s e r u t n e V e t Vet s of the Bay Car Club te et rv Co e th of r te et sl The New NOVEMBER 2014 MAILING ADDRESS: Corvettes of the Bay P.O. Box 13122 Green Bay, WI 54307-3122 WEBSITE: www.corvettesofthebay.org MEETINGS: First Tuesday of the Month 8:00pm Wally’s Spot Supper Club NEXT MEETING: January 6, 2014 8:00pm CLUB MEMBERS, I would like to start this letter wishing all of our members a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Just think...after the New Year rolls in then only a few more months until Corvette season is back in full swing again. As you all know this is my last year as club President. The last 3 years as President have been nothing short of excellent. With all the great members we have and everyone getting involved in one way or another, it is great to see the membership active, like one big happy family. I will be staying on as a Board member for the next year, but I am sure Justin Bauer will do a great job as our new President. Thank you for making my position as President so easy and enjoyable and please welcome Justin with the same involvement and dedication to the club. With Christmas season upon us, there is a chance to ring the bell for Salvation Army Red Kettle with Ed, then the Jorn’s Z06 sneak peak dinner run, followed by our Christmas party in January. With all the busy body commotion during the Holidays, please don’t forget to send in your club membership renewal. If you don’t renew by January 1st, your membership will lapse. This Holiday season take the time to relax and enjoy family and friends or even reach out to an old friend or make some new friends. Show your kindness in your own special way. Make someone else have a great day by doing that little extra giving. See everyone at the Christmas Party if not before. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Thank you all again for the great 3 years, Mike Cropsey President, Corvettes of the Bay, 2012-2014 - Page 1 - IN THIS ISSUE! ORGANIZED EVENTS Our runs and rallies are always well planned, enjoyable and affordable! CHARITY AND GIVING The club has a long standing tradition of helping our community. GIVE BLOOD! We belong to the Brown County Area Car Clubs “One-AWeek” Club. Please donate blood as often as you can. Appointments: Blood Donor Center 2131 Deckner Ave. Green Bay (800)GIVE-LIFE redcrossblood.org Bylaw Amendment for 2015 It has been discussed and motioned to add Board Member positions to the club based on total membership count. Membership counts of 1 to 150 would have 3 board members minimum, then one board member added per 50 members after 150 membership count. EXAMPLES: 178 members would be 3 board members plus 1 to equal 4. 210 members would be the original 3 board members minimum plus 2 to equal 5. This count would be taken the month before general club elections and posted for needed positions on ballot at election to meet the required amount of board members. Board member position count could change year to year, and will remain a yearly position, with a maximum of 2 consecutive years to serve if reelected. In addition to the added board members we will be adding a “member-at-large” position to act as a voting tie-breaker and to be more involved in membership committees. This motion will be voted on at the next club meeting on January 6, 2015. Please make sure and attend to make your vote count!
