The company was founded in 2001 in Saint-Petersburg and became the first company in content-providing industry. The services of the Company were commercially launched in September 2001. The headquarters of the Company is in St. Petersburg. The Company has representative office in Moscow; in 2004 INFON representation was opened in Ukraine (Kiev). In 2006 INFON established representation in Kazakhstan. The core business of the Company is development and distribution of infotainment services for GSM and CDMA subscribers. For the 6 years on the market INFON developed and successfully fulfilled a range of nation-wide projects. 3 Market position According to the reports of the leading Russian analytical companies, the Russian mobile content market grew by 25% for 2006 and accounted for 408 MUSD. The forecasts for 2007 contain estimations at the level of 494 MUSD, which corresponds to the growth by 21%. For the time being INFON holds the leading position on the Russian mobile content market, which is proved by the numerous diplomas and awards. According to analytical company ComNews Research INFON is ranked first on the mobile content market as of 9 months of 2006. INFON is traditionally among the leaders in the ratings of the Russian major mobile operators («MegaFon», «МТS», «Beeline»). MegaFon. The services of the Company are available for more than 120 million subscribers in Russia. Starting 2004 INFON is engaged in geographical expansion to the CIS markets. Currently the services of the company are accessible by 40 million subscribers in Ukraine and over 7 million subscribers in Kazakhstan. Besides, the services are available to subscribers in Belarus, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kirgizstan, Estonia and Latvia. 5 Portfolio INFON is the expert in the mobile content industry; INFON has its own content production department; INFON means exclusive and most popular in-house developed content. INFON distributes content according to the license agreements with the agencies on copyrights protection in compliance with the applicable legislation in force. Currently license agreements are signed with the major right owners and music publishing houses in Russia and CIS countries. INFON is the leader in the volumes of content updates. Every week INFON database is enlarged by 150 new content items. 6 Projects: TV Deep expertise and unique technical solutions allows the Company to develop and implement unrivaled projects on the Russian mobile content market. INFON is the first partner for interactive services for the State Television Company «Russia TV channel». INFON provided complex SMS, IVR and WAP support in popular projects. INFON is the partner to the Russian leading information and entertainments TV channels. Company’s portfolio has over 150 TV projects launched on over 50 federal, regional and satellite channels. 7 Projects: Wap INFON developed a unique partnership program for WAP sites. This program is now available and operating in 8 countries, the coverage is constantly extended. Since the start of the program over 200 partners has already joined. Subscribers of 105 mobile operators from 22 countries took part in the primaries with the use of mobile technologies. Totally, we processed votes of 108040 people. The main aim of the B2G sector in INFON is the development of new promising models for the interaction of the State and citizens with the help of mobile technologies. Launch and support of the official site WAP.TELE2.RU enabling WAP Click technology (cooperation till 1 April 2007); Development and implementation of the Russian version of the portal for TELE2 Latvia. Cooperation with the leading telecom company LG Electronics on the provision of content to the branded resources of the vendor. 12 Projects: Mobile marketing & B2B INFON has a wide network of partners among which are the biggest FMCG brands, retail chains, content providers, internet providers and Mass Media. INFON cooperates with major Internet providers on the development of this type of services. 13 Re-branding In December 2006 «Mobicon» declared the start of re-branding campaign. 14 Re-branding The main changes under re-branding campaign involved the modifications in the logo, the main advertising vehicle, redesign of the WEB and WAP sites. After 5 years on the market INFON decided to change its style in order to be in line with the new trends and better meet demands and expectations of mobile content users. The concept of rebranding implied the focus on mobile content customers, which is to correspond to their style and way of life. Games Images Operators On 1 September 2007 started an unrivalled action for MegaFon subscribers. This is a unique project for the Russian mobile content market. For 100 days (from 1 September to 10 December 2007 inclusive) one Mercedes Benz is drawn daily among Megafon subscribers. INFON organized the project. It is implemented on the base of LaNetro Zed technical platform. The rights to use the platform in Russia are formalized in the agreement on the technical support between INFON and LaNetro Zed. LaNetro Zed successfully conducted the same lotteries (with the prizes including cars and apartments) in mobile networks in different countries, among which is Vodafone Italy for instance. Operators Community Zed has developed the world's first web 2.0-based platform integrating mobile and web services.
