This mixed-use project encompasses 590 housing units, two day nurseries, 3,500 sq m of offices, a retirement home and a 112,000-sq m area dedicated to leisure, restaurants and retail to be called the Mall of Europe. Unibail-Rodamco will develop and operate the 550m Mall of Europe, with 230 units, fourstar services, iconic shopfronts, a 9,000-sq m Dining Experience with 30 restaurants, the largest cinema in Belgium with 4,000 seats and the first indoor “Spirouland” in the world, at the heart of a 15,000-sq m leisure centre. The project, expected to open in 2021, targets a BREEAM Excellent certification. L’ESPLANADE, LOUVAIN-LA-NEUVE Stand R8.E7 Presented by Klépierre Located in the heart of Brabant Wallon, the richest province of Belgium, Louvain-la-Neuve is a very attractive and vibrant city with its university and its huge research park. L’esplanade sees the future on a grand scale: in the heart of the pedestrian city of Louvainla-Neuve, the 20,600-sq m extension will allow the mall to better meet the needs of a growing catchment area of 800,000 inhabitants. By 2018, the centre will open 50 new stores on two new malls, and in 2016 will already have 3,300 additional parking spaces. L’esplanade is part of a large and dynamic urban plan, especially with the opening of the new RER train line in 2020, linking Louvain-la-Neuve to Brussels’ city centre. Many recent openings of fashion, beauty and home shops confirm the attractiveness and dynamism of the centre: Desigual, Superdry, Undiz, The Kaze, MAC, Sud express, etc. With more and more fashion, sports, beauty, multimedia offers, L’esplanade will offer in 2018 a richer and even more tempting shopping experience. 3 YEARS BELGIUM THE MINT, BRUSSELS Stand R7.K14 Presented by AG Real Estate/Devimo Consult THE Mint is a large retail high street project in a prime location in Brussels city centre. It is strategically located at a triple. A location, on the crossroads of the Rue Neuve and the historic and touristic centre of the city. It benefits from a catchment area of 1.3 million people in a 20-minute radius, which is projected to grow by 10% over the next decade. THE Mint will offer up to 15,000 sq m of retail space to accommodate a mix of large and smaller stores. DDS & Partners Architects’ design combines modernity and integration The Mint is an ideal project for flagship stores: it can provide units of more than 4,000 sq m, facing the magnificent Place de la Monnaie and will be part of the hustle and bustle of the Rue Neuve, Belgium’s busiest retail high street. Moreover, a public car park underneath the building has space for 600 cars. With its opening scheduled for 2016, this large scale project will attract new brands and stores eager to become part of Brussels’ top retailing location, visited each year by more than 15 million shoppers. VICTORIEHOF BY LE BON, TURNHOUT Stand R7.K14 Presented by AG Real Estate/Devimo Consult Victoriehof is located in the historic and commercial centre of Turnhout, a prosperous city in northern Belgium with over 80.000 people living within a 15-minute drive. The mixed-used project includes retail, residential and car park development. Victoriehof comprises 26 shops varying from 70 to 1,600 sq m that will extend the commercial high street with new, trendy shops which will offer a large variety of goods around cosy squares in a green and traffic free environment. Public underground parking is foreseen for 378 cars. Furthermore, 53 apartments will overlook a peaceful public park of 1,200 sq m bringing quietness and tranquility. The warm and friendly nature of Victoriehof is also reflected in the design and materials used. Sustainable materials such as brick, bluestone and zinc create a bright and open architecture. The architects, DDS & Partners Architects, aim for a subtle integration of the project into the existing structure of the city. In Victoriehof, living and shopping will be integrated harmoniously in the city centre. 