Sympathy
Sympathy is extended to the
Menno Giesbrecht family of
Winnipeg. Menno passed away
last week with the funeral being on Saturday at Birchwood
Funeral Chapel in Steinbach.
The Giesbrechts lived in the
Rosenort area where their
family grew up attending the
Rosenort School.
The 1932 group that gets
Best wishes go out to Ed
and Margaret Braun of Morris on the celebration of their
60th wedding anniversary. On
Sunday around 200 relatives
and friends gathered at the
Southern Manitoba Convention
Centre to honour the couple.
The dining hall was beautifully decorated and the family
and others entertained with a
program before a buffet lunch
was served. The Brauns live
at Rebecca Cove after retiring
from The Dollar Store.
On Thursday evening many
family members attended
Meet the Teacher at Rosenort
School. Hot dogs, sweets and
munchies were served. I’ll have
more news for next week.
Just married
Carissa Bartel and Ryan
Tates were married on Sunday
in Niverville. It was a beautiful wedding; the decor at the
Heritage Centre is so lovely
and the ceremony took place
at the top of the open staircase.
Ward Parkinson officiated. The
reception followed in the dining hall. The young couple will
make their home in Morris.
It has been interesting to follow the blog of Kris Dueck’s
back surgery in Germany. All
seems to have gone very well
and some of the support group
will be coming home soon.
