Connection Guide - Trading Software
Introduction Please be informed that this Connection Guide works for all accounts related to CQG (e.g. Optimus) To use AgenaTrader the following two points are essential: 1. The connection to a broker. 2. The connection to a datafeed provider. In this case CQG places both at your disposal. Please Note! CQG only offers a small amount of data histories it is recommended to use a separate datafeed provider (e.g. TeleTrader / IQFeed / Barchart). Reference software INFO: Please note, the reference software of the broker, in this case QTrader, is a necessary control platform, if you use LIVE ACCOUNTS. IMPORTANT: Dual Login is not possible! You cannot use the CQG account with AgenaTrader and QTrader simultaneously. If you want to control your AgenaTrader trades within Q Trader, you have to disconnect the CQG connection of AgenaTrader first. Important information concerning the reference software We strongly recommend to crosscheck every placed order with the reference software. This crosschecking is important for the following reasons: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. General control Ensuring that placed orders are indeed at the broker.
