INTELLIGENT MOTION
MagneMotion has developed a state-of-the-art
control system with a scalable distributed architecture
that can safely and efficiently manage many vehicles
on a common network of guideway. Key features
include automatic routing, freeing the programmer
to focus on the application; distributed control, for
exceptional scalability; and a flexible interface. In the
event of any single component failure or a total loss
of system power, operators can bring the vehicles to
a safe and controlled stop, know their exact position,
and recover in an automated fashion.
The control system propels and controls each vehicle
independently when embedded sensors within each
motor detect the magnet array mounted to the
vehicle. A single command can move a vehicle to
its final destination. While in-transit, vehicle permissions are requested and granted in milliseconds,
leading to smooth and continuous movement on an
unobstructed path. The control system regulates the
velocity and acceleration of the vehicles based on
the limits specified by the user defined move profile
and system configuration.

MagneMotion’s intelligent conveyor system is commanded by a
PC, IPC or PLC known as the “Host.” Supported PLC’s include
Allen Bradley and Mitsubishi. MagneMotion’s Host interface
supplies all of the information necessary to start, run, and monitor
status during operation. Additionally, MagneMotion supplies a
reference PC Host controller and sample PLC code to allow the
user to rapidly bring up new systems and become familiar with
vehicle control and system component status.

INTELLIGENT AUTOMATION
QuickStick is based on MagenMotion’s
patented Linear Synchronous Motor (LSM)
technology. One meter and half meter long
LSM modules create an electromagnetic
force to propel payloads and vehicles through
automated assembly and processing systems.
The modules are placed end to end to create
a complete transport and positioning system
which can be integrated into existing manufacturing application or serve as a platform
for next generation assembly or process

CONTROL AND REPEATABILITY
Using embedded position sensors and control software, the QuickStick motors propel
and control each carrier independently by
interacting with a permanent magnet array
mounted to the carrier. Permissions are

The QuickStick HT is designed to provide
fast, precise transport for heavy loads up to
thousands of kilograms. This robust motor is
based on MagneMotion’s patented Linear
Synchronous Motor (LSM) technology.

force which propels payloads and vehicles
