The very name is evocative: it has the sweet perfume of Italy and, for anyone interested at all in automobiles, the place is synonymous with Ferrari. The small town close to Modena is the epicentre of the passion for the red racing cars with the prancing horse, laden with prestige, elegance and performance. In Maranello, cars and motor sport are granted the status of religions, of those religions which arouse vocations. As Italy is also the land of Karting, Maranello was inevitably bound to inspire kart lovers. And the headquarters of the engine Manufacturer SGM, mainly renowned for its KZ gearbox engines, are indeed located a stone’s throw from the Ferrari plants. In 1996, Maranello Kart was born and the small enterprise started manufacturing chassis… recognisable thanks to their red colour. After three years of development, the make Maranello Kart had the CIK-FIA proceed to the first official homologation of its chassis. Without giving up its name, the make nonetheless left the town of Maranello to settle at Lonato, near the well-known South Garda Karting circuit. A man was to transform the make and give it the international - 17 - participating makes dimension that we know today : Armando Fillini. His Karting expertise associated to his passion was to enable Maranello to become a major protagonist on the scene of international competitions. In 2008 and 2009, the Maranello Racing Team is even the team which entered the largest number of Drivers in the CIK-FIA Championships ! The make also reaps success as it won in particular a World Cup for KF1 in Japan (Davide Foré, 2008), several European titles (Junior in 2006 with Miquel Monras, Super KF in 2009 with Aaro Vainio). Maranello Kart often distinguished itself by its will to promote young talents, such as Ben Hanley, Jules Bianchi and Aaro Vainio. To its extended range of “ racing ” type chassis, the make has recently added engines specifically homologated in KF & KZ and called “ Maranello ”. - 18 - participating makes Energy Corse was created in 1997, i.e. only three years after Michele Panigada, its creator and now director and team-manager, landed a Driver’s CIK-FIA European ICA Vice-Champion. The first karts to bear the “ Energy ” label were obviously developed and experienced in competition by Michele Panigada himself as he competed in several World Championships in the top category of these days, Formula Super A. As the years 2000 went by, the presence of Energy Corse in major international and national championships was considerably developed, so much so that Energy Corse is now part of the great reference teams with the best structures. Very active in the gearbox kart category where it has made a name for itself, Energy Corse won in that category several CIK-FIA European titles (2004 with Holland’s Ricardo Van der Ende, 2006 with Germany’s Ernst Behrens, 2008 with France’s Tony Lavanant and 2010 with Paolo De Conto) and has just perpetuated this kind of tradition by taking its very first European crown in KZ1, on last 12 June in Germany, with Paolo De Conto. - 19 - participating makes More recently, Energy Corse has extended its official involvement to the KF2 and KF3 categories, thus playing the card of the promotion of young Drivers. Their talent associated to the professional follow-up ensured at the circuits and in the development of the equipment by the Racing Team, has enabled the make to win two CIK-FIA Viking Trophies (2008 with the Swede Joel Johansson in KF2 and 2011 with Norway’s Dennis Olsen in KF3) as well as a Vice-World Champion title in 2010 with the Dane Nicolaj Moller Madsen. Energy Corse is based in the north of Italy, at Seriate (Bergamo) and employs 8 people. - 20 - participating makes Former European Karting Champion (1986), former Formula 1 and IndyCar Driver, Alessandro Zanardi made a point of retaining a link with the sport which thrust him to the tremendous career he has made for himself. He has thus given his name to a kart brand, the running of which he has partly entrusted CRG (which manufactures the chassis) with, and its management is entirely in Dino Chiesa’s hands. Zanardi’s interest for this programme has coincided with his definitive return to Padua, in Italy, after the years he spent in the United States. He has had more and more meetings with the Karting community and he naturally turned to Dino Chiesa to carry through his project to a successful conclusion. His involvement was announced within the framework of the 2004 World Championship, and in 2005 Team Zanardi entered CRG chassis. It was only in 2006 