4 YEARS CHINA CAPITAMALL TIANFU, CHENGDU, CHINA Stand P-1.J1 Presented by CapitaMalls Asia CapitaMall Tianfu is a one-stop shopping mall and landmark development in South Chengdu. It is located 6 km from Chengdu city centre, and has a catchment of 1.5 million within a 5 km radius. CapitaMall Tianfu is designed by WOHA, decked out in a glass and aluminium facade to form a new urban landmark. When open in end 2014, the eight-storey mall with a total gross floor area of 141,500 sq m will house key attractions including a cineplex, Olympicsize ice rink, gym and lifestyle supermarket. Surrounding the ice rink at Levels 6 and 7 will be duplex restaurants for consumers to enjoy the sport while dining. The mall atrium will also feature a futuristic digital ceiling and lush greenery. KERRY CENTRAL, HANGZHOU Presented by JLL Stand P-1.K51 Kerry Central will provide a 108,000-sq m shopping centre as the centrepiece of a 340,000-sq m mixed-use complex incorporating hotels, offices, apartments and a 1,700-space car park. The retail mall forms the link between the other elements of the scheme and will host international brands as well as a convenience offer, entertainment and a range of food and beverage options in keeping with the scheme’s city-centre location. Developer is Kerry Properties, and JLL is providing leasing and retail consultancy services. Completion is scheduled for 2015/2016. 5 YEARS CHINA JIHUA PARK CHANGCHUN Stand R8.D2 Presented by Jihua Group The Jihua Park destination centres will offer consumers a unique shopping experience that will combine quality brands at competitive pricing, sport hubs with modern equipment, hotels, restaurants and wellness centres to guarantee a glamourous and relaxing stay. The locations will become new tourism venues, complete with areas devoted to sports and entertainment, fashion villages, wellness areas, restaurants and hotels. The sports facilities will be an important element of the Jihua Parks, with a special focus on indoor applications: skiing, freefalling, free climbing and surfing will be only some of the activities that visitors will be able to take part in – at competitive prices and in complete safety. The 190,000-sq m Jihua Park Changchun will have a 40,000-sq m shopping centre as well as 10,000 sq m of hotel & spa facilities, a 28,000-sq m sports hub and 80,000 sq m of parking. Completion is scheduled for 2015. RAFFLES CITY CHONGQING Stand P-1.J1 Presented by CapitaMalls Asia Raffles City Chongqing is strategically located in the heart of the Yuzhong district of Chongqing. It will comprise a shopping mall and eight towers for residential, office, serviced residence and hotel use, with a total gross floor area of about 817,000 sq m. The shopping mall will have a total gross floor area of 222,000 sq m and is targeted to be opened in 2017. With a total investment value of about RMB21bn (€2.6bn), Raffles City Chongqing is CapitaLand Group’s biggest investment in China and the largest by any Singapore firm in the country. 6 YEARS CHINA HAPPY MALL, YINGKOU Stand R8.D13 Presented by ERA Planning Architecture Consulting Happy Mall is an open-concept shopping centre with an 80,000-sq m construction area. Additionally, a Macalline store is located next to the mall, linked to the complex. The tenant mix will focus on furnishings and homewares. ERA’s conceptual theme is based on creating joyful inner courtyards with landscape elements, reflection pools and canopies. While breaking the horizontality, the vertical canopies are used as an advantage, providing climate control for all seasons, from sun shading to rain blocking. The facade is designed by a single module, a box, used iteratively in order to create a more complex effect. GLOBAL HARBOR, CHANGZHOU Presented by Chapman Taylor The city of Changzhou is situated to the west of Shanghai on the main highway to Nanjing. The site for this project is located directly next to both the Changzhou motorway and the link to the city centre. The existing shopping centre on the site will be extended to provide over 500,000 sq m of new development. This will include a large new shopping centre with a strong focus on entertainment and leisure. In addition, a variety of towers are being developed, containing offices, hotel and residential uses. 7 Stand P-1.H14 YEARS CHINA FLORENTIA VILLAGE, GUANGZHOU Stand P-1.L1 Presented by TIAA Henderson Real Estate As investment advisor to joint venture Silk Road Holdings, TIAA Henderson Real Estate has helped the team secure further development sites following the initial acquisition of Florentia Village Jingjin in 2011. Florentia Village Guangzhou, located in the Nanhai District of Foshan, Southern China is being developed into a 45,000-sq m designer outlet centre boasting premium Italian, international and Chinese brands. Florentia Village Guangzhou will complete in May 2015. CZECH REPUBLIC THE