spend the night in the St. Ignace/
Mackinaw City area. (B,L)
Day 4: This day has been set aside to explore the beautiful and magical Mackinac Island. Indians called it “Great Turtle” and the island was a stronghold of the Straits of Mackinac for 115 years. We will take a short ferry ride to the island, and as we step ashore we
seem to be transported “Somewhere in Time”. We will have a carriage tour of the island
and an included buffet lunch at the beautiful Grand Hotel. We have overnight
accommodations on the island, at the Lake View Hotel, in the heart of the historic village. It is the oldest continuously operated hotel on Mackinac Island, built in 1858. Since cars
are not permitted on the island, we’ll enjoy a peaceful, relaxing step back in time, as the remainder of our afternoon and evening are free to explore! The Lake View Hotel captures much of the past with its Victorian-style atmosphere and nineteenth-century architecture. Dinner will be on our own in the downtown area. (B,L)
Day 5: Following breakfast at the Lake View, we travel back to the mainland. We board our
motorcoach and depart for Green Bay, Wisconsin, following the northern shore of Lake
Michigan. This afternoon we’ll make a stop at the Sand Point Lighthouse in Escanaba,
Michigan. Construction began in the fall of 1867 and was completed in early spring 1868, at a
cost of $11,000. The light first shone on the night of May 13, 1868. The lighthouse is a story-anda-half rectangular building with an attached brick tower. The tower is topped with a cast iron lantern room which houses a Fresnel lens, emitting a fixed red light with a radiating power of 11.5
miles. We’ll enjoy a self-guided tour of the lighthouse which includes a chance to climb the tower and witness what it
would have been like to be a lightkeeper around the turn of the 20th century. We’ll continue on to Green Bay, where
we will enjoy an included dinner, before checking into our hotel, where we have accommodations for the next two
nights. (B,D)
Day 6: A peninsula divides Green Bay from the main body of Lake Michigan and boasts 250- miles of ruggedly beautiful shoreline. Door County is often called the “Cape Cod of the Midwest.” Following breakfast, we depart and prepare to spend the day in awesome Door County. Upon arrival we meet our local guide for a day of touring. We enjoy
an included lunch along the way. As we explore we will learn the history of the quaint little villages that make up
this beautiful area. We return to Green Bay for our overnight. (B,L)

Day 7: We depart this morning for Chicago, “The Windy City”, on beautiful Lake Michigan.
Enroute we will visit the Harley-Davidson Museum, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
It’s the best of American design and culture – seasoned with freedom and rebellion, showcased in a
landmark building. We’ll see more than 450 motorcycles and artifacts, dating back to Serial Number One, the oldest known Harley-Davidson motorcycle. We’ll experience extraordinary products,
people, history, and Harley-Davidson culture. We’ll have lunch on our own during our visit and
time for shopping for unique Harley-Davidson Museum-inspired gifts at “The Shop”. Now it’s
time to depart for Chicago – “Our Kind of Town”. Upon arrival, we’ll take a one-hour Chicago
River Architecture Cruise departing from Navy Pier. Dinner tonight will be included at the Bubba Gump
Shrimp Company at Navy Pier. Originally built as a shipping and recreation facility in 1916, Navy Pier now showcases more than 50 acres of parks, gardens,
shops, restaurants, and entertainment attractions. We’ll have time following dinner
to explore Navy Pier, one of Chicago’s most popular attractions. The Smith
Museum of Stained Glass Windows is a permanent display of 150
stained glass windows in an 800-ft. long series of galleries along the lower level terraces of Festival Hall, and it’s free. There are also a number of shops with a variety
of unique specialty items and Chicago souvenirs. Next, we check into our Chicago
area hotel, where we have accommodations for tonight. (B,D)
Day 8: Following breakfast this morning we will visit Fair Oaks Farms, in Fair Oaks,
Indiana. With mind-blowing and entertaining interactive exhibits, we’ll experience agriculture in
a whole new way. Absorb the farming lifestyle at a modern working farm in the comfort of their
farm buses. Perhaps we will witness the miracle of life at the birthing facilities. We’ll be able to
sample award-winning cheeses, and lunch will be included before we depart for Louisville,
Kentucky, where we will spend the night. (B,L)
Day 9: Following breakfast this morning we’re homeward bound. We have some wonderful memories to recall as we
recollect our time spent in Magnificent Michigan, and beyond! (B)

Come sail with Ionosphere Tours as we discover Alaska. Our journey begins as we fly from Charlotte to Fairbanks,
Alaska for a 2-night stay. We’ll enjoy a cruise on the Riverboat Discovery sternwheeler down the Chena River and a
visit to an Athabascan village. Next we’ll enjoy a Gold Dredge #8 tour with the chance to pan for your own gold. A
hearty miner's lunch is included. From Fairbanks we travel by scenic motorcoach to Denali National Park and check into the
Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge. This afternoon, travel into the park for a Denali Tundra Wildlife Tour. The morning is
free to choose an optional excursion or just relax. Then we travel by motorcoach to the south side of the park for an overnight stay at
the Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge. We can take in the sensational views in the Great Room or on the expansive deck. Our land tour continues the next afternoon with a transfer to Talkeetna and our Princess Rail journey
aboard domed railcars to Anchorage. The evening is ours to get to know this unique city. The following morning we depart
Anchorage and make a stop at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. From there we continue to Whittier, where
we will board Princess “Island Princess”. We'll sail beyond the Hubbard Glacier to Juneau and Skagway, through Glacier
Bay and Ketchikan, and suddenly our world perspective will change. Now we'll be looking up at perpetually snow capped mountains
that rise 15,000 feet seemingly straight up from the shoreline. We’ll view massive glaciers looming large over iceberg-strewn bays,
pushing their faces into tidewater. We'll marvel at the wonder of it all...on a 7-night Cruise between Whittier, Alaska
and Vancouver, British Columbia.
DAY 1 – FRIDAY, JUNE 10 – CHARLOTTE/FAIRBANKS
We will depart Charlotte and take our flight to Fairbanks, Alaska, where we have accommodations for the next two nights.
DAY 2 – SATURDAY, JUNE 11 – FAIRBANKS
A full day in Fairbanks gives us time to get a feel for the unique culture and history of the region. We'll take a cruise on an authentic
Sternwheeler Riverboat down the Chena River then enjoy a Gold Dredge #8 tour with the chance to pan for our own gold. A hearty
miner's lunch is included. The evening is at leisure. We’ll spend a second night in Fairbanks.
DAY 3– SUNDAY, JUNE 12 – FAIRBANKS/DENALI
We’ll travel by scenic motorcoach to Denali National Park and check into the Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge. This afternoon we
will take the included Tundra Wilderness Tour deep into Denali National Park, where we might see moose, bear or caribou. We’ll
spend the night in Denali.
DAY 4 – MONDAY, JUNE 13 – DENALI/MT. McKINLEY
The morning is free to choose an optional excursion or just relax. Then we’ll travel by motorcoach to the south side of the park for an
overnight stay at the Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge. We’ll have sensational views in the Great Room or on the expansive
deck.

