Where The Comanche Lived
The Comanche Indians are Plains Indians. They live along the Platte river in Wyoming. It looked dry,flat, and a grassy land. Comanche Indians also live in the state of Oklahoma. Some Comanche Plains Indians live in the state of Texas.

Comanche Homes
The Comanche Indians live in tipis. It took twelve to fourteen coats of buffalo hides to make the cover of the tipis. They made tipis out of buffalo hides so they can stay safe from storms and rain. The Comanche Indians also made tipis out of sticks for the frame.

Comanche Food
The Comanche Indians hunted dear and buffalo. Comanche's food gets hot because the women will put a rock that is under the fire in a cooking bag. The Comanche Indians got most of their food from buffalo. The Comanche Indians road horses to kill the buffalo. The horses changed the Comanche's hunting because they use to walk on their feet. Comanche Roles & Jobs
The Comanche Indians had many roles and jobs. Young girls helped their mother cook dinner & care for their family. Woman helped put up tipis. Young boys helped their father go hunting. When children were five years old they learned how to ride a horse. The Comanche Indians have lots of jobs. 5