PRAGUE OUTLET, PRAGUE Stand P-1.F73 Presented by The Prague Outlet Set to open in 2015, the new outlet centre is strategically located next to Prague’s Václav Havel International Airport and is in close proximity of the city´s centre, which will give it unrivalled access to Prague’s tourist market. With live departure boards, up-todate flight information and check-in kiosks, will be leading the field in outlet marketing. The scheme hosts an overall retail space of 31,000 sq m, making it set to become the most important outlet centre in the Czech Republic. It will be a prime site perfect for retailers looking to expand their outlet offer in to Central Europe. The Prague Outlet will open gradually in three phases, with the first phase extending to 12,000 sq m providing space for 80 stores. During the second phase a further 50 stores will open with a floor space of 8,000 sq m. The third phase will include 40 stores with a floor space of 6,000 sq m. 8 YEARS CZECH REPUBLIC CENTRUM CHODOV, PRAGUE Stand C17 Presented by Unibail-Rodamco Located in Prague, Centrum Chodov already welcomes 13.4m visitors a year. With the new extension, Centrum Chodov will reach 93,899 sq m GLA with 284 stores and opening is scheduled for fall 2017. After the extension, the shopping centre will be an unprecedented shopping and leisure landmark with the biggest choice of shops under one roof in the Czech Republic, and the country’s largest cinema megaplex. With 1,374,900 inhabitants living within 30 minutes driving time, 16m visitors are expected per year. The new Centrum Chodov will also have a range of innovative services that match the standards of a luxury hotel. Furthermore, The Dining Experience will also be implemented, a unique concept that offers a collection of the best restaurateurs and new international food brands. There will be also the Designer Gallery, a high quality offer of premium fashion concepts. FINLAND ZSAR OUTLET VILLAGE Presented by Zsar Outlet Village Stand P-1.N61 Opening in 2016 in South-Eastern Finland just 500 meters from the Russian border, Zsar gives premium brands a unique opportunity to target the massive Russian consumer market without any of the risks of operating in Russia. The total catchment area is 8.5 million inhabitants within a 200 km radius, including the fourth largest city in Europe, St Petersburg, and the Finnish capital Helsinki. Zsar Outlet Village will be constructed in a rapidly developing holiday destination in two phases – the first 12,000 sq m will be opened in 2016, and eventually it will reach 20,000 sq m by 2018. With its 120 premium brand stores, the sales density is estimated by FSP to reach €6,700 per sq m when mature. 9 YEARS FRANCE JEU DE PAUME, BEAUVAIS Presented by Hammerson Stand R8.A9 With a GLA of 24,000 sq m, 86 shops and restaurants and 830 parking spaces, Hammerson’s new Jeu de Paume shopping centre will open its doors in Beauvais in September 2015. Blessed with exceptional accessibility, this new shopping centre lies at the heart of a region of 250,000 inhabitants. Among other brands it will welcome Carrefour Market, H&M, Sephora and Le Furet du Nord. DESIGNER OUTLET PROVENCE, MIRAMAS Presented by McArthurGlen McArthurGlen Provence is located near the town of Miramas, a 45-minute drive from Aix-en-Provence and 50 minutes from Marseille. With 25,000 sq m of GLA, the scheme will offer the most sought-after international and national names in luxury, designer and lifestyle fashion, with year-round savings of 30-70 per cent - all in a premium shopping environment, with the design and architecture reflecting the local Provencal style. Works on site are planned to begin in 2015 with an opening for 2016. 10 Stand P-1.M62 / P-1.N51 YEARS FRANCE OPEN, SAINT-GENIS-POUILLY Presented by Chapman Taylor Stand P-1.H14 ‘Open’ is a new innovative and animated place for shopping, leisure, sport, rest and work. The impressively designed landmark project has remarkable architecture and is covered by an intelligent roof which perfectly integrates into the landscape and generates spectacular views of the Alps and Jura mountains. Beyond aesthetics, the impressive cover has an environmental role by regulating the temperature, filtering the light, collecting rain water and by its photovoltaic systems, producing energy. The project is part of a HQE (High Environmental Quality) scheme to reduce this development’s impact on the environment. This