“Extremities” EVVYS Scenic Design Submission Jody Steel and Nash Hightower Extremities presented us with the challenge of taking a perfectly ordinary location and giving it qualities that not only represent the characters, but also lends itself to complicated fight choreography and the intimacy of seating an audience in the three quarter round. Additional Description: The Scenic Design in Extremities gave the characters a safe way to execute choreography, while still maintaining all the elements of the original design. The topic of rape is personal, it's scary, and it's not a topic that many people are comfortable confronting. Humanizing and creating a feminine and warm environment not only portrayed the three women that lived there, but it gave the audience a place to feel safe.
