WINTER NEWSLETTER 2015
2015 NEWSLETTER
A LOOK BACK AT 2015
2015 was another great year for our industry. We hosted many
events and attended even more. Many were charity events and
as usual, the Yachting Industry stepped to the plate and donated
in record fashion. Please enjoy the recap of our year including our
new team members here at NMS to our employees of each month
and our many ten year anniversaries.
• There was a niche in the Yachting Industry 25 years ago and, of
course, the vision of a young couple.
• What started out with a single person walking the docks has grown
to over 150 skilled professionals with offices globally.
• Our facility has grown to over 100,000 square feet of equipment and a
logistics departments to service yachts globally.
• Our services have extended to over fifteen different departments
assisting with every facet of the superyacht industry.
• All of National Marine’s customers, clients, vendors and employees
have contributed to reaching this monumental 25th year Anniversary.
• Thank you for all of your relationships and dedication, we could
not have done it without you.
AN EVENTFUL YEAR
THE EVENTS
YACHTY NATIONALS GOLF TOURNAMENT
On March 8, 2015, we hosted our Annual Yachty National Invitational Golf
Tournament, to benefit the Marine Industry Cares Foundation. This year
the event took place at Hillcrest Golf and Country Club. The event started
with breakfast and a putting contest. The winner got to drive a brand new
Corvette for the weekend. Various contests throughout the day included;
closest to the pin, longest drive, fastest swing and more. Each hole provided
different food, drinks, games and even obstacles to take your attention
away from the round. Special thanks go out to our supporters who
attended this entertaining and successful event to help raise $7,212.

MARINE INDUSTRY CARES FOUNDATION SPINATHON
The Marine Industry Cares Foundation raised more than $100,000
at its 7th annual Spin-A-Thon in Ft. Lauderdale the last weekend in
April. Members of the marine industry pedaled for six hours to
benefit neglected and at-risk children, youth healthcare, and
family services. Proceeds benefitted Children's Diagnostic & Treatment
Center and Kids in Distress. Various spin teams were sponsored
by different partners within the yachting community. Since 2009,
MICF has helped children’s charities raise $600,000!
About 500 people organized into 100 teams rode the bikes through
the hot afternoon. Team members took turns, so no one had to ride
for six straight hours. The bikes were decorated with inflatable toys,
streamers, pom-poms, pinwheels, tinsel, sunflowers and, at least, one
hula skirt. Some riders dressed in neon colors, bikinis worn over
clothing, or team T-shirts.
YACHT BIKERS POKER RUN
2015 Yacht Bikers Poker Run was held on October 24th and was
in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness. All proceeds from the ride
were donated to the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation, which
provides free mammograms and preventative tests and procedures
to women in Florida. PINK bandannas went on at 8:00 am, kickstands
went up at 10:00 am! The start of the ride was at National Marine
and went to Chester’s Harley Davidson just off 595. The next stop
was The Miccosukee Resort and Casino on 27 in Miami. There
were snacks and refreshments and games at each of the stops.
With over 100 miles for the ride with police closures and over
400 participants - motorcycles, convertibles, and classic cars
were all invited. Proceeds benefitted the Florida Breast Cancer
Foundation for breast cancer research, education, and awareness
in Florida for residents. The final stop was held at the Schnebly
Winery in Homestead where we had the raffle contest, presentation
of the awards and a great late lunch. Thank you to all of our riders
who participated in making this year’s Poker Run a huge success
and graciously donating to a worthy cause.
PRO CHEFS EVENT
National Marine Suppliers hosted its seventh annual Pro Chefs
Extravaganza at the Westin Hotel on Fort Lauderdale beach.
Captains, chefs, chief stews and more enjoyed the specialty
wares from food purveyors, galley supply companies, and interior
decor firms. This by invitation only event was a very successful
event offering great exposure for us and had a myriad of first class
vendors with gourmet tastings from around the world. We had
numerous vendors from all over the world including; Halperns’,
Fernando Pensato, Poly Science Culinary, Blends by Orly,
Christine Le Tennier, Caviar Petrossian Paris & many more. Whether
it be needing to source new appliances and utensils for the
kitchen/galley, the finest quality food ingredients for a special
event, or seeking suggestions on new cutting edge products for
designing that “over the top” menu, National Marine Suppliers
Provisions Department is more than happy to assist. The annual
Pro Chef’s event allows us to showcase the newest and latest
products and trends for our customers as well as provide sample