that Zanardi became a make homologated as such. The white and blue make is now mainly renowned for its association with the successes of the little Dutch prodigy Nyck de Vries. Without the contribution of its Team Manager, Dino Chiesa, Zanardi would certainly not be the make that it has become. Mechanic of Zanardi himself in 1987 (together they won the prestigious Hong Kong GP) and then of Mike Wilson in the 1980’s, Dino Chiesa managed CRG’s racing Team throughout the 90’s, taking in particular under its umbrella such Drivers as Danilo Rossi, - 21 - participating makes Vitantonio Liuzzi, Giorgio Pantano, Jan Magnussen, Ryan Briscoe, Patrick Long and Ennio Gandolfi. Approached by Keke Rosberg, he then founded Team MBM (Mercedes Benz McLaren), fully dedicated in the early 2000’s to Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton, first with CRG chassis, then with MBM ones manufactured by Parolin. Zanardi is one of the two new makes which have joined the bosom of the brands officially entered in the CIK-FIA “ U18 ” World Championship and will be represented on the track by seven Drivers of as many nationalities, with an Australian (Aidan Wright), a South-African lady Driver (Naomi Schiff ), a Briton (Matthew Graham), a Greek (Dimitrios Vasileris), a Frenchman (Simon Tirman), an Italian (Damiano Marchesan) and a Driver from the Sultanate of Oman (Sanad Al Rawahi). - 22 - participating makes Tecno is the very expression of noble home-made crafts. The love to see a job well done, the overall control of production, the commitment to human values in one’s work and in sport, all brought to the highest level. Tecno reflects the permanent confrontation between mechanical cleverness and a belonging to another world, a world where passion has not been replaced by the modern economical models or by obsessive mass production. This is what Graziano Cerino, Mr Tecno, is made of : he belongs to the old school. Tecno makes it a point of honour to be a major Manufacturer while remaining a small one. For the boss, greatness is indeed in the capacity to create, to innovate, to optimise, to master. At each new homologation session, i.e. every three years, Tecno reserves at least one surprise and presents, always with discretion and modesty, a technological novelty or a new mechanical refinement … Based in Strambino, near Turin, the make dear to Graziano Cerino was born in the 1970’s. It has no connections with the other Tecno, that of the Pederzani brothers, who, before manufacturing Formula 3 and even Formula 1 cars, revolutionised Karting in the 1960’s by creating the architecture of kart - 23 - participating makes frames which still prevails today. The Tecno di Graziano Cerino is getting through its fourth decade of Karting and has touched the production of every kart component except tyres. Chassis, brakes, engines, ignitions, bodywork, hubs, rims, various accessories, etc. In its will to master everything, Tecno has even gone as far as including in its production chain a paint workshop for the frames ! While originality is its trademark, some sporting results have also enhanced the image of Tecno. In the days when the Manufacturer was very involved in the biggest competitions – directly or via the GKS structure of Paul Lemmens, who was in the past his importer for Belgium – Tecno collected victories and international titles. And out of all the successes achieved, the 1997 European title probably remains the one that is most engraved in people’s memories as it was conquered in the top category of those days – Formula Super A – and also, not to say mainly, because the co-author of the performance was a future World Formula 1 Champion : Jenson Button. - 24 - participating makes MS Kart, from the initials of its creator and director Milan Simak, is one of the few major Manufacturers who are not based in Italy. The headquarters and production plant of MS Kart are located in Prachatice, in the Czech Republic. The company employs some 26 persons and produces as an Logo Mskart average 800 to 1,000 chassis per year. It was created in 1992. The Czech Manufacturer is a unique case on the scene of Karting industrialists : he is the only one who proposes in his range of products a type of karts for every CIK-FIA category, from KF chassis to Superkarts, not forgetting KZs. And MS Kart obviously also has Minikarts, leisure karts and rent karts on his price-list. A large number of accessories which equip the karts are designed and manufactured in-house, which further enhances the Manufacturer status of MS Kart. On the international