Until recently, Amador County was best known for its rich Zinfandel wines but, today, the area is now producing highly-acclaimed Cabernet, Sangiovese, Barbera, Petite Sirah and full-bodied dessert wines. A day’s tour takes travelers from the fertile Jackson Valley to wineries just a few miles outside of Plymouth. Most of the county’s premium wineries are located in the nearby Shenandoah Valley area, where much of the Zinfandel vines are located. Our local wineries, mostly small and family-owned, provide a relaxed and personal wine tasting experience. Amador County wines are also available at Café at the Park. Be sure to pick up a box lunch at Café at the Park to enjoy at one of the picnic areas provided by many of the wineries.
