This paper will be presented at the Forum. Program The program will be a mix of plenary sessions and workshops led by national and international keynote speakers and presenters. Thematic workshops will cover perspectives in health promotion, including: Public Health, Municipal leadership, and Non-Government Organizations and civil society. The World Health Organization hosted the First International Conference on Health Promotion in Ottawa in November 1986. Health Promotion adopted the Ottawa Charter, which identifies five key areas of initiative: 1) 2) 3) 4) 5) Build Healthy Public Policy, Create Supportive Environments, Strengthen Community Action, Develop Personal Skills, and Reorient Health Services.