zero-energy project is the first one of this kind in its category in France. BOURSE – MARSEILLE, FRANCE Presented by Klépierre Stand R8.E7 By 2015, the shopping mall situated in the very heart of the city will be totally reinvented: new façades, new attractive retailers, and new interior design. The facades, formed by large windows, will be dressed by undulating structures along the building, gracefully mimicking a movement of the sea and sails in the wind. The malls, illuminated by a huge glass dome, punctuated by rest areas with design furniture, will offer visitors a sense of fluidity, clarity and sweetness. It playfully offers a moment of relaxation and refreshment away from the buzz of the city. With an additional 5,300 sq m GLA to the current 34,000 sq m of shopping offer to house a total of 70 retailers (10 additional shops and three MSUs) on four levels, Centre Bourse will feature the exclusive Club Store concept and is joining the renaissance initiated by the city to offer a breath of fresh air to Marseille shoppers. 11 YEARS FRANCE LES PASSAGES PASTEUR, BESANÇON Stand R8.E7 Presented by Klépierre As the keystone of a project to modernise the city’s historic district, Passages Pasteur is bringing to Besançon and the Franche- Comté region the shopping mall they have been needing. Set in the middle of the city’s shopping district, Passages Pasteur will be a ma jor draw for dynamic, urban customers in search of something new. This commercial hub, community gathering place, and promenade integrated into the city will be an essential stop in any shopping trip to Besançon. With the fifth-largest hotel capacity in France, Val d’Europe is also the leading destination for conventions in the Paris area. 12 YEARS FRANCE POLYGONE RIVIERA, CAGNES-SUR-MER Stand C17 / R7.M3 Presented by Unibail-Rodamco/ Socri Unibail-Rodamco has partnered with Socri to develop Polygone Riveria, the first lifestyle mall in France. For the first time in France, a green and open-air centre will offer to visitors a real journey around art, shopping and leisure. Polygone Riveria will open to the public in autumn 2015. With a construction cost estimated at €350m, the project will create 1,500 jobs and have an environmental performance on par with the international standards of BREEAM. The design of Polygone Riviera was entrusted to a team of renowned experts including the architect José Ignacio Galán Martinez, the landscape artist Jean Mus and the artist Sacha Sosno. Polygone Riveria is located in a region with 1.1 million inhabitants, which attracts 14 million tourists each year. With 75,000 sq m of retail space, restaurants, art and culture, Polygone Riveria will allow visitors to shop for all their needs in one place. FORUM DES HALLES, PARIS Stand C17 Presented by Unibail-Rodamco The district of Les Halles has always been exceptional: located in the hyper-centre of the capital, including the biggest public transport hub in Europe, inspiring spectacular architectural projects. Le Forum des Halles is undergoing a new birth and the public opening date will be in late 2015. With 75,300 sq m of floorspace, the new Forum des Halles will offer to visitors a light and accessible place with cultural spaces, bars, restaurants and 4-star services. The Forum des Halles will become a living place for shopping. The outstanding canopy designed by Patrick Berger and Jacques Anziutti will allow natural light to flood the spaces and will create a unique atmosphere for leisure, culture and shopping. 13 YEARS FRANCE EURALILLE, LILLE Presented by Unibail-Rodamco Stand C17 Located in France’s fourth city, Euralille will see a complete transformation to become the main shopping destination in the Lille region. Unibail-Rodamco has invested €48m in a renovation to create a stronger commercial offer and the implemention of 4-star services, for an improved customer experience. The new Euralille will be inaugurated in Spring 2015. The design of the renovation was entrusted to Saguez & Partner. The renovation will be about three main ideas: light, comfort and fluidity. It is a new page of history for the biggest shopping centre in the region. Its excellent accessibility makes it already one of the main shopping destinations in the North region with 12m visitors each year. This renovation aims at confirming the attractiveness of Euralille which will enrich its commercial offer to build on the recent signings of of Hollister, Lego Store, New Yorker and Hema. BOULEVARD MACDONALD, PARIS Stand P-1.K50 Presented by Altarea Cogedim With shops lining a 600-m long stretch right in Paris over a total surface area of 30,000 sq m, the Paris Boulevard Macdonald project has what it takes to appeal to retailers and customers alike. Developed in partnership with Caisse des Dépôts, Paris Boulevard Macdonald aims to become a Parisian living space devoted to retail and entertainment. Accessible by public transport (TRAM), the site will provide in 2015 unique opportunities to attract leading retailers in large-format stores, right in Paris. 