DAY 5 - TUESDAY, JUNE 14 – MT. McKINLEY /ANCHORAGE
We’ll take in the final views of the mountain before our transfer to Talkeetna and your Princess Rail journey to Anchorage.
We’ll enjoy views of the Alaskan scenery from our glass-domed traincars. The evening is free to explore this cosmopolitan city
filled with museums and shops. Overnight will be in Anchorage.
DAY 6 – WEDNESDAY, JUNE 15 – ANCHORAGE/WHITTIER
Today we can relax on a deluxe motorcoach as we ride to Whittier, where we will board the Island Princess to begin our
cruise adventure. We depart Whittier at 8:30 pm tonight.
DAY 7 – THURSDAY, JUNE 16 – HUBBARD GLACIER CRUISING
We spend today cruising Hubbard Glacier. The stars of the voyage are the dazzling glaciers that flow from the icy peaks that line
the bay.
DAY 8 – FRIDAY, JUNE 17 – GLACIER BAY NATIONAL PARK CRUISING
Princess is one of a select few cruise lines permitted to cruise the pristine waters of Glacier Bay, the highlight of our 7-day Voyage
of the Glaciers cruise. Just west of Juneau, this breathtaking national park and preserve boasts some of the world's most spectacular
tidewater glaciers, such as Margerie Glacier, which often drops colossal chunks of ice into the sea.
DAY 9 – SATURDAY, JUNE 18 - SKAGWAY
We seem to step back in time today as we visit Skagway. During the icy winter of 1897-98, gold was discovered and within 3
months the settlement grew from one cabin into a thriving city of more than 20,000. We may want to take a narrated helicopter journey over the vast Gold Rush country beyond mountains, glaciers, canyons and waterfalls. Or experience Alaska on the White Pass
Scenic Railroad. Our ship sails at 8:30 pm.
DAY 10 – SUNDAY, JUNE 19 - JUNEAU
We will arrive at 6:30 am this morning in Juneau, Alaska's capital. We may want to pan for gold, flightsee the Juneau Ice Field,
or walk right up to the Mendenhall Glacier. We set sail at 4:00 pm.
DAY 11 – MONDAY, JUNE 20 - KETCHIKAN
This morning we arrive in Ketchikan. We'll have plenty of time to immerse ourselves in Tingit Indian culture as we have an option to view the world's largest collection of totem poles, take the Rain Forest Canoe Adventure, or just explore the city along the
colorful waterfront. We depart at 6:00 pm.
DAY 12 – TUESDAY, JUNE 21 - INSIDE PASSAGE CRUISING
This day will be spent cruising the inside passage. Many shipboard activities will be available and will be highlighted in our daily
activity sheets.
DAY 13 – WEDNESDAY, JUNE 22 - VANCOUVER, BC/Charlotte
Homeward bound - We say goodbye to Alaska as we transfer to the airport in Vancouver, BC for our flight back to Charlotte.

Just the name, Nova Scotia, brings to mind images of quaint fishing
villages, beautiful, rugged coastlines, and sleepy seaports. Nova
Scotia is just that, and a whole lot more. Newfoundland is known for
its friendly people. Real and genuine, warm and welcoming, fun-loving
and funny to the core, the people here are also known for their natural creativity, unique language, and knack for storytelling. Come
with us as we discover the magnificent Atlantic Maritime Provinces.
Day 1: Our Atlantic Canadian experience begins today as we travel north to the Hagerstown, Maryland area for
our overnight accommodations. Dinner will be included tonight. (D)
Day 2: This morning we will travel through Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and into Connecticut where we may
catch a glimpse of clipper ships in some of the seaport cities along the way. We’ll touch parts of Massachusetts and
New Hampshire as we make our way to Portland, Maine. We will enjoy an included seafood dinner and spend
the night in the Portland area. (B,D)
Day 3: Following breakfast this morning we depart and continue north. We’ll cross into Canada near Machias, ME
and enter the Province of New Brunswick. Overnight accommodations will be in St. John, and dinner will be
included (B,D)
Day 4: This morning we leave the Province of New Brunswick and cross onto Prince Edward Island Province via
the 7-mile Confederation Bridge, that spans the Northumberland Strait. It’s a short drive to
the north shore of the island where we will really enjoy our visit to Green Gables, where
Lucy Maud Montgomery, an island native, wrote her famous Anne of Green Gables novel.
Next, we make our way to the capital city of Charlottetown, where we will check into our
hotel. Tonight’s dinner will feature seafood, abundant and delicious at Fisherman‘s
Wharf. (B,D)
Day 5: The time has come to leave this rustic island and we travel to the most southern point of Prince Edward Island
where we board a ferry bound for Pictou, Nova Scotia. We will continue on to Sydney, on Cape Breton Island, for
our accommodations tonight and tomorrow night. Enroute we will visit the Alexander Graham Bell National
Historic Site. This museum displays one of the largest collections of artifacts, photographs and personal mementos
commemorating the life and work of inventor Alexander Graham Bell. We’ll include
dinner tonight. (B,D)
Day 6: Following breakfast this morning we will welcome our local guide onboard as we
experience Cape Breton Island and the Cabot Trail. We will make stops along
the way, which will include a visit to an Artisans Shop in Cheticamp. Our lunch will be
included today. Make sure you have your cameras on hand today to photograph this
spectacular scenery. We will return to Sydney for overnight again. (B,L)
Day 7: We will depart our hotel this morning and journey to The Fortress of Louisbourg, which is a National
Historic Site of Canada and the location of a one-quarter partial reconstruction of an 18th-century French fortress. Its
two sieges, especially that of 1758, were turning points in the Anglo-French struggle for what today is Canada. By late
afternoon we will return to Sydney and board the Marine Atlantic Ferry for a relaxing overnight

