A.A.G. Stucchi: The Power of Transparency A note from Peter Killingsworth Green is the clear choice Lighting Australia is pleased to introduce the latest advances in lampholder design from A.A.G. Stucchi. Renowned worldwide for lampholder quality and innovation, A.A.G. Stucchi has released the new 3000 Series G13 lampholders featuring transparent polycarbonate and two part construction. The benefits of the 3000 Series and the adoption of transparent polycarbonate across the wider G13 and G5 lampholder range, places A.A.G. Stucchi at the forefront of lampholder development in terms of innovation and environmental responsibility. The signature A.A.G. Stucchi green lampholder rotor now associated with transparent polycarbonate heralds a new generation of smarter, more efficient lighting components and makes green the clear choice for progressive luminaire design and manufacture. Peter Killingsworth Managing Director Lighting Australia A.A.G. Stucchi’s Smart Choice Founded in 1944, A.A.G. Stucchi is an Italianbased company specialising in the design and manufacture of quality lighting components. In April 2010 at the Frankfurt Light + Building exhibition, A.A.G. Stucchi presented its “glance to the future” and Smart Choice principles, making clear a focus on customers and partners through service, collaboration and innovation, and a long term commitment to positive environmental responses. “Thanks to the sharing of our knowledge with our customers we grow together. This is our glance to the future” Smart Choice Principles • • • • We offer personalized services and assistance We care for the environment by reducing polluting components We share our innovation, creating common value We commit to a clear approach with our partners Transparency: A Clear Winner A first step in A.A.G. Stucchi’s application of its Smart Choice principles is the introduction of a transparent TR range of linear fluorescent lampholders. Updating the current G5 and G13 series, the TR lampholders will be produced from transparent polycarbonate and feature a number of important and immediate benefits; for the environment, for production, for lighting efficiency, for quality control, for ease of wiring. A.A.G. Stucchi brings modern aesthetics to product design previously considered exclusively technical. - Stefano Masetto A.A.G. Production Quite simply - no additives means reduced production costs. Lighting Efficiency The transparency of the component has been carefully designed to reduce black spots with benefit to lighting efficiency. Quality Control The transparent material enables easy checking of the quality of the moulding, the finishing and the presence and status of internal metallic components. Design The transparent design immediately gives the products a clean, contemporary look setting a new and positive trend. Wiring Using transparent polycarbonate allows easy and correct insertion of the wire into the push-wire terminals, avoiding potentially destructive tests during the wiring process. Automatic Wiring Automatic wiring machines can be set-up with ease. Clearly seeing the correct wire insertion assists the production performance. New 3000 Series: Taking it to the Next Level A.A.G. Stucchi shows the way forward with the new 3000 G13 Series. Featuring all the benefits of the G13 and G5 TR transparent range, the 3000 G13 Series takes the innovation one step further. The efficiency of fully automated lampholder production is optimised by the 2-part design. The guarantee of excellent quality is achieved across high production volumes. TR transparent polycarbonate is used in the new 3000 Series G13 lampholders, and begins to replace white polycarbonate in existing G5 lampholders from early 2011. White polycarbonate used in current G5 lampholders will be progressively phased out and replaced by TR transparent polycarbonate. The TR version lampholders will be exactly the same as existing, simply without the white polycarbonate additive. You can easily identify the replacement product by the ‘TR’ suffix to the part number. The option of current G5 lampholders and new 3000 Series G13 lampholders moulded from white high temperature resistant PBT material will also be offered for thermally critical applications or where a strong ability to withstand chemical substances is needed. New 3000 Series Available Early 2011 The new 3000 series will be available for order from early 2011 and can be easily identified by the ‘3000’ part number series. The part numbers of current products and corresponding TR and new 3000 replacement products, can be found in the table at the back of this brochure.