14 YEARS FRANCE CAP 3000 SAINT-LAURENT-DU-VAR Stand P-1.K50 Presented by Altarea Cogedim Located in Saint-Laurent-du-Var, just five minutes from the Nice Côte d’Azur airport (the biggest French airport after Paris) and 10 minutes away from downtown Nice (France’s fifth largest city and number one vacation destination), Cap 3000 enjoys an exceptional catchment area with more than 1 million inhabitants with the highest average basket in France. Inaugurated in October 1969, Cap 3000 is continuing the renovation process and will be set to welcome its new extension as of 2015. This pioneer of French shopping centres will reach a surface area of 100,000 sq m with more than 250 stores and restaurants. This ma jor European project, with its mixed and international offer, its restaurants with a breathtaking view onto the sea and its large choice of services, will naturally become the modern reference of shopping centres. The centre is a joint venture between TIAA Henderson Real Estate and McArthurGlen, Europe’s leading owner, developer and manager of designer outlets. With plans to open in Autumn 2015, the new phase will add 6,900 sq m of GLA, offering the opportunity to add around 25 additional stores to the centre. It will bring the total number of stores to 116, with 26,800 sq m of GLA. Leading brands at the centre include Armani, Corneliani, Escada, Hugo Boss and Michael Kors, as well as Baldinini, Marc Cain, Nike and Pollini. OSNABRÜCK ARCADEN, OSNABRÜCK Stand C17 Presented by Unibail-Rodamco and PW Real Estate funds Osnabrück Arcaden is an ambitious asset in development in Germany. It is a brand new format that aims to promote the value of craftsmanship and of the Italian design of the brands housed inside, along with the celebration of the Italian spirit. With its 30 brands the outlet will provide a selection of brands at very competitive prices. WESTFIELD MILAN Presented by Westfield Stand R8.D7 Developed by Westfield and Arcus Real Estate, the 175,000-sq m Westfield Milan development will feature over 300 stores; a luxury village; cinemas; leisure; entertainment; 50 restaurants; parking for 10,000 cars; the latest in digital technology and signature shopping and tourism services. Westfield Milan has a compelling catchment with a market potential of €4.9bn and a population of over 7 million people. Milan has one of the highest per capita retail spend in Europe however has a ma jor under-supply of shopping centres. Westfield Milan will therefore create a significant opportunity for international and Italian retailers to capture spend in a key global shopping destination and it is anticipated that it will deliver sales in excess of €1bn. 17 YEARS MOROCCO ZENATA SHOPPING CENTRE, CASABLANCA Stand R7.E27 Presented by Sonae Sierra Zenata shopping centre is a €100m investment located by Sonae Sierra in a partnership with Marjane, Al Futtaim and Société d’Amenagement de Zenata (Groupe CDG). Zenata shopping centre will have a GLA of 90,000 sq m with 250 shops served by 3,650 parking spaces. The centre will have 18 anchor shops, including Ikea and Marjane hypermarket. Adjacent to A3 Rabat to Casablanca highway, the shopping centre will serve a catchment of over 5.9m inhabitants. The first phase will open in 2015, with the opening of the first Ikea store in Morocco, and then the second phase comprising the shopping centre will open in 2017. THE NETHERLANDS THE SPRING, LEIDSCHENDAM-VOOBURG Stand C17 Presented by Unibail-Rodamco Formerly called Leidsenhage, the Spring will see a €200m extension/ renovation taking it from 75,000 to 100,000 sq m of GLA including 230 stores, restaurants and leisure. The inauguration is scheduled for 2017. Located in the economic heart of the Netherlands, with 2.4m inhabitants living within 30 minutes, the centre already welcomes 