scene, MS Kart has often shown a predilection for gearbox categories, probably as a legacy of the boss’ sporting past. During his career as a Driver, Milan Simak indeed landed a European 125cc - 25 - participating makes title in 1980 at Olomouc (CZE) on an artisanal chassis of his own making. Its major modern successes, MS Kart owes them to the German Peter Elkmann, CIK-FIA European Superkart Champion in 2008 and winner of many international Superkart events, like the famous British Superkart GP. Logo Mskart - 26 - participating makes Like many other Manufacturers, Albino Parolin inherited a passion for motor sports from his father, who was a motocross engine tuner. As like many other factory bosses active in Karting, Albino Parolin used to be a Driver and then a Mechanic. From 1981 to 1990, he took part in a lot of national and international events, even directly competing against such Drivers as Hakkinen, Schumacher or Morbidelli. Then came the time to put his passion for Karting into practice, and he became a very high-level Mechanic. It gave him the opportunity to accompany the rise of a future Formula One Driver, Giancarlo Fisichella. He subsequently had the idea of manufacturing his own chassis. And then that of subcontracting for other makes. Parolin may not be the most famous Manufacturer of the day but appearances can be deceiving as the company based in Romano d’Ezzelino, in the Italian Venetia, is perhaps the one which uses the largest number of tubes for the manufacturing of frames every year ! The reason is that very many makes have recourse to the services of Parolin to get their karts produced, and the plant is accordingly equipped. - 27 - participating makes Parolin has never systematically entered the major competitions. Racing against his own customers is a moral obstacle that the boss refuses to ignore too much. However, as high-level competition nevertheless remains the best experimentation ground and the best conveyor for technological development, Albino Parolin selects his Racing Team’s entries according to possible challenges or to the motivation and curiosity that they can generate. Thus, in 2002, Parolin supplied chassis to Team MBM, which was specifically created to have Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg compete in the World Championship before they switched over to automobiles. And, quite recently, Parolin has focussed on the challenging undertaking to introduce more affordable and balanced Karting by supplying his complete karts for the CIK-FIA Academy Trophy as well as the engines (with WKE marking) for the CIK-FIA “ U18 ” World Championship, and by entering its chassis make in the latter Championship reserved for Drivers under 18 years old. - 28 - participating makes Born from Piero Cavaciuti’s will and engine expertise, PCR is one of these makes which have written the history of Karting. PCR (for Piero Cavaciuti Racing) started by using 2-stroke engines dedicated to competition Karting. After having worked to the development and tuning of engines of the make BM, Piero Cavaciuti decided to stand on his own two feet in 1974. It was only eleven years later that PCR also undertook to manufacture its own chassis. While a Manufacturer mastering the building and selling of his own chassis and engines is now a widespread practice, PCR’s undertaking in the middle of the 1980’ s, was rather unusual if not pioneering. This being said, the risky gamble was won two years later when PCR managed to land the World Championship at Jesolo (Italy) with its official Driver Gianpiero Simoni! PCR’s destiny was subsequently taken over by the sons of Piero Cavaciuti. Amongst the notorious Drivers who were part of the team – and who have remained remarkably faithful to it – there were the former Formula One Driver Giancarlo Fisichella, the Finn Tom Vilander (now very present in GT), and, of course, the Dane Gert Munkholm, World Champion with PCR in 1989 at Valence (France). - 29 - participating makes Yesterday’s PCR has however gone and has now been replaced by the “ Scuderia PCR ”, under the direction of Cesare Speranza, already known on the Karting scene as being the owner of the circuit of Busca, near Cuneo, in the north of Italy. The activities of the make are now exclusively focused on chassis. - 30 - participating makes The Righetti-Ridolfi company was born in 1969 in the Verona region. In those days, it was a small family business specialised in the moulding of plastic. Karting did not yet constitute their main market but was soon to become so. Enzo Righetti was