Welcome
WELCOME GOLFERS!
Dear Friends and Associates of the B.C.P.M.A.
We would like to welcome everyone to the B.C. Produce Marketing Association Annual
Spring Golf Tournament. The success of this event is due to the great efforts of our
sponsors, participants, volunteers and the organizing committee.
We have a raffle with incredible prizes with proceeds given to the Children’s Hospital
Childrun. Your continued support through the years are again much appreciated.
Thank you
We hope that you will enjoy all that this Tournament has to offer and look forward to
your return on September 14th at Hazelmere Golf & Country Club.
Sincerely,
Greg Holmes

BC FRESH
Welcome to the 2011 BCPMA annual spring golf tournament here at Northview Golf and Country Club. I hope you all enjoy
the day of golf, prizes and food. I would like to pay a special thanks to those who travel a distance to attend this event and to
our sponsors. Every year seems to be a great success as we achieve excellent fundraising for Children’s Hospital and at the
same time we get to connect with people in our industry that we may not have the chance to see very often over the year.
As the Golf Tournament Chairman my main task is to try and ensure good weather and good times, so I will be doing my
best to achieve these tasks for everyone this year again. Have fun and good luck.

Champions from the ground up!
It’s almost that time again.... the countdown is on to the very first potato of the
2011 Canadian Harvest. Locally grown and delivered fresh from the field, BC
Fresh New Potato Nuggets will be coming to a grocery store near you June
10th! Available for a limited time only, these skinless, pink-eyed, nugget-sized
beauties are a mouth-watering and nutritious compliment to a meal. Mark your
calendars, invite your friends and hurry to stores on June 10th so you can be
the first to enjoy this delicious recipe for New Potato Nuggets with Pesto.
Ingredients
• 1 kg BCfresh New Nugget Potatoes – scrubbed, halved or quartered
• ½ cup packed fresh basil leaves
• ½ cup packed fresh parsley
• 4 whole peeled garlic cloves
• 2 tbsp pine nuts
• 60 mL sundried tomatoes and ¼ cup julienned
• ½ tsp salt
• ¼ cup olive oil
• Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Preparation
Drop the potato chunks into salted boiling water and cook until tender but not mushy. Drain. Meanwhile,
combine all remaining ingredients except Parmesan in food processor and process until well combined.
Recipe makes about 10 tbsp (150 ml) of pesto. Use desired amount to toss with the potatoes in this
recipe. Cover and refrigerate the remainder for up to 3 days for another use.
Return the drained potatoes to the hot pan in which they were cooked and add desired amount of pesto.
Toss until hot potatoes are well coated. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan if desired. Serve at once. Enjoy!
