Waves eatery Select from a variety of reasonably priced hot and cold savoury dishes and continental breakfast items in our self-service eatery, Waves. Group bookings are able to pre-purchase meals from Waves eatery for $19.50 per person, which includes a buffet plate, dessert and drink. Breakfast on arrival An option you might like to consider for your travel group is a sumptuous breakfast to kick-start their big day. General information Credit card, internet and telephone access • There are automatic teller machines on board the ships but these are only functional whilst in port. All major credit cards are accepted on board and in the terminals. • Broadband access up to 7.2 Mbps is available from the Internet Kiosk on Deck 7. • A payphone is available throughout the journey. Passengers with NextG mobile phones will receive uninterrupted coverage during the voyage. Luggage To ensure a smooth and pleasant embarkation for group passengers, we would recommend that passengers carry only an overnight bag on board. All other luggage may be left on either the luggage trolley for carriage on the freight deck or left in the vehicle accompanying the group. Passengers are advised that all luggage including overnight bags will be subject to security inspection at check-in. Please note, responsibility cannot be taken for the security of items. There are no on-site lockers at either terminal and porters are not available. First aid The ships have a limited first aid facility on board. A medical attendant is available for minor complaints and injuries. Passengers must ensure they carry their own personal medication and oxygen if required. A pharmaceutical service is not available on board. Advice regarding particular medical needs must be made at the time of reservation with final approval of travel remaining the perogative of Spirit of Tasmania. Dress standards The accepted minimum dress standard for passengers is a t-shirt, shorts and footwear. If a passenger’s dress standard does not meet this basic requirement, they will be asked to change or they may be refused passage. Booking procedure To book, simply call our Special Events department on 1800 204 687 and check availability for your group’s requirements. All booking requests must be received in writing by faxing 1800 636 110 or by emailing special.events@spiritoftasmania.com.au. Checking in Passengers without vehicles Check-in commences 90 minutes prior to departure. To ensure your sailing leaves on time you must check-in at least 1 hour prior to your scheduled departure time to allow completion of check-in and security procedures. The group leader must proceed to the check-in counter to collect all tickets, boarding passes and cabin keys. Boarding is via the terminal walkway situated on the first floor of the terminal building in Melbourne and to the right of the terminal building in Devonport. Coach accompanying passengers Check-in commences 90 minutes prior to departure. To ensure your sailing leaves on time you must check-in at least 1 hour prior to your scheduled departure time to allow completion of check-in and security procedures. Upon arrival at the terminal, your group leader should proceed to the check-in counter to collect all tickets, boarding passes and cabin keys. Boarding passes and cabin keys must be distributed to the group prior to embarkation. Passengers must board via the walkway while coach driver reports to the freight holding bay for the coach loading. Passengers with vehicles Check-in commences 90 minutes prior to departure. To ensure your sailing leaves on time you must check-in at least 1 hour prior to your scheduled departure time to allow completion of check-in and security procedures. Boarding passes and cabin keys are available for collection from the vehicle booth. All passengers can remain in the vehicle and board via the vehicle deck.