crossing to Argentia, Newfoundland. Once onboard we will enjoy an included dinner. (B,D)
Day 8: Following an included breakfast we disembark in Argentia and continue to North America’s oldest city, St.
John’s, Newfoundland. We’ll welcome our local guide onboard for a tour to include Canada’s second largest National Historic Park, Signal Hill; Cape Spear, home of the oldest lighthouse and the most easterly point in North America. Our overnight accommodations are in the St. John’s area and dinner will be included tonight in the area. (B,D)
Day 9: Following breakfast we drive the short distance to Bay Bulls, a small fishing village
located just a short distance from St. John’s. We’ll board Gatherall’s Puffin & Whale
Watch boat and sail out of the sheltered harbor and discover the nautical wonders of the rugged coastline. Following our boat ride, we will enjoy an included lunch. Next, we continue
our journey as we travel northwest to the Grand Falls area, where we have accommodations
for the next two nights. (B,L)
Day 10: Following breakfast we travel the scenic rocky coast of Notre Dame Bay to the infamous “Iceberg Alley” to the historic town of Twillingate. Following an included lunch,
we’ll explore Iceberg Alley with Newfoundland’s award winning boat tour! We will marvel
at 12,000 year old icebergs on their epic journey from Greenland, observe majestic humpback
whales as they feed in Twillingate’s coastal waters, and watch elegant seabirds frolic along our
coastlines. From the Arctic Circle all the way to Newfoundland and beyond, experience these
12,000 year old Greenland icebergs up close and personal. Hear the ice crack under the Newfoundland sun and see their fissures and scars shimmer against a scenic backdrop. Overnight
will again be in the Grand Falls area. (B,L)
Day 11: This morning we depart for Gros Morne National Park, which provides one of the world’s great geology lessons. We’ll explore towering inland fjords
and lush park walking trails. Moose, caribou, waterfalls and dozens of unforgettable
photographic stops add to the experience of this UNESCO World Heritage destination. We’ll view Lobster Cove Head Lighthouse while in Rocky Harbour and enjoy
a boat cruise on Bonne Bay, with even more photo opportunities. We’ll have
a chance to partake in an age-old tradition know as a “screech in”, featuring live traditional music, a Cod fish, Sou’wester, and a little of the famous Newfoundland
Screech. We’ll come away with a certificate declaring us an “honorary Newfoundlander”. Lunch will be included
today. Later this afternoon we continue to Corner Brook, where we will spend the night. (B,L)
Day 12: Following breakfast we enjoy a leisurely drive to Port-aux-Basque to board our ferry to Sydney, Nova
Scotia. During the 6-hour crossing we will enjoy an included lunch and the onboard amenities as well as the spectacular scenery. On arrival we will spend the night in Sydney. (B,L)
Day 13: Following breakfast we travel along the Marine Drive enroute to Halifax, where we will check into our hotel.
We have accommodations for the next two nights in the heart of downtown Halifax, Nova Scotia. Dinner tonight
will be included. (B,D)
Day 14: Today’s sightseeing includes a city tour of Halifax, including a stop at the Fortress
Citadel. Later in the morning we will travel to Peggy’s Cove, where we will view the most photographed lighthouse in the world. We’ll enjoy an included lunch at the Sou’wester Restaurant
at Peggy’s Cove. We will return to Halifax this afternoon and will overnight here again. Tonight we
have reserved seats for the world renowned Nova Scotia International “Tattoo”. Each year,
hundreds of Canadian and International musicians, pipers, drummers, dancers, gymnasts, singers and
military display groups gather to perform in Canada’s most outstanding, annual entertainment extravaganza. (B,L)
Day 15: We will depart Halifax this morning and journey along the Evangeline Trail enroute to Digby. By late

at the L.L. Bean sporting goods store, which is open 24 hours daily, 365 days a year. More then 100 other retail shops

Day 17: We depart this beautiful area following breakfast this morning, and travel to
Mystic, Connecticut where we will visit Mystic Seaport, along the Mystic River.
Among its 17 acres are historic houses, shops and trade buildings that promote an understanding of life in a seaport during the mid-19th century. Ship models, scrimshaw, figureheads and small boats trace the history of ships, shipbuilding and maritime activities.
Lunch will be included here. By mid-afternoon we depart for the New York City

Day 1: Anytime is a beautiful time to visit Savannah, Georgia, where preservation is a way of life and the first city in
America planned on squares. The city was founded by General James Oglethorpe as England’s 13 th and last colony. 20 of Oglethorpe’s original 24 squares survive, bordered by handsome townhouses and landscaped with flowers, fountains, and statues. Our
first stop will be at the Mighty Eighth Air Force Heritage Museum in Pooler, just outside of Savannah. The museum
contains thousands of historic items dating from WW II to the present as well as vintage aircraft, exhibits and a video archive. We’ll
see “Mission Experience”, a presentation that will immerse us in the sights and sounds of a bombing run over Nazi Germany. Next,
a buffet lunch will be included at The Lady & Sons, in the Historic City Market in Savannah. This
local favorite restaurant features southern fried chicken, BBQ pork ribs, and low country boil . Following
lunch we welcome our local guide onboard our motorcoach for a tour of Historic Savannah. Following dinner we have seats for Savannah Live*. This is a high-energy 2 hour variety show that features
everything from “Pop” to “Broadway” and “Motown to “Rock & Roll!” This # 1 show Features a rockin’

Day 2: Following breakfast this morning we depart for Charleston. From beautiful gardens to stately antebellum homes,
Charleston is at once easy-going and elegant. Our first stop will be the Old City Market area,
where we can browse through the many specialty shops, boutiques, and open sided buildings. The
original owners, who specified that it always must remain a public market, deeded this market to the
city. Lunch will be included at Bubba Gump, famous for their fresh and tasty variety menu.
Next, we will welcome our local guide on board for a guided tour of this beautiful 300-year-old
city, renowned for its splendid architecture. Overnight will be in the Charleston area. Tonight we will
have time to explore and have dinner at the Tanger Outlets , located in N. Charleston. (B,L)
Day 3: We depart this morning for Wadmalaw Island, to visit the Charleston Tea Plantation. Over 100 years
ago, tea planters brought their finest tea bushes from China, India, and Ceylon to the South Carolina low country. Now the descendants of those very plants are growing strong at the nation's only tea plantation, nestled on a serene sea island near Charleston. As we
enter the plantation we will see thousands of tea plants growing on acres and acres of rich and fertile low country soil. Highlights of
our visit will be an informative and educational tour of the factory as well as a visit to the gift shop stocked with interesting and exciting items including the American Classic Tea which is produced here and has a wonderful flavor. In addition to the factory tour
and gift shop, a Trolley bus will take our group on a guided tour of the Plantation grounds. Before departing we’ll enjoy a wonderful Tea Tasting. Our next stop will be a visit to the Angel Oak Tree. The Angel Oak is a Southern live oak tree located in Angel Oak Park, on Johns Island. It is estimated to be more than 1,500 years old, stands 65 ft tall,
measures 9 ft in diameter, and covers an area of 17,000 square feet. Its longest limb is 89 feet in
length. The tree and surrounding park have been owned by the city of Charleston since 1991. Before we depart for home, we’ll enjoy an included lunch at Gilligan’s Seafood Restaurant
near John’s Island. This family owned and operated business serves the freshest local seafood,

New Mexico, Texas and beyond! Today we begin our incredible journey westward as we board our motorcoach and travel across Tennessee and into Kentucky. We enjoy an included dinner tonight at the popular and unique
Patti’s 1880 Settlement. We spend our first night in Paducah, Kentucky. (D)
Day 2: This morning we travel into Illinois, and before long we arrive in St. Louis, Missouri, as we cross the
Mississippi River. We’ll make a stop here for a visit to the Anheuser-Busch Brewery. Our tour will
offer an in-depth look at how some of America’s favorite beers are crafted, using the finest, all-natural ingredients, by
following it through the steps of the brewing and packaging process. Since its founding in
1852 in St. Louis, Anheuser-Busch has been taking pride in producing some of the world’s
finest beers, one batch at a time. We will have an opportunity to taste some of the quality
products in the Hospitality Room at the conclusion of the tour. While on tour, we will see
and learn about the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales at the historic stables
built in 1885. These majestic giants have appeared in some of the most memorable Super
Bowl commercials over the years and represent a special part of Anheuser-Busch’s history.
Their size and strength will astound you, and the historic stables will make for a great photo opportunity. We continue
our journey to Independence for the night. Dinner will be included in the area tonight. (B,D)
Day 3: This morning we will visit the Harry Truman Library and Museum. We’ll see a reproduction of
Truman's White House office, the United Nation's Charter Table, and many of the late President's papers and memorials.
Harry & Bess are buried in the courtyard. Next we travel across the fertile lands of Kansas, passing mile after mile of
fertile wheat fields. This afternoon we visit Eisenhower Center in Abilene, KS. We’ll tour the family home
built on land plowed and planted more than fifty years ago by the six Eisenhower boys. The museum houses mementos,
souvenirs and gifts received during Eisenhower's career. The Library contains his Presidential papers, and the President
is buried in the Meditation Chapel. We continue to Hays, KS for our night's rest, following an included dinner.

