We are open 365 days a year! From April to
September we open from 9am until 7pm and
between October and March we are open from
9am until it gets dark.
Dogs are welcome in our zoo.

Magdeburg Zoo has over 1350 animals within an area of
16 hectares – from elephant to harvest mouse, from
giraffe to rococo toad, from chimpanzee to marmoset.
Here you can experience a diverse range of animal life
across the continents. Particulary enjoyable are the
walk-through animal enclosures of the lemurs of
Madagascar, the Angola colobus and the white-faced saki
as well as experiencing the various animal presentations*.
