SEEK is a unique summer experience designed
to challenge our young people. Its goal is to
stimulate creativity through hands-on programs
in arts, sciences and physical activities for
students ages 5-12. Classes are designed for
specific age groups. SEEK is open to all children
who wish to discover and develop their talents.

A Taste of Hogwarts
If you’re a Harry Potter fan and wish you could really
attend Hogwarts, this is the class for you! Play Quidditch,
mix potions, learn to care for magical creatures, hunt for
horcruxes, do your homework on parchment with a quill, and
make and taste delicious delicacies from Honeydukes. Have
fun participating in a variety of activities inspired by J.K.
Rowling’s Harry Potter.

Got your thinking cap on? This camp will stimulate both
sides of the brain while we explore word, math and science
problems. Building bridges, sending Barbie bungeeing,
and dropping eggs without breaking them are some of the
challenges we’ll face. Students solidify their experience by
reflecting on their skill while predicting future outcomes.

Explore how scientists research lions, elephants, and other

This course will entail making observation about the world
around us and using those observations to create scenes and
objects. Students will use their ideas to create movement,
tableaus, and stories. We will re-enact popular fairy tales,

our voices in dramatic play.

Hockey 101
Shoot! Score! Experience the coolest game on ice: floor
hockey style. This class will cover basic skills such as stick
handling, passing, and shooting. Try out these new skills
during 3-on-3 games. Deke, dangle and dish out assists. Hear
legendary Stanley Cup stories, earn your hockey nickname,
maybe even grow a mullet (or at least get a good start)!
No skating or hockey experience is required. All necessary
equipment will be provided.

Students will create improvisational scenes through acting
games. They will get to step outside themselves by becoming
different characters all while having fun and learning the
skills of collaboration. Students will have to think quickly

personality or the shy student who needs help coming out of
their shell.

Italian Culinary Tour
Become a junior chef! Starting from scratch we’ll make and
eat popular foods from Italy like fresh pasta, bruschetta and
artisan bread. No meal is complete without dessert, so we’ll

Get ready for a thrilling Paris fantasy trip! Visit landmarks,
create souvenirs, nibble on a baguette, and sing French
songs. Every day brings a chance to explore all that Paris has
to offer, including treats in a café, tours of dark catacombs,
making a gargoyle, racing a boat, a shopping spree on the
Avenue des Champs Elysees, and more!

the water, and, Making Waves allows kids to get a great cardio

Paperpalooza
Turn a bowl of goo made of water and paper scraps into
awesome-looking homemade paper. Change an ordinary sheet
of paper into a 3-D animal or character. Decorate your world
with chandeliers, sculptures, and other works of art all made
with paper. Paper, scissors, and guidance are provided; all
you need to bring is your imagination. Projects include paper
folding (origami), paper-cutting, paper sculpture and more.
Display your work at an art show on the last day of class!

The Golden Eagle Youth Sports Institute is a summer
camp where young athletes learn safety techniques

experienced coaches from the region. The Golden Eagle
Youth Sports Institute provides young athletes the

Rock Climbing
Participants will learn and practice the basics of climbing
including knot tying, rope climbing and walking on a
slackline. This class is great for kids hoping to learn a new,
fun-filled sport.

Rodeo
Participants will be instructed on safety, rules and
fundamentals of the three rough stock events (bareback
bronc riding, saddle bronc riding and bull riding) and of the
three timed events (calf roping, team roping, steer wrestling).

Soccer
Participants learn and practice the basics of the game
(dribbling, passing, shooting) as well as intermediate skills
and team strategies. This course is great for those ­already
interested in the sport and want to develop their skills as
they consider playing organized soccer in the future.

Swimming
Participants will learn a variety of swimming techniques
used in competitive swimming while also participating in
advanced pool games. Participants must be able to stand in
the shallow end of the pool (3.5 ft. depth) with their head
above the water. Coast Guard approved floatation devices
may be used any time.

Tennis
Participants will learn and practice the basic skills involved in
tennis as well as learn playing strategies. This class is great for
those considering playing competitive racquet sports in the
future.

Volleyball
Participants will learn and practice the basic skills of the
game (serving, passing, setting and attacking) as well as learn
intermediate skills and team strategies. This course is great
for those who are already interested in the sport and want

Volunteer for SEEK and earn a free class for
your child, grandchild or younger sibling!
SEEK (Summer Educational Experiences for Kids) is a unique
summer experience designed to challenge our young people.
Its goal is to stimulate creativity through hands-on programs
in arts, sciences and physical activities for students ages 5-12.
Classes are designed for specific age groups. SEEK is open to all
children who wish to discover and develop their talents!
• June 13-17 and July 18-22 are the dates!
oVolunteer in the mornings from 7:45-9:15 a.m. and/or,
oVolunteer in the afternoons from 11:45 a.m.-1:15 p.m.
• Payment is due at the time of registration for your child,
grandchild, or younger sibling
• Cost is $70 and will be refunded after volunteer hours are
completed
• A background check will be required for all volunteers
• Volunteers must be 15 years old or older
