The Oswego Chamber of Commerce is also hosting a 50/50 Raffle for $5 each, proceeds will also benefit the Kendall County Food Pantry. Winner will be announced on December 13th. Ice Carving Demonstrations by Chicago Ice Works - 6-9 p.m. Visit The Marmalde Tree for the new Oswego Ornament, this is the first in a series of birds. The 2013 ornament is an Owl. Brownie Troop #4973 will host a bake sale fundraiser. Brownie Troop #4942 will be caroling along Main Street. "Wishing you a season full of sweetness", stop by the Mutual Ground Awareness booth to pick up your sweet treat! Big Life Community Church will offer live Christmas music, face painting for a small cost and crafts for the little ones. Chocolate covered bacon and other Christmas treat novelties for sale and INK180 will be passing out informtation. Stop by the Harvest Baptist Church to learn about their programs and services. Visit Rivers Edge Church to learn about their Christmas Meals program and more. Oswego Outlaws Girls Travel Softball team will be selling Christmas Rainbow Loom bracelets and a 50/50 raffle. 14U-JZ Oswego Outlaws will be selling homemade treats and other items to fundraise for the team. Oswego Outlaws 16U will host a bake sale and sell water bottles. Dominion Martial Arts will be giving away free, two-week trial memberships and performing board breaking challenges for kids. FLASH Martial Arts’ demo team will showcase their skills and techniques. Merchandise and gift certificates will also be available for purchase. Stop by our tent for demos and more information about our classes. Chiro One will be offering complimentary wellness assessments, posture analysis, and education to those that are interested. SnapHot will offer hand warmers and neck and back heading pads that are reusable. Visit the Verizon Wireless display to find great gifts under $100 and enter to win a new smartphone. Stop by the Adventures in Learning booth for Christmas face painting and a Christmas craft. Junior Girl Scout Troop #4532 will be selling clock themed cookies and ornaments to help raise funds for a tower clock for Downtown Oswego. Come play the "Flush Out Crime" game with the Friends of Jeff Christiansen for Kendall County Sheriff and enter to win a Turkey in our raffle! Stop by the Celebrate Differences Disability Awareness Center booth for a photo opportunity with everyone's favorite yellow sponge and help us "Spread the Word to End the Word!" V.I.P Service Dog Foundation will offer christmas toys for the dogs, face painting, and a raffle for Chicago Blackhawks tickets. Sing Christmas Carols with the Wheatland Salem Church, do karaoke, and have a chance to win a filled Christmas stocking. Donate a toy valued at $10-$20 for preschool students & receive a chance to win a handmade Clydesdale Rocking Horse. Visit the Oswego Junior Woman’s Club booth with your kids and make a personalized holiday-themed craft project. Stop by to visit with Friends of Dwight Baird for Kendall County Sheriff, Proven Professional Experience and Leadership Washington Street Visit the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church (4:30-7:30PM.) for bowl of chili, pie and see the beautiful nativity displays in the sanctuary. The Model Train of Hope will also be on display. Proceeds will benefit the United Methodist Women's missions. Washington Street Breakfast with Santa hosted by the Rotary Club of Oswego, Oswego YMCA, Oswegoland Senior Center, and Fox River Academy of Music and Art. Tickets are $5 each and include breakfast, pictures with Santa, children’s games, crafts and a cake walk. Coats for Kendall Collection - bring coats, hats, mittens, and gloves. For tickets, call 630-551-0797. 9:30 - 3:30 p.m. - Old Fire Station #1 Holiday Country Market - Enjoy many of your favorite vendors from the Oswego Country Market, hosted by the Oswegoland Park District. 10:00 - 1:00 p.m. - Downtown Oswego Cookie Walk throughout downtown Oswego, tins are limited, get them early! 11 - 3:00 p.m. - Culver’s Oswego in Mason Square Culvers will celebrate their 10 year anniversary with the same traditional Mr. and Mrs. Claus from 11a.m. - 3p.m., Thompson Jr High Choir signing Christmas carols from 11am -1 pm, Donations will be collected and all of the money raised is used to buy gifts for needy families and distribute by Mr. and Mrs. Claus. 6:30 p.m. - Oswego Family YMCA, 160 E. Washington Street, Oswego YMCA Holiday Showcase - The Oswego YMCA presents a Holiday Showcase Concert feauturing holiday music and dance from Dance with Flair, Fox River Academy of Music and Art and other local organizations. This conecrt is free and open to the public. Sunday, December 8th 9:00 a.m. - Oswego Family YMCA 5th Annual Jingle Bell Jog - 5K Fun Run/1-Mile Family Fun Walk or Sprint (see details on page 7) 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. - Oswego Village Hall, 100 Parkers Mill, Oswego Village of Oswego Holiday House Walk - tour four beautifully decorated homes throughout Oswego. The day begins at the Oswego Village Hall for a light supper catered by the Village Grind followed by a bused tour of the homes. Tickets are limited and are $25 each; proceeds benefit the Kendall County Food Pantry. Tickets are available at the Oswego Village Hall or The Marmalade Tree.