Day 4: It's a scenic drive today as we continue across the great plains of Kansas. This afternoon we arrive in Colorado Springs, where we make our way to the base of Pike’s Peak
at the foot of the Rockies. Pike’s Peak rises 14, 100 feet. We’ll take the Pikes Peak Cog
Railway to the top for an unbelievable view of the area. Next, we will drive through the
Garden of the Gods, a 1300-acre park with massive red sandstone formations. Among
them are the Kissing Camel and Balanced Rock. The sun accentuates the color of the stone.
We’ll make a stop at the historic Garden of The Gods Trading Post. In the early
1920's Charles Strausenback built the Trading Post to resemble the homes of the Pueblo Indians. Since that time, the
Trading Post has expanded six times to become Colorado's largest art gallery and gift shop. We’ll include Dinner at the
Balanced Rock Café, located at the Trading Post. Overnight will be in Colorado Springs. (B,D)
Day 5: Colorado is a state of scenic superlatives and this morning we will see some of its spectacularly rugged splendor
as we take the short drive to the Royal Gorge of the Arkansas River near Canon City. Our ticket will include a
ride to the bottom of the gorge. Lunch will be included here also. Following lunch we will continue west across
the Continental Divide and the spectacular Colorado Rockies, where we will visit the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Monument, famed for its narrowness, its 1,730 to 2,725 foot depth, great expanses of sheer
rock granite walls and rugged gorge formations. We spend the night in Montrose, CO, where we will include

Day 6: A thrill-packed day awaits us today as we make our way to the frontier town of Silverton, CO. We’ll have
an included lunch at The Bent Elbow Restaurant and time to explore this fascinating town. By mid-afternoon
we will board the Silverton to Durango Narrow Gauge Train for an exciting journey down the scenic
“River of Lost Souls” Gorge. We’ll experience the adventure of traveling by a coal-fired, steam-powered locomotive on
the same tracks miners, cowboys and settlers of the old west took over a century ago. The ride from Silverton to Durango winds through spectacular & breathtaking canyons in the remote wilderness of the two-million acre San Juan National Forest for an unforgettable adventure. We’ll spend the night in the Durango area. (B,L)
Day 7: This morning we depart for Mesa Verde National Park in southwest Colorado.
The largest and earliest of the Cliff dwellings are located here. We’ll spend the morning touring
the ruins of this 52,000-acre park. We’ll make a stop at the Far View Visitor Center, visit the
Spruce Tree House, and drive the Mesa Top Loop Road. Lunch will be included at the
Far View Terrace Café in the park. By early afternoon we depart and make our way into
New Mexico, where we have accommodations for tonight in Albuquerque. (B,L)
Day 8: Following breakfast this morning, we’re off for an exciting ride on the Sandia Peak
Tramway, an aerial tram which lofts passengers to the top of 10,000-foot Sandia Peak. The 2.7 mile
ride is the longest clear and unsupported span in North America. The view, both east and west, is spectacular! Next, we’ll have free time and lunch in Old Town, the original Albuquerque founded in 1706.
Old Town clusters around a plaza and San Felipe de Meri Church. The warmth of aged adobe adds a special charm to its shops, galleries, restaurants and hidden patios. We can look here for bargains on silver
and turquoise jewelry. Our destination today is Amarillo, in the Texas panhandle. Dinner will be included at the World Famous Big Texan Steak Ranch, home of the free 72 oz. steak challenge.

Day 9: We continue our journey today as we head southeast and enter the “Sooner State”-- Oklahoma. By
late afternoon we arrive in the Capital City, Oklahoma City. Despite a sleek and sophisticated appearance, Oklahoma City has not forgotten its Western and Indian heritage. The 39 Indian tribes still represented in the state hold regular tribal activities in and around the city. We’ll make a stop at the Oklahoma City National Memorial. The
Outdoor Symbolic Memorial is a place of quiet reflection. This Memorial honors the victims, survivors, rescuers, and
all who were changed forever on April 19, 1995. It encompasses the now-sacred soil where the Murrah Building once
stood, as well as the surrounding area devastated during the attack. We spend the night here, where cowboys still practice their trade at the horse and cattle ranches in the surrounding area. Dinner will be included tonight. (B,D)
Day 10: We head for Tennessee this morning as we journey eastward. We arrive in Jackson, Tennessee,

Lynn’s Dude Ranch. We’ll experience the legend of Loretta Lynn as we tour her plantation

Day 4: It’s just a short drive to Memphis this morning and our first stop will be a visit to the legendary
Graceland. Only here can we begin to understand the personal life of “Elvis”, one of
the world’s greatest entertainers. We’ll see thousands of artifacts and walk through the Hall
of Gold, an 80-foot hallway lined with gold and platinum albums and singles representing the
sale of over one billion records, more than any other entertainer in the history of recorded
voice. Also included will be a tour of the interior of Elvis’ private jet, the Lisa Marie. We’ll
also have time to explore the museums and gift shops, featuring hundreds of Elvis’ tapes and
CD’s and every kind of souvenir imaginable. This afternoon we will
tour a National Historic Landmark, the legendary Sun Recording
Studio. Here, many rock-‘n-roll, country, and rockabilly legends
have recorded, such as Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Roy
Orbison, Charlie Rich and Jerry Lee Lewis. Now we travel down to
Beale Street to visit the Rock ‘n Soul Museum, which features
artifacts, pictures and music highlight slices of our cultural and musical past. Dinner will be included tonight at one of the city’s famous BBQ restaurants,

Day 5: - Following breakfast this morning we leave Tennessee behind as we travel into Mississippi, making a stop
in Tupelo, the birthplace of Elvis Presley. We’ll view the statue of Elvis as a boy, tour the humble tworoom house where the “King of Rock-‘n-Roll” was born, see his childhood church and visit the memorial chapel visitors
center and museum.

