President’s View
It is hard to believe but 2012 is quickly coming to an end. I would like to thank
everyone who helped out this year to make all our functions a great success. More
members and non-members are finding the time to come to the Club. The Club is not
just for dances. The table tennis, snooker and card players holding their weekly activity
at the Club are always looking for more people to participate. The Alpenrösl Dancers
have their dance practice at the Club Monday evenings and the Country Line Dance
hold their Dances twice a month Friday evenings. So the Club’s facilities are being
used extensively. Now our attention centers on the very busy 2 months. The Ladies
Auxiliary is holding their wonderful Christmas Bazaar shortly. Also our Christmas
Dinner Dance and The Christmas Show from Germany is not far away. Finally we end
the year with the New Year’s Eve Dance in about 7 weeks. Mark your Calendar for our
Semi Annual Membership Meeting on November 25th. There are several Board
positions that are required to be filled at the February’s election. It has been a pleasure
to see more younger people starting to attend our events and hopefully some will also
find the spirit to help in keeping the culture alive. I would like to take this opportunity
to wish all members, their family and friends on behalf of the Board of Directors a very
Merry Christmas and a Healthy and Prosperous New Year. Here’s hoping to see you at
one of our many scheduled Functions in 2013.