8m visitors per year and this expected to grow to 12m after the extension is complete. The opening of the project is scheduled for Autumn 2017. Thanks to its innovative design, this new shopping centre will be a new landmark on the architectural map of Wroclaw. The developer expects a strong and diversified fashion, sports & electronic offer with H&M, LPP Group’s Reserved, House, Cropp, Home & You, Mohito and Sinsay brands already committed. And strong public transport links mean a primary catchment of more than half a million inhabitants within a 10-minute drive-time. 21 YEARS RUSSIA YAROSLAVSKOE SHOSSE, MOSCOW Stand P-1.H16 / P-1.J15 Presented by Essence Development The Yaroslavskoe Shosse centre is conveniently located 4.7 km from Moscow Ring Road close to the suburbs of Korolev and Mytishi. The 88,000-sq m GLA centre will cater to one of the largest catchments in the North-Eastern Moscow Region. The aim of the project is to create a unique space that combines the food court’s cafés and restaurants with the mall’s recreational area. Restaurant space will be divided into separate segments for fast food, and longer “destination” dining concepts. A new unique design will create a central piazza within the food court, which will be the mall’s main meeting and relaxation point. The changes will see MEGA Teply Stan’s food court area almost double in size, creating opportunities for both existing and potential restaurant tenants. In addition, after its extension, the mall’s total GLA is set to increase in size to a total of 195 000 sq m, providing a new modern space for retailers across all sectors. RIVIERA SHOPPING & ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE, MOSCOW Stand P-1.F61 Presented by Praktika Development Opening in Q4 2015, the 97 000-sq m Riviera is situated on Moscow’s 3rd Ring-road ring, giving it access to more than 3.7 million people within a 30 minute radius. Footfall is expected to reach 55,000 visitors per day. The three-floor scheme will house more than 300 shops, cafes and restaurants with underground parking for 3,000 cars. In addition there will be a multiplex cinema and kids’ entertainment centre. 23 YEARS RUSSIA NAGATINSKAYA POYMA PARK, MOSCOW Stand R7.L15 Presented by Regions Group Located in Moscow’s Southern Administrative District, Nagatinskaya Poyma park will be a mixed-use complex featuring a year-round DreamWorks theme amusement park, a concert hall, a yacht school, a themed retail area, movie halls, cafes and restaurants, as well as a landscape park. The outdoor area will feature a Ferris wheel offering panoramic views of the Moskva River. SINGAPORE TANJONG PAGAR CENTRE Presented by JLL Tanjong Pagar Centre is a large-scale integrated development in Singapore designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and developed by GuocoLand. The large-scale mixed-use project will contain 150,000 sq m of Grade-A offices, prestigious residential apartments, a luxury business hotel, 9,200 sq m of premier retail space and a sheltered event space in Tanjong Pagar City Park, and will position the area as a premier quality business and lifestyle hub within Singapore’s Central Business District. With a stunning new atrium roof, the reinvigorated Grand Central shopping centre will provide modern retail space and an array of restaurants and cafes. This is part of a wider project to transform Birmingham New Street Station The extension is anchored by a new 23,000-sq m John Lewis department store, sited to the south of The Pallasades. This significant additional retail, along with other proposals for reconfiguring some lower retail level and concourse level retail units, refurbishing the interior mall finishes, modernising the public toilet and baby change facility and refurbishing the multi-storey car park will create a step change to the centre that is vital to its future as a modern retail destination. The project is now progressing and will open in September 2015. VICTORIA GATE, LEEDS Presented by Hammerson Construction of the £150m Victoria Gate retail development is underway, and on completion in Autumn 2016 it will be anchored by a 24,000-sq m John Lewis department store, one of the largest outside London. The development will feature a 21st century-inspired retail arcade, which builds on the city’s arcade history, featuring up to 30 stores, restaurants, cafes, a casino and multi-storey car park for up to 800 cars.
