These gel tealights can be used in our Forever
Candles or anywhere a wax tealight would
be used. Gel candle tealights burn longer and
cleaner than average wax tealights, and the
wick contains no lead. Each tealight will
burn an average of 6-8 hours. Set of 6.

the candle is made as a Forever
Candle. Forever Candles use
a tealight at the top of the
candle, which can be burned
and replaced “forever”. Most
of our candles can be made
as a Forever Candle. Every
candle is perfectly scented

Frequently Asked Questions
We’ve assembled information to answer the most frequently asked questions by our
customers about gel candles.
Q. What if I want an option that’s not shown?
A. All of our candles are custom made to your order. If you don’t see an option listed, chances are we can make it! Contact us,
and we’ll be happy to assist you.
Q. What is a Forever Candle?
A. A Forever Candle is a glass insert that is placed on top of the gel candle and holds a gel tealight. Each tealight will
burn approximately 6-8 hours. All of our 16 ounce candles can be ordered as a Forever Candle for an additional cost and
include 3 gel tealights.
Q. What is gel?
A. Candle gel is manufactured from specially processed mineral oils and gelled with co-polymers. It has a clear rubbery
texture and gel burns twice as long as paraffin wax. All of our gel candles are made with Penreco Versagel.
Q. How long will my candle burn?
A. The average burning time for gel candles is 13 hours per ounce of gel. So, a 10-ounce candle will typically burn for
130 hours.
Q. How long can I burn my candle at one time?
A. It is highly recommended that you burn your candle for no longer than 4-hour intervals at a time. Allow two hours
in between lightings to allow the contents to cool.
Q. What happens to the embeds in the candle when the candle burns?
A. All embeds in the candle will not burn as the candle burns down. No flammable embeds are used in our products.
Most of the embeds are made of glass. Those embeds that are not made of glass, never come in contact with the flame.
Q. Why does the wick mushroom while it’s burning?
A. It is common for a wick of a fragranced candle to mushroom. Before burning your candle make sure you trim the
wick to 1/4 inch and maintain at that length throughout the burning length of your candle.
Q. Does the wick contain lead?
A. No, all wicks used in J and C Creations, Inc. products are safe and contain no lead. The wicks used are cotton core wicks.
To safely enjoy your Gel Candle:
*Keep wick trimmed to between 1/8 and 1/4 inch above gel.
*Discontinue use when candle gel reaches 3/4 inch.
*Remove any exposed embeds as they emerge from the cooled Gel.
*Never leave a burning Candle unattended.
*We recommend burning your candle for no more than 4 hours at a time.
*Cool candle and trim wick to 1/4 inch or less before burning again.
*Keep out of reach of Children or pets.
*Keep out of direct sunlight and heat.
*Burn Candle only on a level protected surface.
*Always protect furniture from heat of a burning candle.
*Never burn too close to flammables, including silk plants and curtains.
*Never burn a candle in a drafty area.
*DO NOT extinguish a Candle with water.
*Never burn a Candle in a container that is chipped or cracked.
*Always use caution when handling a warm candle.
Wick trimming Instructions
To trim wick, turn cooled candle upside down and trim with sharp scissors or nail clippers.