such a Karting lover right from the beginning of the 1960’ s that he built his own kart. He then started to import from the United States some components in order to meet the demand of the Italian market. The production of plastic parts for Karting was to follow from the early 70’ s, and his move in 1972 to a new headquarter, in Sona, was accompanied by the specialisation of the company in the manufacturing of accessories for competition Karting. In 1984, the company continued its expansion, and Mrs Ida Ridolfi (Enzo Righetti’s wife) and her two sons, Maurizio and Gianpaolo, joined the firm. This new impetus allowed a development of the production, with a price-list of over 200 items. As years went by, Righetti Ridolfi modernised its tooling and completed its range of plastic products with aluminium accessories. - 31 - participating makes With 700 sales outlets throughout 87 countries in the five continents, Righetti Ridolfi is today one of the main companies in the world for the production of Karting accessories. It proposes approximately 2,700 different articles, mostly manufactured by the company itself. In addition to the production of its own chassis under the company name Righetti Ridolfi, over the last few years it has acquired the makes Gold Kart, All Kart and Mac Minarelli, as well as the makes Aviomac and Mac Marine in the field of model building of planes and boats. - 32 - participating makes Top Kart is the make of the chassis produced by Comer, the well-known Manufacturer of engines with a small cylinder capacity which monopolised most markets of “ minime ” and cadet categories for such a long time. And in fact a lot of Comer engines are still used throughout the world, even though many ASNs have now opened these categories for 8 to 12 year-olds to other competitor makes. One way or another, even if it was indirectly, Comer more than any other Manufacturer has accompanied the motor sport débuts of almost every current notorious Driver. Not unlike the fate of the different varieties of 4-stroke Honda engines in rent Karting, both indoor and outdoor, it is ironical that these Comer engines, successful in the “ minimes ” and cadet classes, were not originally aimed at being fitted to karts because they were actually industrial engines! In spite of never constituting the company’s main activity, Karting has been an integral part of Comer’s history since the 1980’ s. Based at Bagnolo in Piano, in the region of Reggio Emilia, Comer is one of those Manufacturers who make it a point of honour to design, develop and produce themselves their karts and components, without sub-contracting too much. - 33 - participating makes Very present on certain national markets, Top Kart and/or Comer products also boast a fine list of international results. Their most important wins were the one achieved in 2010 with UK’S Jake Dennis, who took the very first “ U18 ” World Championship crown and the one achieved at Braga (Portugal) in the year 2000 when the Briton Colin Brown landed the Drivers’ World Champion title in Formula A, at the wheel of a Top Kart chassis. In 1994, Sweden’s Fredrik Wallberg had also placed a Top Kart on the third step of a World Championship podium, this time in Formula C (which was then the top category of gearbox karts). Many other successes have been conquered, in particular two titles in the ICA category, in 1997 with Bressan and in 1999 with Téo Fabi’s son. In 2009, a Top Kart worked its way up to the second place of the CIK-FIA World Cup for KF3 thanks to the British Driver Jake Dennis. - 34 - participating makes Intrepid is the story of a small parts producer, SKM, that grew up – the story of how a small-scale wheel hub manufacturer was transformed into one of the biggest teams in international Karting. It all began in 1992, with the modest production of parts for Karting, a sport practised at the time by Mirko Sguerzoni as an amateur driver. The small firm grew very quickly, to the point of becoming a supplier of spare parts for the major makes. Then, by dint of frequenting the Karting world and acquiring increasingly sophisticated tools, SKM had the bright idea of becoming a manufacturer in its own right. In fact, the company was already producing everything for karts except for the frames. It took the plunge in two stages : first by assembling frames for its clients, and then, in 2003, by launching its own make, which it named Intrepid. The team had lofty ambitions. Spurred on by its young boss, Intrepid impressed people with its dynamism, paying great attention to the image of its