Day 2: Today we find ourselves crossing the Mississippi River as we pass through St. Louis, Missouri, the

Day 3: Following breakfast we continue our journey, spending much of the morning in Iowa, before turning westward into South Dakota. In the late afternoon we take the loop drive through
Badlands National Park, making a stop at the Visitor’s Center. Dinner will be included in

Day 4: We get an early start and continue travel westward into Wyoming this morning. We head toward Sheridan
in the Big Horn Mountains, the scene of many fierce battles between the U.S. Cavalry and the Sioux, Cheyenne
and Crowe Indians. Following lunch we will visit Fort Phil Kearny. Fort Phil Kearny was one of three U.S. Army
forts established along the Bozeman Trail in 1866. Named after deceased Civil War General Philip Kearny (pronounced
car-nee) the fort’s mission was to protect travelers along the Bozeman Trail against Indian attack. By mid-afternoon we
depart, heading north into Montana and stop overnight in Billings, in the heart of Yellowstone Valley.

Day 5: We depart this morning and continue to explore Montana. We’ll make a stop in Great Falls, to visit the
C.M. Russell Museum. This unique museum displays watercolors, sculptures and oil paintings of the cowboy
artist Charles Russell. We will overnight at the East Glacier Park Lodge. We’ll have an included dinner
and explore the area, with its magnificent views of the glaciers, mountains and lakes. (B,D)
Day 6: Following breakfast we’ll aboard our special touring vehicles and travel the “Going
to The Sun” highway, one of the most outstanding scenic roadways in the world. It’s a
veritable fairyland of snowfrosted peaks and sparkling ice caps. Our tour ends at Lake
McDonald, in Glacier National Park. Our accommodations are in the Kalispell area, the
high mountain town, and our home for tonight. Dinner will be included tonight (B,D)
Day 7: This morning it’s time to continue our journey northward traveling into Canada on our way to Calgary, in
the province of Alberta. Calgary is the second largest city in Alberta and home of the world famous “Calgary Stampede”. We’ll check into our hotel in Calgary before we depart for an included dinner . Following dinner we‘ll
visit Calgary Tower and enjoy a spectacular view of Calgary and the Canadian Rockies. Located 626 feet above the
downtown core, the Calgary Tower offers the best view in the city. From the Observation Deck we'll experience a spectacular 360° view of the bustling city, the majestic Rocky Mountains, the foothills, and the prairies.
We can stand on the amazing glass floor for a birds-eye view of the city streets below. (B,D)
Day 8: This morning’s journey carries us into the even more spectacular scenery as the highway
winds and climbs toward Banff. We’ll be in Banff National Park, which surrounds the year
round resort of Banff. Lunch will be included at the magnificent Banff Springs Hotel.
We’ll also take the 8-minute ride on the Sulphur Mountain Gondola for a spectacular view

Day 9: Our journey continues this morning through Magnificent Banff National Park to beautiful Lake Louise. This is one of the most photographed spots in Canada, with majestic Victoria Glacier towering in the background. Continuing north, great mountain ranges are on both
sides of the road as we climb to elevations above 7,000 feet. Snow-capped peaks rise to more
than 11,000 feet above us. Our highlight of the day is sure to be our snowcoach ride onto
the Athabasca Glacier, 2,000-foot thick extensions of the Columbia Icefield. We
will return to Banff for our overnight accommodations again tonight, where we will enjoy an
included dinner tonight. (B,D)
Day 10: We depart Banff this morning and head west, crossing into the province of British Columbia. Our journey will take us in the heart of British Columbia's interior. We’ll see a spectacular range of scenery as we travel between
the high peaks of the Canadian Rockies and across the ranchlands of the interior. Today's highlights include the
Continental Divide, a view of the Spiral Tunnels, a remarkable feat of railroad engineering, the Kicking Horse Canyon,
Rogers Pass and of course the glaciers and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies. Our overnight is in Kamloops, BC and dinner will be included. (B,D)
Day 11: Following breakfast our journey continues west towards the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver. On today's journey we will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the interior,
through the winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade Mountains and the lush green fields of
the Fraser River Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing
waters of Hell's Gate in the Fraser Canyon. On arrival in Vancouver we’ll be met by a local guide for a tour of Vancouver, which includes the former Expo site, Chinatown, Gastown, 1000-acre Stanley Park and the beautiful sunken
gardens of Queen Elizabeth Park. Following an included dinner we will overnight here in Vancouver. (B,D)
Day 12: Early this morning we board the Victoria Clipper bound for Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. We dock at the inner harbor area in downtown Victoria. The British legacy is indelibly
stamped on this beautiful city. The Parliament Buildings, the seat of British Columbia’s Legislative Assembly, overlook
the Inner Harbor. Our day will include a Victoria city tour and admission to the world-renowned Butchart
Gardens. Our self-guided tour of this spectacular garden features breathtaking roses,
annuals and perennials, and covers 49 acres. We’ll have some free time to explore in the
downtown/inner harbor area of Victoria before we depart for our return to Seattle,
Washington, where we will overnight. A Box Dinner will be included on the
Clipper enroute to Seattle. We’ll include admission to the Space Needle, which is 650
feet high and has been Seattle’s signature structure since it was built as the centerpiece for

Day 13: Following breakfast we board our motorcoach and head south toward Oregon. We’ll make a stop at
Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument Visitor Center on the shore of Silver Lake this
morning. We continue south along the scenic, rugged Oregon coast, making our way all the way to Bandon,

Day 14: After breakfast we are on our way, continuing along the coast of Oregon to Gold
Beach. Here, where the Rogue River empties into the Pacific Ocean, we enjoy an unforgettable Jet Boat excursion up the river to the tiny town of Agnes. In this modern world, this
Mail Boat is still the only way folks here have of getting their mail! Back onboard our motorcoach,
we cross the state line into northern California, destined for majestic Redwood National
Park. Our route carries us deep into the heart of America's greatest Redwood Forest, where
the tall trees block the sunlight from the sky above. Dinner and overnight are in Fortuna, California area . (B,D)
Day 15: Following breakfast this morning we leave Fortuna behind, traveling through another magnificent Redwood

departing the area we’ll take a drive to view the awesome Lake Tahoe area, making stops for pictures along the way.

Day 18: Leaving Salt Lake City this morning, we cross into Colorado, headed for Colorado Springs, where we have accommodations for the next two nights. Colorado
Springs is 6,000 feet above sea level, which may explain why it was chosen as home of the
high-flying U.S. Air Force Academy. West of the city, 14,110-foot Pike Peak stands tall,
providing a lovely alpine backdrop. Dinner will be included at one of Denver’s
favorite restaurants, enroute to Colorado Springs. (B,D)
Day 19: Following breakfast this morning we will make our way to the base of Pike’s Peak at the foot of the Rockies.
We’ll take the Pikes Peak Cog Railway to the top for an unbeatable view. Following our Cog Railway adventure, we will visit the U.S. Air Force Academy. Grounds include a B-52
bomber display, scenic overlooks, a chapel, planetarium and Falcon Stadium. We
will also be awed as we a drive through the Garden of the Gods, a 1300-acre
park with massive red sandstone formations. Among them are the Kissing Camel
and Balanced Rock. The sun accentuates the color of the stone. Overnight will
again be in Colorado Springs, and dinner will be included near our hotel.

