Lots of expensive projects which have been successfully realized so far in order to
renew the Town of Zamosc, have proved that the town is a place worth changing its
image. I am convinced that it is high Ɵme to treat Zamosc as a town with bright future
and at the same Ɵme to bring to an end thinking of it just as a small, ordinary town
located in the poor eastern part of Poland.
From 2006 to 2012 Zamosc is going to spend more than 125 million EUR on
revitalizaƟon of the Old Town’s monuments and buildings, as well as to make
investments on infrastructure and environment. Also, private entrepreneurs are
making more and more investments with every year. They usually decide to invest in
trade and hotels. We, ciƟzens of Zamosc, have ambiƟon to live, study and work in the
Town where modernity, innovaƟons, enterprise and excepƟonal history and tradiƟons
mix all together in harmony. Launching the Subzone Zamosc Special Economic Zone
Euro-Park Mielec proved that the idea of Jan Zamoyski, the founder of the Town – to
create the ideal town – can be realized now just as it was more than 400 years ago. It is
my pleasure and pride to invite you to Zamosc, the Town which is unique, perfect, just
ideal to invest in. We are ready.

Zamosc Subzone – exempƟons and preferences
Investment sites
The Town of Zamosc has many investment sites in attracƟve locaƟons. Szczebrzeska District – covers 27,1494
ha, the plot no 12 and 14/40 on the ground map 7. Starowiejska District – covers 7,5716 ha, the plots no 243/4,
243/5, 243/13 on the ground map 18.
The both Districts are located near naƟonal roads. The
Starowiejska District is a brown eld - the eld aŌer former factory of houses. There is no possibility for further
expansion. The Szczebrzeska District is a green eld located next to the area of Zamosc Community.
The Subzone Zamosc spreads on the area of almost 35 ha
of land and there is the intenƟon of extending the Szczebrzeska District. The administraƟve procedures for adding
another 19 ha to Szczebrzeska District are in progress.
InvesƟng in the Special Economic Subzone Zamosc is very benecial since entrepreneurs conducƟng business acƟvity can obtain public assistance in the
form of income tax exempƟons as well as other preferences. The public aid is
granted due to expenditure on: new investment and the creaƟon of new jobs.
The corporate tax exempƟon based on investment is: 50% of the total expenditures for large entrepreneurs, 60% for medium size and 70% for small size
entrepreneurs.
The investment expenditures within the Subzone Zamosc that qualify for aid
are:
• purchase of parcels ownership or perpetual usufruct rights,
• purchasing or own fabricaƟon of xed assets,
• development and modernizaƟon of exisƟng xed assets,
• the purchase intangible assets associated with technological transfer through
the acquirement of patents, licences, know-how, or technical knowledge.
In case of entrepreneurs other than small and medium size the investment expenditures can be increased maximum up to 50% .
The condiƟon for obtaining the aid is conducƟng business acƟvity and sustaining
xed assets for at least 5 years for large and 3 years for small and medium size
entrepreneurs.

The maximum amount of corporate tax exempƟon based on the creaƟon of new
jobs is 50% of the total value of two-year labor costs resulƟng from hiring of new
employees for large entrepreneurs, 60% for medium size and 70% for small size
entrepreneurs.
Large entrepreneurs must keep newly created jobs for a period of Ɵme no shorter than 5 years, while small and medium size ones for 3 years.
The tax exempƟons menƟoned above are given only for acƟvity undertaken in
the area of the Special Economic Subzone Zamosc.
From 26 October 2009 the Subzone Zamosc oīers special public support, called
regional support for investors. The Town Council, which passed the resoluƟon
decided that acƟve businessmen who will make new investments and employ
new staī can be given exempƟon from property tax.
„We want to pay tribute to the Town Council in Zamosc for professional assistance, great help and content-related support during
diĸcult business negoƟaƟons. We appreciate Ɵming, accuracy and
creaƟng friendly atmosphere to invest in Zamosc. People working
in the Town Hall proved their care of making the diĸcult process
of lling up all the procedures and documents as smooth and fast
as possible.”
Jaroslaw Wawerski, president of Tradis Ltd.
Another facility for investors is complete and cheaper infrastructure that makes
investments expenditures much lower. The informaƟon about the specicaƟon
and infrastructure of the grounds that belong to the Subzone Zamosc is available

We are ready
More than 400 years ago Jan Zamoyski, Chancellor and Hetman, founded Zamosc – the IDEAL TOWN. The Town designed by an Italian architect Bernardo
Morando is called “ideal” – not only because of its excepƟonal architecture, but
also thanks to its special atmosphere and spirit. Zamosc located in the centre of
contemporary Poland, in the place where the roads of European and Asian trade
met, was open for merchants from all Europe.
Z A M O S C – G E N E R A L D ATA
Today Zamosc is a tourist aƩracƟon, the local trading centre, a town with friendly
and peaceful atmosphere and a huge oīer of cultural aƩracƟons. It is also open
to every branch of enterprise. In years 2010 – 2011 local and coming from other
regions of Poland entrepreneurs invested in Zamosc more than 35 million EUR.

Two major communicaƟon lines of the town: naƟonal

Broad-Gauge Metallurgical Railway Line) which joins
Upper Silesia to the Ukrainian and Russian railway
systems. 60 km from Zamosc there are three border
crossings with Ukraine.
Nowadays, Zamosc is the main regional centre of services in the south part of Lubelskie province. The most
important branches for the region are: tourism and
trade. The town has got a long tradiƟon in the local industry, especially in food and furniture industry. Zamosc
is the centre of trade for all the smaller regional towns
and communiƟes. Hundreds of people – 450 000, including Zamosc – are potenƟal customers, who pay a
signicant role in increasing the local trade. The close
cooperaƟon with the EURO-PARK Mielec Special Economic Zone and the creaƟon of the Zamosc Subzone
aim to recover economic development of the town.
In Zamosc there are about 18 000 professionally acƟve
ciƟzens. Employment by sectors:
• services – 14 000 (public services – 7 000 (39% of
the all employed)),

Although, there is visible increase in hotels/restaurants
and property sectors, the number of employed in such
companies persons dropped from 3,4 to 2,4.

average place in Poland. Thus, the average, monthly gross

Zamosc , the town which in 1992 was inscribed on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List, is visited- every year- by more than 200 000 tourists from Poland, Germany, Italy, France, Israel and Japan. Annually, during cultural season - from May to
September, there are lots of arƟsƟc events-fesƟvals and celebraƟons- organized on
the Great Market Square.

than average in Poland – from 1% to 3%. In the end of
2010 the general number of the unemployed was 4 600.
From among the unemployed 2 200 were women.
In Zamosc the percentage of people with higher educaƟon is bigger than in average Polish town. According to
the latest data, while in Poland every twelŌh Polish ciƟzen is a graduate, in Zamosc every Ōh person graduates
from higher educaƟon schools.
Nowadays, in Zamosc there are 5 higher educaƟon
schools where study about 6 000 students. There are