karts and, right from the start, recruiting famous racing drivers, including several former World Champions such as Alessandro Manetti, Alessandro Piccini and Ruben Carrapatoso. From its very first year as a manufacturer of homologated chassis, Intrepid played a highly visible part in the World Championship with Hector Pineiro, though his momentum was halted by an - 35 - participating makes engine problem. In 2006, the first major international consecration came in Japan, where Arnaud Kozlinski won the coveted World Cup. In these last two seasons (2009 and 2010), the predominantly orange make showed itself to be uncompromising in the KZ1 category, placing its two drivers, Bas Lammers and Jérémy Iglesias, right at the top of the European and World Cup hierarchies. In 2010, Intrepid also helped UK’S Red Bull Bracked Alexander Albon to win both the European KF3 Championship and the World Cup for KF3. Although Intrepid built its reputation with experienced drivers, today it is also harvesting the fruits of a policy that is resolutely focussed on the youngest racers. Two of the current Formula One drivers, Sébastien Buémi and Jaime Alguersuari, given a place in the Torro Rosso team by Red Bull, learned the ropes in Karting within the Intrepid team. This policy of nurturing young talent continues today, with the creation of the Intrepid Driver Program and the substantial involvement of the make in the CIK-FIA « U18 » World Karting Championship. - 36 - participating makes The greatest football players often end up continuing their careers as coaches. As for the greatest kart champions, when they have not switched over to motor sport they stay on the Karting scene and sometimes become Manufacturers or kart dealers, sometimes Drivers’ managers. There are many examples: Mike Wilson, Danilo Rossi, Peter de Bruijn, Gianluca Beggio, Milan Simak, Harm Schuurman, Gianfranco Baroni, etc. Jorn Haase is one of them. In the 1980’ s, the most Italian of Danish kartmen travelled throughout the world as an official Driver and conquered many victories in Europe, Australia and Hong Kong. The most prestigious of these trophies is obviously the one he landed in 1984 at Liedolsheim (DEU) in the World Formula K Championship. In 1989, Jorn put an end to his Driver’s career and launched his own kart make. The Haase chassis were soon to distinguish themselves. In 1993, Haase aligned an extraordinary series of titles with his official Driver Nicola Gianniberti : the Haase-Gianniberti duo clinched the World Formula Super A Championship, the European Formula Super A Championship and the World Cup in Japan ! The following year, a Haase chassis took yet another world title, in Formula A this time, thanks to the Italian Marco Barindelli. - 37 - participating makes In 1995, his company extended its activities and, under the name of Titan, Haase started manufacturing his own engines. Although his Racing Team is now less involved in major international competitions, Haase nonetheless remains very present on some world markets, particularly Asian and American, with his eponymous chassis as well as those bearing the name “ Corsa ”. - 38 - participating makes Hetschel, Mach 1, KZH: the three are one. Hetschel is the Manufacturer – the family which has given its name to one of the oldest Karting plants. Mach 1 is the make of chassis produced by the company. And KZH, the make of its engines. One must go back to 1968 for the genesis of the family business. Lothar and Wilhelm Hetschel manufactured their first kart 42 years ago in the cellar of their father’s house, in Zuffenhausen/Stuttgart – the Porsche city. In order to design a vehicle properly and control its development, there is nothing better than also to carry out its tests. And what is the best testing ground ? Competition, of course ! Wilhelm Hetschel fain sat behind the steering wheel and, with the contribution of his technician brother, conquered several national titles in Germany. As results and experience came, the Hetschel brothers started developing a series production in 1972. From Stuttgart, they then moved to Brackenheim-Meimsheim, where the headquarters of the company still are. With all his German seriousness and rigour, Hetschel has built for himself a solid reputation by manufacturing both his own chassis and engines, in categories with or without a gearbox. The fashion of “ full ” Manufacturers was only developed much later so Hetschel played a pioneer’s part in this field. - 39 - participating makes Although the Mach 1 and KZH products have been exported to a large