CASE 1 - SKIN TEAR ON SHIN
Young male sustained a deep skin tear from concrete reinforcing. The top
flap of skin had died because the blood supply to it had been disrupted.
MEDIHONEY® ANTIBACTERIAL WOUND GEL™ was applied to a dressing
pad and changed daily. The WOUND GEL™ prevented infection, cleaned
and debrided the wound and promoted wound healing.

CASE 2 - LACERATION ON PALM
37 year old male with chainsaw laceration to right hand MEDIHONEY®
ANTIBACTERIAL WOUND GEL™ was applied to the cut and covered with an
adhesive dressing pad. The dressing was changed daily. The wound healed
rapidly with no infection.

CASE 3 - CUT ON TOE
Laceration to 2nd toe. Dirt embedded in wound and unable to be
removed by bathing. MEDIHONEY® ANTIBACTERIAL WOUND GEL™ was
applied daily on a plaster. The osmotic potential of honey drew the dirt
out of the wound into the plaster pad. The wound was clean the next
day and healed rapidly. MEDIHONEY® DERMA CREAM was applied to
the healed skin to restore the skin barrier function.

CASE 4 - CRACKED HEEL
Painful crack on right heel causing difficulty walking. MEDIHONEY®
ANTIBACTERIAL WOUND GEL™ was applied to the crack and covered with
a plaster. The dressing was reapplied daily. After 2 days the wound was
no longer painful and the young man was able to walk normally. WOUND
GEL™ was continued for 5 days until the crack in the skin had healed.
MEDIHONEY® DERMA CREAM was then applied to moisturise and
protect the skin from further breakdown.

CASE 5 - LACERATION FOOT
8 year old boy cut his foot on a stick. The wound was not cleaned or
covered and became infected. The skin around the wound was hot,
painful, red and swollen. The infection was tracking up the foot as
indicated by the red line that has been drawn around in pen to determine
if the infection is getting worse or better. The loose flap of skin was
removed and MEDIHONEY® ANTIBACTERIAL WOUND GEL™ was applied
on a dressing pad. The dressing was changed daily. After 24 hours there
was no sign of the infection going up the foot and the pain had gone. The
wound healed rapidly.

CASE 6 - GRAZE
4 year old girl with graze to right knee from falling over on a driveway.
MEDIHONEY® ANTIBACTERIAL WOUND GEL™ was applied on a dressing
pad and changed daily after a bath. The gravel and dirt were drawn into
the dressing pad by the cleansing action of the honey and the wound
healed rapidly.

CASE 7 - INFECTED ECZEMA
4 year old boy with infected eczema in left elbow crease. MEDIHONEY®
ANTIBACTERIAL WOUND GEL™ was applied to a dressing pad and
changed daily. After 4 days the inflammation had significantly reduced
and the wounds healed. MEDIHONEY® DERMA CREAM was then applied
to the skin to help restore the skin that was prone to eczema.

38 year old male with abrasion to big toe from running on a wet, rough
