Fibrelite is the world’s leading manufacturer of high
quality composite manhole covers
and fiberglass
secondary containment systems. Fibrelite introduced
the lightweight composite manhole cover to the retail
petroleum industry over 25 years ago and currently
sells its products in over 70 countries worldwide.
Fibrelite has developed a new composite cover design nearly
every year and now manufactures more than 25 different
varieties of manhole covers, multiports and access covers.
Fibrelite currently manufactures round covers ranging in size
from 12” to 42” in diameter and square and rectangular covers
measuring from 18” square to rectangular covers measuring
over 55” long.
Fibrelite’s innovative composite technology allows for
multiport and single port cover designs – no other
company in the industry currently offers a multiport
composite cover that can handle 25-ton loading.
After 25 years, Fibrelite continues to stand for high
quality, watertight, corrosion resistant manhole covers
that last the lifetime of a site. With three manufacturing
plants located around the world, Fibrelite currently
manufactures over 20,000 composite covers annually.
From high performance composite covers to watertight tank

Fibrelite’s covers provide an excellent anti slip/skid surface
which is guaranteed for the life cycle of the cover, with a
Polished Skid Resistance Value of PSRV60> when wet, which
exceeds the requirements of The Highways Agency (HA)
104/09, part 5, for potentially high risk sites.
Resin transfer molding (RTM) manufacturing
Fibrelite’s products are manufactured in a closed mold
environment combining long strand multi-directional
fiberglass with a specifically formulated resin matrix to produce
an extremely durable but lightweight product, approx. 1/3rd
the weight of a steel or cast iron cover.

Fibrelite also offers the retail petroleum industry the widest
range of watertight fiberglass transition sumps, vent transition
sumps, ATG and monitoring well sumps as well as electrical
junction boxes and drawpits. The leading watertight, easy
to remove, non-bolted cover on the market is available in a
large selection of sizes and can be used for a wide range of
applications. From tank sump access to fill sump applications,
monitoring well and drawpit access, Fibrelite has it covered.
All covers are lockable and available in H20 (standard duty) or
H25 (heavy duty) load ratings.

Fibrelite offers a range of manhole cover accessories. These
include lifting handles (ergonomically designed to facilitate
easy and safe removal and replacement of the covers); security
locks for each size and style cover; fiberglass skirts that allow
for access into and drainage around the sump opening; safety
platforms and gasket replacement kits. All gaskets used in
Fibrelite’s watertight covers can be replaced if damaged.

Fibrelite offers a wide range of FRP sumps for nearly any
application and for any type of tank connection. Fibrelite’s
tank sumps are designed to work with Fibrelite manhole and
multiport covers, are available in a range of sizes and are all
height adjustable allowing for easy installation. All tank sumps
are designed to eliminate the possibility of transferring loads
from the manhole cover to the tank. Fibrelite’s round tank
sumps are currently available in sizes ranging from 45” to 60”
in diameter. All tank sumps are supplied with watertight sump
lids or spill platforms for fill sump applications.

dispenser sumps for both single and double wall applications.
Each dispenser sump is designed specifically for the dispenser
make and model allowing for easy installation and ensuring
a watertight system. All dispenser sumps are supplied in two
pieces creating the maximum space for installers to work.

Other containment systems
Fibrelite also offers the retail petroleum industry the widest
range of fiberglass transition sumps, vent transition sumps,
monitoring wells and ATG sumps as well as electrical junction
boxes and drawpits. These containment systems are all vacuum
testable and offer watertight solutions.
In order to reduce installation time on site, Fibrelite offers a
range of remote fill sump systems with pre-installed pipework.
Fibrelite’s electrical drawpits can also have factory-installed
conduit penetration fittings if required. All systems are vacuum
tested in-house prior to delivery ensuring piece of mind.

Fibrelite pioneered containment sump testing over ten years
ago and it has since become an industry standard. Using the
Sherlock vacuum test module, a short test is performed to check
the structural integrity of the sump system and the integrity
of the installation. A vacuum is created inside the sump and
then the Sherlock module monitors that vacuum over a period
of time, giving a pass or fail result. All containment systems
can be vacuum tested prior to backfilling and existing systems
can be tested after installation to determine the presence and
location of any leaks.
Fibrelite offers a wide range of penetration fittings and
conduit/cable entry kits. All models are designed for a
single hole installation and no additional bolt holes need to
be drilled. This provides the installer with a quick and easy
installation and minimizes potential leak paths through the
sump wall. The pipe sleeves are made from a fuel resistant
nitrile grade or viton rubber and the bellowed design
allows for movement with changing ground conditions.
