Calamagrostis x brachytricha
Calamagrostis x brachytricha Korean Feather Reed Grass is a mid-summer bloomer with spectacular appeal. Unlike other plants of the same genera, it blooms much later when warmer temperatures arrive. Flowers begin pink to burgundy and change to white then beige. This looks good en masse or as a highlight scattered around a perennial bed. It can have a tendency to reseed so if you are looking for a more manicured landscape, this may not be for you. If you enjoy more character in your surroundings then this can be a superstar for you. Droplets of water attach themselves in the morning for dramatic landscapes like below. Size: 3’-4’ Tall x 3’ Wide Sun to Part Shade Drought tolerant Combine with: Aster ‘October Skies’ - Aromatic Aster Agastache ‘Blue Fortune’ - Anise Hyssop Hydrangea paniculata ‘Limelight’ - Hydrangea Echinacea ‘Magnus’ - Purple Coneflower