Day 20: It’s time to bid farewell to Colorado as we head east this morning. We’ll be on I-70 all day today as we travel
into Kansas. We’ll drive by the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum in Abilene,
KS. We’ll catch a glimpse of the boyhood home of President Dwight David Eisenhower. This is also the final resting
place of Dwight D. and Mamie Doud Eisenhower. We’ll include dinner in the Abilene area before we continue on
to Topeka, where we will spend the night. (B,D)
Day 21: Today, our journey takes us into Missouri. This afternoon we marvel at the Gateway Arch and get our cameras ready for a picture of this amazing structure. Dinner will be included tonight near Cape Girardeau, MO. We

Day 1: Today we travel through the mountains of West Virginia and Pennsylvania as we make our way to Fairmont,
West Virginia, for an overnight stay. Dinner will be included tonight. (D)
Day 2: We enter the Empire State this morning arriving in Jamestown, New York, better known as “Lucy Town.”
We’ll step back in time to the days of filming the popular I Love Lucy show. We’ll visit the Lucy Desi Museum
and Desilu Studios where we’ll find a complete re-creation of Lucy and Ricky Ricardo’s New York City apartment, as well as the Hollywood hotel suite. Also there’s an interactive “Vitameatavegamin” set, a screening area, original scripts, and showcases filled with vintage memorabilia as well as costumes that were worn on the show. Our visit to
“Lucy Town” will be complete with an included lunch at the Tropicana Room. Next we travel to Lockport
for the Lockport Locks & Erie Canal Cruise. This is a unique 2-hour cruise past many of the historic sites
and five original locks. The cruise includes being raised and lowered 50 feet in the only double set of locks on the Erie
Canal. After the cruise, we’ll walk along the canal where you’ll have time for an evening snack before we check in our
Niagara Falls, NY, hotel, where we have accommodations for the next two nights. (B,L)
Day 3: Off to spend the day enjoying the classic North American landmark - Niagara Falls, USA. We arrive at America’s Oldest State Park, Niagara Falls State Park where we start exploring the area by taking the elevator to the
top of the U.S. Observation Tower. Extending out dramatically over Niagara Gorge, this architectural wonder
affords unobstructed views of the wild cascades of Niagara Falls. Next we take the elevator to the base of the gorge to
experience the raging whitewater as we board the world famous Maid of the Mist for an up-close view of the
American and Canadian Falls. We will literally be covered in the mist. Don’t worry you will be furnished with a raincoat! We will also discover the story behind the thunder at the Niagara Adventure Theater in Niagara Falls, NY as the
film, “Niagara: Legends of Adventure” immerses you in action. See the majesty that inspired settlers and

Day 4: Imagine being able to reach out your hand and touch the power emanating from Niagara Falls. A trip to the Visitors Center at Niagara Power Project can emulate that very experience. Located just 4-miles downstream from
the Falls, it is set amidst the spectacular scenery of the Niagara River Gorge. From here we travel to Grove City, Pennsylvania, where we visit Wendell August Forge. We’ll see some of the hammered metal giftware and other hand
-forged items offered for purchase. Their creations have been commissioned for four U.S. Presidents and even the Queen

Day 3: Our first stop of the day is in Newport, RI at the famous Bowen’s Wharf to explore the
many shops and boutiques. Then we’re off to see the acclaimed “Ten Mile Drive.” As our coach slowly winds
through the many homes and exquisite estates of the “400,” we’ll marvel at the beauty of these buildings &
grounds. In the early afternoon, we will depart from Newport and travel to Cape Cod. We travel historic Route
6A through Sandwich viewing the village green, the dunes at Sandy Neck, a cranberry bog and Cape Cod Bay.
We continue our journey into Hyannis for a tour of the area including the Kennedy Memorial, Hyannisport and

Day 4: This morning we board the ferry for a cruise to Martha’s Vineyard, where we enjoy a sightseeing tour of the island. You’ll discover that much of the island remains as it was when the first white settlers came. See Oak Bluffs, beaches
in long sweeps of unbroken beauty, salt sea marshes, picturesque yacht harbors, and Edgartown, a fashionable harborside community of narrow streets
and stately old homes. Tonight ….a delicious lobster dinner at one of

Day 5: Following breakfast this morning we board the high speed ferry to Nantucket, which is not just an island but an experience! Here, on the warm clear
waters of the Atlantic is nestled a community whose original colonial New England heritage and atmosphere of 300 years ago is virtually unchanged. It’s a treasure chest of history, legend, art, & architecture reflecting the long-gone, but never
forgotten whaling era. We will include a sightseeing journey around the
island and time to browse the old maritime town and enjoy the quaint shops and
sights before boarding the ferry back to the mainland. We arrive back to Hyannis

Day 6: We begin our day with a visit to Plymouth Rock, the point of the Pilgrim’s landing on December 21, 1620. We’ll see the rock, then board a replica of the Mayflower, for a tour. Next on the agenda is a
visit to the Marketplace at Faneuil Hall in Boston. The Marketplace was actually built in 1826
and served as a functioning marketplace for meat, poultry, eggs and
butter until its renovation in 1976. We’ll partake of an included
lunch at the famous “Cheers” restaurant. Following lunch we’ll welcome our local guide onboard our motorcoach for a tour of this beautiful and historic city. We’ll see the Boston Common, the oldest public park in the country, where cows once grazed, soldiers
drilled, witches were hanged, and “common scold” were dunked in
the Frog Pond. In addition, the Old State House, from whose
balcony the Declaration of Independence was first read to the citizens
of Boston in 1776. We’ll also visit the Old North Church, from
whose tall steeple Robert Newman hung two lanterns that started Paul Revere’s famous ride. We’ll view the
USS Constitution, “Old Ironsides” of the War of 1812 before traveling to the Sturbridge, MA area

Day 7: We depart following breakfast this morning and head for Hartford,
CT, where we’ll visit the Mark Twain House. If you’ve seen A&E’s series
on Castles of America, you may be acquainted with the Mark Twain House. Tom
Sawyer, Huckleberry Finn and other classics were penned while Samuel Clemmons
resided here. The three-story Victorian mansion features many rare Tiffany pieces
and Clemmons memorabilia. This evening we enjoy an included dinner together. We overnight in the Baltimore, MD area. (B,D)
Day 8: All too soon, our journey must come to an end. Following breakfast this morning, it’s time to turn