extent, they almost always owed their most spectacular successes to German Drivers. Before their well-known motor sport careers, Drivers such as Heinz Harald Frenzen, Jörg van Ommen and even Michael Schumacher used Karting equipment “ made in Hetschel ”. The make won its latest international title thanks to yet another Germanic Driver, David Hemkemeyer, European Formula A Champion in 2002. Lothar and Wilhelm Hetschel – and their spouses – are still at the head of the company some 42 years after their first creation – and as a good selfrespecting family business, the children – led by Martin Hetschel – are fully part of the adventure and quite decided to perpetuate the tradition. - 40 - participating makes Created in 1981 by Gildas Mérian, its current President, Sodikart, in what will soon be 30 years, has become a major protagonist on the world Karting market. Out of all the Manufacturers, it is undoubtedly the one who has developed the largest industrial organisation and now generates the largest world production of both competition and rent karts. All the Sodikart departments – commercial, administrative, production, research & development – operate from an ultramodern plant on 8,000 m located in Nantes, France, which was inaugurated in 1998. Sodikart employs 80 to 110 persons, according to seasons, and proposes a vast range of products and services (various equipments and accessories, organisation of events and e-trade website). Mainly focused on competition in the 1980’ s – initially as an importer and then with the first competition chassis of its own production under the make name Sodi – Sodikart then anticipated the emergence of a rent and leisure market in full growth by dedicating most of its development to the optimisation and manufacturing of such karts by thus limiting its involvement in competition. Particularly groundbreaking on this specific leisure ready market, Sodikart has developed a range of specifically adapted and innovative karts - 41 - participating makes (technology, design and safety), and it has naturally positioned itself as the world leader. Its capacity to innovate and develop its products has since allowed it to maintain its dominating position. As a man who is keen on competition, but also because racing remains a stimulating experimentation ground, both for technological developments and for his make’s image, Gildas Mérian has gone back with a vengeance to his first love. He has revived Sodikart’s “ Racing Team ”, and the make was very quickly successful again from the beginning of the 1990’ s – with his first World Formula A title in 1993 as an apotheosis. In 2004, Sodikart landed the World Cup for Teams, while additionally collecting titles, victories and podiums both in France and abroad, as well as in official international competitions of the CIK-FIA – namely a list of results which now makes of Sodikart one of the most successful Manufacturers on all the circuits in the world. - 42 - participating makes Originally a German make created in 1969, Hutless became Swiss Hutless when it was taken over in 1971 by the Swiss Dieter Vokinger. This was not the début of Vokinger in Karting as three years before he had acquired the Kappelen track. Subsequently, in 1992, Group Vokinger also built the Karting circuit of Lyss, near Bern in Switzerland, which still exists today and is close to the company’s headquarters. Swiss Hutless Karts has always maintained a varied Karting activity, using high-level competition to strengthen its position on the market of national competitions on every continent, but also in the field of rent karts, with equipment specifically aimed at leisure Karting, both indoor and outdoor, and also aimed at small children. Its commercial approach has long been looked on as that of a trail-blazer and as a reference, its catalogue and its distribution network being among the most developed and modern ones. In 2007 the status of the company changed when Swiss Hutless Karts became New Swiss Hutless International AG. Today, Niklaus Gurtner manages the company, which employs 14 persons. Put on the back burner for a few years, Swiss Hutless’ “ competition ” branch - 43 - participating makes has been revived this season and is managed by France’s Manuel Renaudie, who recently put an end to his brilliant career as a professional Driver. Renaudie in particular finished second in the 2009 World Cup for Super KF, was Vice-European Champion that year, and his titles of winner of the German (2010) and Italian Championships (2003), as well as Vice-French Champion (2002) bespeak