The city’s oldest park covers 200 hectares – and offers plenty of space for a relaxing stroll, a trip in a rowing boat, or even just lazing in the sun. Originally built in 1956/57 as a premiere cinema by the architects Paul Schwebes, Hans Schoszberger, and Gerhard Fritsche for the Berlin Film Festival, the Zoo Palast was re-inaugurated in 2013. The cinema is a cubic structure on a trapezoidal floor plan, covered in pale yellow ceramic tiles.