Day 1: We depart early today for the beautiful Golden Isles, where you can do a lot or do nothing at all. This area of Georgia
is where many prominent East Coast millionaires came in the late 1800’s and purchased Jekyll Island for $125,000. Following lunch
on our own we will enjoy a trolley tour of Jekyll Island’s famous historic district. This tour will take us back to an era of croquet
and badminton on manicured lawns. Our accommodations for tonight will be in the area following our included dinner. (D)
Day 2: No need to be in a hurry this morning as we enjoy a leisurely breakfast at our hotel. Fol-
lowing breakfast we depart for St. Simons Island where we will board the St. Simons Trolley,
for a narrated tour of the island. We’ll drive by the Lighthouse, one of only three working lighthouses in Georgia; Bloody Marsh, site of the famous 1742 battle where the fate of the Southern Colonies
was decided; Fort Frederica, the colonial town and fort settled by General James Edward Oglethorpe;
Retreat Plantation, where relics from the slavery era still exist. This is the only trolley tour on St.
Simons Island that takes us inside historic Christ Church. We will truly enjoy the entertaining and
informative narrative of 400 years of island history and folklore as we ride along in the original Vintage Green Trolley. Our guide will also point out the best places to eat, shop, and play. It’s the perfect way to see and experience
island life, while getting a good overview of the entire island. We will have lunch on our own in the area, before we depart for
Amelia Island, Florida. We arrive at Amelia Island Fernandina Beach, our home for the next two nights. Dinner is included this
evening at Sliders Seaside Grill overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. (B,D)
Day 3: This morning we’ll board a cruise departing from Fernandina’s historic waterfront enjoying breath-
taking views of wild horses on Cumberland Island, Georgia. We’ll see salt marshes, wilderness beaches, dolphins, sea turtles, manatees, egrets, herons, spoonbills, along with shrimp boats and luxury yachts. Following lunch on our own, we welcome our local guide onboard our motorcoach as we discover the beauty and
charm of Amelia Island, from its pristine beaches, to the sumptuous resorts and Victorian architecture. Later
this afternoon we’ll have time to explore Old Town Fernandina. This area, with many shops and restaurants, is recognized on the National Register of Historic Places. Lunch today will be included in this
area. We end our day with a relaxing horse drawn carriage ride through the beautiful residential area of

Day 4: This morning you may want to sleep late or take a walk on the beach. Our first stop will be the Amelia Island Museum where we learn about the island’s history and how it was a haven for Scottish smugglers, Mexican pirates and Cuban freedom fighters. Farmers Market. Mingle with local farmers and entrepreneurs and wander through a dizzying selection of

Jefferson Davis. Its construction was begun in 1848 facing the Gulf Coastline at Biloxi, Mississippi. Now, it's on to New Orleans, Louisiana's largest city. Following lunch on our own, we
will welcome our local guide onboard for a tour of this city of contrasts. In the French Quarter
old brick and plaster buildings with iron-tatted balconies crowd narrow streets while just across
Canal Street new office towers soar. Following our city tour we will check into the beautiful Drury Inn & Suites, near the French Quarter, where we have accommodations for the next two nights. We will have dinner included at one of the popular French Quarter restaurants. (B,D)
Day 3: This morning we are in for a special highlight of our tour as we head to Vacherie, for a visit to Oak Valley Plantation.
Known as the Grande Dame of the Great River Road, we’ll enjoy her beauty & dream of her rich past! At the time Oak Alley was
built, the River Region sugar industry was flourishing, and a chain of stately plantations lined the banks of the Mississippi. Too many
of these plantation homes since have been devoured by the passage of time, but Oak Alley remains as a testimonial to a bygone era.
We’ll explore 25 acres of historic grounds and take a guided tour of the "Big House". We’ll learn about the impact the Civil
War had on this region as we view the Civil War Encampment Exhibit & witness the reconstructed slave quarters and tour the Slavery at Oak Alley Exhibit. Included will be a Cajun/Creole Buffet Lunch. Following lunch we’ll return to New Orleans where
we’ll have some free time for browsing in the French Quarter. We surely will want to sample New Orleans famous beignets at Cafe
Du Monde. Perhaps we will want to take time to ride the St. Charles Avenue Streetcar, shop in the French Market, or visit the

will be at a scenic portion of Quechee Gorge, Vermont’s Little Grand Canyon. A bridge on Hwy 4 spans the gorge
165 feet above the Ottauquechee River. We’ll also make a stop at Quechee Gorge Village that offers antiques, arts and
crafts. Next, we’ll check into our hotel in White River Junction, Vermont, where we will spend the next three

Day 4: Following breakfast this morning we continue our amazing New England journey as
we travel into New Hampshire and the White Mountains. We enter Franconia
Notch State Park before riding the Cannon Mountain Tram. The enclosed 80passenger tram rises 2,022 ft. over a distance of one mile to Cannon Mountain Summit where
the view is magnificent.
We continue to enjoy the breathtaking scenery along our route through the White Mountains and we pause for an included elegant lunch and Tour of the Mount Washington Luxury Resort Hotel. This afternoon we will enjoy a nostalgic, narrated, train ride on the Conway Scenic Railroad. Our 21 mile, 1¾ hour
roundtrip excursion offers a relaxing train ride that takes us “over the river and through the woods.”
We’re invited to sit back and enjoy the passing scenery as we travel through fields and woodlands,
crossing the East Branch, Saco and Ellis Rivers on the way to Bartlett. Here we also have the opportunity to watch the locomotive “run around” for the return trip to North Conway. By late afternoon
we depart for our return to White River Junction, where we will spend the night once again. (B,L)
Day 5: Our first stop this morning will be to visit the Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks, in
Montpelier, VT. Free sugar house tours and tasting, multimedia displays in a real woodshed theater, a
nature trail, country store, and an outdoor Vermont farm life museum make up the Morse Farm experience and sprinkled throughout, are whimsical carved folklife characters created by Burr Morse . A
highlight today will be a tour of Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory, nestled in the heart of the
Green Mountains, on a rolling pasture overlooking the Worcester Range, just north of Waterbury.
We’ll also include a stop at the Cold Hollow Cider Mill, located at Waterbury Center. This Vermont legend is New England’s largest producer of apple cider. We’ll watch cider making and sample
free cider fresh from the press. On hand is a collection of antique cider making and agricultural machinery. We return to our White River Junction Hotel for a third night and an included dinner in the area. (B,D)

the sunny second floor café/patio area, where we will include lunch. Next, we depart for West
Point, New York, where we will visit the U.S. Military Academy. We’ll have a guided

Gettysburg’s newest attraction, the Gettysburg Seminary Ridge Museum. Located on the campus of the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg, Schmucker Hall, which houses the museum, was witness to the first day’s battle action and then quickly
was transformed into a field hospital for the care of the wounded from both north and south. Now we will visit the Gettysburg
Heritage Center, formerly the American Civil War Wax Museum. It focuses on the town of Gettysburg and its heritage – before,
during and after the battle. Utilizing various historical documents, artifacts, interactive displays and 3-D photography, we will learn
about ordinary people doing extraordinary things at a difficult time in our nation’s history. Next, we will check into our hotel in the area. Tonight, we will enjoy an included dinner at the Dobbin House Tavern, Gettysburg’s oldest and most historic
home. Following dinner we are in for a treat as we experience a Presidential Evening with a visit from a special guest. An appearance

Day 3: After an included breakfast at the hotel this morning we continue our Sightseeing as we make a stop at the Gateway
Theater, where we will see the movie, “Fields of Freedom”. We will share the excitement of two young confederate soldiers as
they prepare for battle. Next, we steam into history with a ride on the Northern Central Railway located in New Freedom,
PA. The train is a faithful replica of the Civil War steam locomotive that carried Abraham Lincoln to deliver his now famous Gettysburg Address. These same tracks carried Lincoln’s funeral train two years later. Next, we will head to Harrisburg, PA for a sightseeing
cruise on the Pride of the Susquehanna Riverboat. We will learn the history of the area as we enjoy the beautiful Harrisburg skyline and majestic Susquehanna River! We continue our journey as we head to Lancaster, in the heart of Amish Country. We