a long presence at the highest level. To reaffirm its international involvement Swiss Hutless has chosen to enter the CIK-FIA “ U18 ” World Championship as a make. It will be represented therein by three Swiss Drivers (Alain Valente, Yves Von Aesch and Isabelle Von Lerber) and a Bahraini (Abdulla Al-Thawadi), who will have the difficult task of restoring the Swiss Team’s prestige of yesteryear, especially marked by the World titles conquered by Peter de Bruijn in 1980 and Massimiliano Orsini in 1995. - 44 - Ric ky collard i 1 profile Entrant : Racing Step Foundation (GBR) D.O.B : 30.07.1996 i Lives in Hook (GBR) main results i 2011 : Racing KF3 for Racing Steps Foundation ZIP Young Guns Team No race in 2010 due to a broken arm 2009 : 4th in the British Cadet Championship 2008 : 11th in the British Cadet Championship notes First experience in a kart at the age of 8 First race at the age of 8 at Blackbushe Kart Track (GBR) Ricky is the son of British & European Touring Car driver Rob Collard - 45 - Sa m webster i 2 profile Entrant : Racing Step Foundation (GBR) D.O.B : 23.07.1996 i Lives in Weymouth (GBR) main results i 2011 : Currently 7th in the British KF3 Championship 2009 : 3rd in the National Cadet Championship 2008 : 9th in the British Cadet Championship notes First experience in a kart at the age of 10 First race at the age of 10 at Clay Pigeon Raceway (GBR) - 46 - Ro b b ie dalgleish i 3 profile Entrant : Racing Step Foundation (GBR) D.O.B : 05.12.1994 i main results i Lives in Peebles (GBR) notes - 47 - Raq u el martinez i 4 profile Entrant : Emilia Kart Srl (ITA) D.O.B : 16.06.1995 i Lives in Whittier (USA) main results i Multi time IKF Grand National Champion • Participate in the Lyn St. James Program • Winner of the 2010 WSK KF3 North American Series notes First experience in a kart at the age of 5 First race at the age of 5 at the Adams Kart Circuit – Riverside, California - 48 - Mic h el e beccaria i 5 profile Entrant : Emilia Kart Srl (ITA) D.O.B : 28.10.1995 i Lives in Calascibetta (ITA) main results i 2010 : 7th in the CIK-FIA European KF3 Championship, Central Region Qualification • 21st in the WSK Euro Series; 2nd in the “Torneo Industrie” notes First experience in a kart at the age of 7 First race at the age of 7 in Sicilia (ITA) - 49 - « speedy» (An to n io F U OCO) i 6 profile Entrant : Emilia Kart Srl (ITA) D.O.B : 20.05.1996 i Lives in Cagliati Marina (ITA) main results i 2010 : 2nd in the KF3 Italian Open Masters 2009 : 3rd in the KF3 Italian Open Masters notes - 50 - Fed erico savona i 7 profile Entrant : Emilia Kart Srl (ITA) D.O.B : 16.01.1996 i Lives in Castelnovo Monti (ITA) main results i 2010 : 17th in the CIK-FIA European KF3 Championship 4th in the KF3 Trofeo Andrea Margutti 2009 : 5th in the KF3 Italian Open Masters 2007 : Winner of the Italian Minikart Championship notes First experience in kart at the age of 4 First race at the age of 7 - 51 - Nic l as nylund i 10 profile Entrant : Redstep (FIN) D.O.B : 07.09.1995 i Lives in Masku (FIN) main results i 2011 : 11th in the CIK-FIA KF2 Northern European Trophy 2010 : 8th in the CIK-FIA KF3 Monaco Kart Cup 8th in the Finnish KF3 Championship notes First experience in kart at the age of 7 First race at the age of 7 at Turku (FIN) - 52 - Pyry ovaska i 11 profile Entrant : Redstep (FIN) D.O.B : 08.03.1995 i Lives in Seinajoki (FIN) main results i 2010 : 3rd in the KF3 Finnish Championship 18th in the CIK-FIA KF3 European Championship 10th in the CIK-FIA KF3 Monaco Kart Cup notes First experience in a kart at the age of 4 First race at the age of 8 in Ylivieska (FIN) - 53 - To m i katajamäki i 12 profile Entrant : Redstep (FIN) D.O.B : 20.09.1994 i main results i Lives in Härmä (FIN) notes First experience in kart at the age of 10 First race at the age of 12 at Lapua (FIN) - 54 - Ha n n ah pym i 15 profile Entrant : Millennium Motorsport (GBR) D.O.B : 26.06.1996 i Lives in Middlesex (GBR) main results i 2010 : 20th in the French KF3 Championship 2009 : 2nd in the Kartmasters GP, UK notes - 55 - Al es s an d ro latif i 16 profile Entrant : Millennium Motorsport (GBR) D.O.B : 11.04.1996 i Lives in London (GBR) main results i 2011 : Currently 13th in the British Rotax Max Junior series 4th in the Rotax Winter Cup Took part in 4 rounds (out of 6) of the Florida Winter Tour (2 Top 3 finishes) 2010 : 4th in the Rotax International Open notes First experience in a kart at the age of 11 First race at the age of 11 at Whilton Mill (GBR) - 56 - Aaro n sherlock i 17 profile Entrant : Kartronix (GBR) D.O.B : 11.02.1993 i Lives in Co.
