You’ve no doubt heard of the International Bowling Pro Shop & Instructors Association. But you still may be unfamiliar with some of the new, recently added benefits of membership that will add dollars to your pocket. Thanks to the bowling ball manufacturers and distributors, the Ball Seed Program allows you to purchase bowling balls at a huge discount. The potential savings are higher than the cost of IBPSIA membership. Along with the BPAA membership, your pro shop will receive savings on credit card processing fees. In some case, the savings will double, even triple your membership fee. Also through the proprietor network, discounts have been negotiated with Office Depot, Grainger, First Data and much more. There is no financial risk to joining IBPSIA. If you have any questions, please be sure to contact me. Logos appearing in this guide may not be altered in any way. These guidelines must be consulted during the design of any IBPSIA Pro Shop related materials. The items shown on this guide are not suitable for reproduction in any form. To access and download the official versions of the IBPSIA logos, visit www.IBPSIA.com. To gain access to the logos, you will need to log in with your member ID number and password and agree to the usage guidelines. If you do not know your member ID number, contact IBPSIA at 800-659-9444. Logo Colors: The IBPSIA logo is designed to be a black and white representation as set below. Background color and shade will determine logo variation used. Logo Variations: The IBPSIA logo may be modified to a vertical format for use on shirt sleeves or other areas where the preferred horizontal format will not meet the clear space/ safety zone requirement. Scaling: The IBPSIA logo must not be scaled in any way that distorts any element of the artwork. All scaling should be uniform across the length and width of the logo. Minimum Size Requirements: A two inch (2”) minimum margin is required on all embroidery renditions of the IBPSIA logos, and a three-eights inch (3/8”) minimum for all printed materials. Clear Space/Safety Zone: Adherence to clear space/safety zone standards provides a consistent look to the IBPSIA logo and protects the proprietary nature of the IBPSIA logo and is used to defend against unauthorized application. A minimum distance is required between the IBPSIA logo and all other graphic elements. To determine the distance: 1. Draw a square the height of the large IBPSIA letters. This square will become your measurement unit. 2. Draw a box around the complete IBPSIA logo. 3. Draw a second larger box with sides that are one measurement unit from the inner box. 4. Due to the vertical shape of the IBPSIA bowler, only one half of the measurement unit is necessary at the top of the primary and secondary marks. No graphic elements may fall within this clear space. Please See Diagram. 16 IBPSIA_BBIA_18.indd 16 7/8/14 4:32 PM IBPSIA Logo Usage As a current member of the International Bowling Pro Shop and Instructors Association (IBPSIA), you are granted a license to use the IBPSIA logo within the rules and conditions outlined in this section.
