Accommodation
Passenger comfort is a high priority on Spirit of Tasmania and when you travel on
board, you know that your group will have a comfortable and relaxed night’s sleep.
Spirit of Tasmania boasts a range of accommodation options, one of which is sure to
suit your needs and budget. Both Spirit of Tasmania I and II have 222 cabins all with
private bathroom facilities, adjustable air-conditioning and a 230-volt socket. Cabin and
deck numbers are not finalised until the day of sailing.
Deluxe Cabins
Sail in comfort in one of our eight luxurious Deluxe
Cabins. The cabins are suitable for two adults and
boast two large porthole windows to see the superb
views ahead.

Twin Cabins
Twin Cabins offer two single beds with a private

Four Berth Cabins
Four Berth Cabins allow several people to travel
together in the same cabin. The cabins are suitable for
three to four passengers with its comfortable bunk bed

Ocean View Recliners (only on selected sailings)
Ocean View Recliners are a great option for the budget
conscious offering low cost, yet comfortable, reclining
chairs. Located in a private lounge only accessible by
key card, Ocean View Recliners feature individual
reading lights and large floor-to-ceiling windows.

Day Tickets
Day Tickets are only available on day sailings. This type
of fare has no seat allocation. There is a generous
amount of public seating available throughout the ship.

Infants travel free of charge providing they are not occupying a bed. Cots are limited
so enquire at time of booking for availability.

Meals are available for you to purchase throughout the
journey and you can choose from two dining styles.
Seasons restaurant
If you’re looking for a special night to remember and a
fantastic meal, dine at the Seasons a la carte
restaurant. Treat your tastebuds to fine Tasmanian
produce in its elegant, yet friendly, surrounds.
Waves eatery
Select from a variety of reasonably priced hot and cold
savoury dishes and continental breakfast items in our
self-service eatery, Waves. Group bookings are able
to pre-purchase meals from Waves eatery for $19.50
per person, which includes a buffet plate, dessert and
drink.
Breakfast on arrival
An option you might like to consider for your travel group is a sumptuous breakfast to
kick-start their big day. Stop by The Edgewater located adjacent to the Spirit of
Tasmania terminal in Devonport for their Big Breakfast special. To book, call The

Entertainment
Children's playroom
All aboard for loads of fun in Pirate Pete’s, our room for
the littlies. Guardian supervision is required.
On board shop
Forgot something? Not a problem – our on board shop, Tasmania At Sea, stocks
newspapers, magazines, gifts and anything else you may have left behind. There is a
beautiful range of Tasmanian souvenirs and products. National park passes and
smartcards can also be purchased.

Games arcade
Have fun with the whole family playing arcade-style coin
operated games in the Galactica games room. Guardian
supervision is required.

drink at the Deck 9 Bar Kiosk.

Complimentary movies are screened during day sailings
and most night sailings.

General information
Credit card, internet and telephone access
• There are automatic teller machines on board the ships but these are only
functional whilst in port. All major credit cards are accepted on board and in the
terminals.
• Broadband access up to 7.2 Mbps is available from the Internet Kiosk on Deck
7.
• A payphone is available throughout the journey. Passengers with NextG mobile
phones will receive uninterrupted coverage during the voyage.
Luggage
To ensure a smooth and pleasant embarkation for group passengers, we would
recommend that passengers carry only an overnight bag on board. All other luggage
may be left on either the luggage trolley for carriage on the freight deck or left in the
vehicle accompanying the group. Passengers are advised that all luggage including
overnight bags will be subject to security inspection at check-in. Please note,
responsibility cannot be taken for the security of items. There are no on-site lockers at
either terminal and porters are not available.
First aid
The ships have a limited first aid facility on board. A medical attendant is available for
minor complaints and injuries. Passengers must ensure they carry their own personal
medication and oxygen if required. A pharmaceutical service is not available on board.
Advice regarding particular medical needs must be made at the time of reservation
with final approval of travel remaining the perogative of Spirit of Tasmania.
Dress standards
The accepted minimum dress standard for passengers is a t-shirt, shorts and footwear.
If a passenger’s dress standard does not meet this basic requirement, they will be
asked to change or they may be refused passage.

Checking in
Passengers without vehicles
Check-in commences 90 minutes prior to departure. To ensure your sailing leaves on
time you must check-in at least 1 hour prior to your scheduled departure time to allow
completion of check-in and security procedures. The group leader must proceed to the
check-in counter to collect all tickets, boarding passes and cabin keys. Boarding is via
the terminal walkway situated on the first floor of the terminal building in Melbourne
and to the right of the terminal building in Devonport.
Coach accompanying passengers
Check-in commences 90 minutes prior to departure. To ensure your sailing leaves on
time you must check-in at least 1 hour prior to your scheduled departure time to allow
completion of check-in and security procedures. Upon arrival at the terminal, your
group leader should proceed to the check-in counter to collect all tickets, boarding
passes and cabin keys. Boarding passes and cabin keys must be distributed to the
group prior to embarkation. Passengers must board via the walkway while coach driver
reports to the freight holding bay for the coach loading.
Passengers with vehicles