Day 4: After an included breakfast buffet at the hotel this morning we welcome our step-on guide onboard our motorcoach

return to Louisville where we will have an included lunch at historic Churchill Downs, one of Louisville’s premiere attractions. Following lunch we will explore the amazing Kentucky Derby Museum. The first
Saturday in May, Churchill Downs graciously welcomes over 210,000 guests for the annual Kentucky
Derby. The Museum offers two floors of exciting exhibits giving us an in-depth look into Thoroughbred racing and the Kentucky Derby – the first jewel in racing’s Triple Crown. Also included is a 30minute walking tour of the grounds and track at Churchill Downs. Next, We will visit the Louisville
Slugger Museum, where we’ll enjoy a factory tour that lasts approximately 30 minutes. We’ll
have the opportunity to see bats being made and everyone will receive a miniature souvenir bat at the

Day 4 - Following breakfast this morning we will tour the Corvette Assembly Plant, in

kind aquarium system. Now it’s time for our early included dinner at Lambert’s Cafe,

PLAN FOR THE UNEXPECTED
Because of cancellation penalties incurred, especially on cruises, we strongly recommend the purchase of trip protection insurance, which includes trip cancellation, interruption, and emergency medical coverage. Ionosphere Tours assists customers
who wish to purchase travel protection by offering a plan through Travel Insured.
Purchasing this protection will insure you receive a refund if you have to cancel due
to an unforeseen sickness, injury, or death of the Insured, a Traveling Companion or
Family Member (Certain exclusions apply).
When you make a reservation for any travel with Ionosphere Tours, you will be offered the option of purchasing an insurance protection plan. The cost for the Deluxe
Travel Insurance is listed on each of our Trip Brochures. The best time to buy tour
protection is within 7 days of your initial deposit or payment so that you may be eligible for Existing Medical Conditions coverage. (Other conditions, restrictions and exclusions may apply). This insurance must be purchased no later than your final trip
payment date. If you choose not to purchase insurance, every effort will be made by
Ionosphere Tours to refund you any monies we are able to recover. Penalties will
occur after the final payment date listed on each trip brochure.

Reservations:
We encourage you to make your reservations as soon as you decide you want to go on a trip. Why? Because only a limited number of
people can be accommodated on our motorcoaches and some trips fill up quickly. Your deposit reserves your spot. To make a reservation simply call our office. Deposits are due 10 days after making your reservation. A confirmation will be mailed after your deposit is
received. Credit card payments will incur a 3% to 5% surcharge due to the processing fees charged to us by Credit Card Companies.

Cancellation & Trip Interruption Insurance:
When you make a reservation for a Tour, you will be offered, TRAVEL INSURED, insurance protection at that time. If you choose to
purchase this insurance we will accept the payment and you will be sent a Certificate of Insurance. For this motorcoach tour coverage,
pre-existing conditions will be waived if your payment is received within 7 days of making your initial trip deposit. Because of cancellation penalties incurred, especially on cruises we strongly recommend the purchase of Cancellation/Interruption Insurance. Without the
purchase of insurance you will only receive a full refund if you cancel before the final payment date listed on each of the trips brochures. Insurance premiums are non-refundable.
I.T.’s MONEY:
For each day you travel with us you will receive $2.00 of I.T.’s Money (Ionosphere Tours Money). You may apply that amount to any
Ionosphere Tour. The coupon is not transferable to any other person and is not redeemable for cash. When submitted, the I.T.’s money credit will be deducted from the final payment of the tour for which it is being used.

Transportation:
Round-trip transportation is provided via our Prevost motorcoaches. All coaches are equipped with restroom, air-conditioning, adjustable seats, DVD & monitors, public address system, scenic view cameras, wireless internet and tinted panoramic viewing windows
Accommodations:
Your highly-rated accommodations are chosen on the basis of location and cleanliness. We think you'll be delighted with our selections. We will try to accommodate special room requests, but they can not be guaranteed. Room assignments are made by the hotel.

Sightseeing:
All sightseeing tours, guides, and admissions are covered in the tour price as outlined in the itinerary.
Luggage Handling:
Luggage handling is included - 1 bag per person. You may also bring 1 small overnight bag which will be your personal responsibility.
Customers are reminded that we will gladly allow storage of carry-on bags in the luggage bay under the coach. Drivers will not be
responsible for bringing these items to the rooms or for providing access to these bags until the end of the day.
Gratuities:
All necessary tips to bellmen, doormen, and dining room tips on meals in the itinerary are included.
Meals:
Meals are covered if so stated in the itinerary. The following codes describe what meals can be expected: B – Breakfast (Breakfast may
be a full or a continental breakfast), L - Lunch, D - Dinner
What's Not Included:
Meals: Other than meals stated on the itinerary.
Personal expenses: Room Service, telephone calls and all other items of a personal nature.
Gratuities to Tour Director and Driver: Gratuities are appreciated, and the amount is always at your discretion.
Suggestions - $2.00-$4.00 per person per day for your Tour Director and $2.00-$4.00 per person per day for your Driver.
Gratuities on Cruises: You will be given guidelines from the Cruise Company for expected tipping.
DEPARTURE and RETURN POINTS:
We will depart and return to the same locations on each of our tours. The following is a list of those places. In some cases if you are the only passenger at a location, we may ask you to join us at a nearby location. Anderson, SC – Walmart on Liberty Hwy.; Lavonia, GA– Holiday Inn Express
exit 173 off I-85; Augusta, GA- Food Lion Belair Rd.; N. Augusta, SC – New Walmart Hwy 25 near I-20; Aiken, SC – Walmart Hwy 1.
OTHER DEPARTURE and RETURN POINTS:
We will also pick up along most major routes, such as I-20, I-85, I-95, and I-75 when the tour travels through a city on both its departure and return.
Ask for details when you call to make your reservation!
A special pick-up for a group depends upon the number of passengers, distance involved, and length of the tour. All special pickups
must be approved.
Our departure locations are doing you and Ionosphere Tours a service by allowing us to use their establishments for arrivals and
departures. Not all of these locations allow parking. If you must leave a vehicle parked while on tour, kindly check with someone at
that pick-up point. Neither these locations nor Ionosphere Tours are responsible should damage occur to your vehicle.
Please be at your departure point and visible at least ten (10) minutes prior to your scheduled departure time.
THE STAY IS ON US:
Ionosphere Tours offers a maximum of $70.00 towards an overnight stay prior to the tour departure to anyone subject to all of these conditions:
 Takes a tour of 5 days or more in duration.
 Lives more than 70 miles from the nearest available pick-up point for that tour.
 Verifies pick-up point and requests the $70.00 refund and provides a receipt for the overnight room. (When the tour departure time is late
enough to allow you to drive to the departure point that morning, an overnight stay is not warranted.)