CUSTOMER APPRECIATION PARTY
National Marine Suppliers “Breast Slumber Party Ever” Customer
Appreciation Party, in Honor Of Breast Cancer Awareness, was an
enormous success! As a company, we feel honored & privileged to
have hosted such an unbelievable event! We would like to give a big
thanks to all of our sponsors who made it possible! The event took
place on November 7th, 2015, at Riverfront, Las Olas. The party’s
theme was 'Breast Slumber Party Ever', in honor of Breast Cancer
Awareness and the kick-off to Movember. Our guests put on their PJ’s
and came out for a night to truly remember.
Thousands attended, consisting of Yacht Owners, Captains, Crew &
our industries leading partners who all came dressed to impress.
Once again, we transformed the old Las Olas Riverfront venue into
a stunning outdoor dance party. From the flashy, pink BREAST SLUMBER
PARTY EVER entrance, to the over the top 10ft tall LED dancing robot,
this party was definitely the biggest & best pink party we have ever seen!
The night was filled with exciting entertainment from a fantastic band
& live DJ Ospinalot to hand rolled Mya Cigars, live pole dancers, body
painters & a very busy mechanical bull. Our photographers from Capture
Pod made you feel famous with thousands of memorable photos as well
as videos that you MUST check out from Bonomotion Video Agency.
SAVING LIVES...MAKING A DIFFERENCE
It is official, $71,719.00 was donated by our industry to the Florida
Breast Cancer Foundation. Thank you to all that participated in our
Poker Run, sponsors of our party and all that attended and donated
in any way. Last year’s party raised $63,271.00 for The Florida Breast
Cancer Foundation. This, in turn, allowed over 2,000 women to receive
free mammograms. Your participation and donations are what makes
this event memorable. We at National Marine are thankful to be able
to represent our yachting community and all our joint efforts, to help
stop a devastating disease. On behalf of all of our friends and
families, God bless your giving hearts!

SHOW SEASON
BOAT SHOWS 2015
National Marine has grown in the past few years to reach more
customers and further spread our brand into the yachting industry.
To accomplish this, we have participated in more Boat Shows internationally
than in previous years. In March, we exhibited at The Dubai International
Boat Show for the first time, and the reception we received was a pleasant
surprise. Back at home, The Palm Beach International Boat Show included
hundreds of boats from 8 ft. inflatables, to superyachts reaching 200 ft.
Our booth was once again one of a kind displaying some new items
from all of our departments.
To start off this year’s USA and the Caribbean season we traveled to
The Monaco Yacht Show in September. This is an exclusive yacht
show, the one and only occasion for the year to discover the greatest
of superyachting in the glamorous setting of Monaco. In November
we showcased several departments at the largest boat show in the world,
the 56th-annual Fort Lauderdale Boat Show near our headquarters and
right next to our Bahia Mar store location. This yearly extravaganza
showcases more than a billion dollars' worth of boats, yachts, and
accessories and brings in millions of dollars to the local economy.
It had numerous show venues at Bahia Mar Yachting Center, Hall of
Fame Marina, Las Olas Marina, Broward County Convention Center,
Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina, Pier 66 Marina, and The Sails Marina.
The show features hundreds of vendors, seminars, and activities.
From there we exhibited in the METSTRADE show in Amsterdam,
the world's largest marine equipment trade show, and the perfect
place to forge profitable relationships and showcase our new products.
We ended this year but are only beginning this season with Antigua
Charter Yacht Show in December. This year’s Boat Shows were
great exposure for National Marine Suppliers. If you missed it,
check in with us to get the scoop on what NEW toys, services, and
items we have available!

Blends by Orly is a line of five different combinations of gluten free flour.
Each Blend has been formulated to mimic the taste and texture of
particular baking/cooking categories. Blends by Orly (BBO) are made with
the highest quality wholesome gluten-free ingredients and are also OU
Kosher certified, nut free, vegan and corn free. These unique blends
provide a simple way to prepare baked goods that are so delicious
that people would have no idea they are eating something that is
gluten-free.
When a person who is gluten-free discovers a mouth-watering
recipe that calls for wheat flour in it, with great disappointment and
resignation, they have had to accept that they will never be able to
make that recipe. Now, BBO allows the cook or baker to make that
exact recipe by just replacing the wheat flour with one of these
incredible varieties.
Blends by Orly began when Orly the Baker was learning the art of
French baking while living with her husband in Paris and Sydney,
Australia. Her drive to discover the key to gluten-free perfection was
inspired by her food-centric husband, who was diagnosed with celiac
disease. During her studies at Le Cordon Bleu culinary school, Orly
figured out the perfect proportions of gluten-free grains mixed
and developed the five different gluten-free flour blends. Blends
by Orly are the culmination of countless gluten-free experiments
that Orly the Baker tested during her years living and traveling in
Paris, Sydney, New York, London, and Tuscany. Each Blend is inspired
by the culinary delights of that city. Contact us today and

industry and includes a polishing system that restores the dull finish
on a weathered paint job and a paint protection system that protects
the finish of a newly painted yacht. When used to the manufacturer's
specifications and application schedule, the system protects the paint
and can keep the surface looking like new for up to 10 years.

TRICOFLEX HOSES
M-RON GLASS
California Custom’s M-Ron Glass is not your ordinary wax. It is a
CLEANER & WAX, so you are not waxing over a dirty surface or
getting a waxy build up. That's why M-Ron Glass gives you such an
AMAZING SHINE! Because of how this works, we recommend to our
customers that once applied; let it sit and bake in the sun for 30 minutes
or longer. You will get a deeper shine and a higher luster than you
would if you were to apply it and take it off right away. It will NEVER
bake itself to the surface!
These are the most sought after hoses in the yachting and marine
industries and are extremely durable and long lasting. They are
five-layer multipurpose hoses with a UV-resistant outer cover in PVC,
knitted reinforcement and smooth bi-layer inner tube. The multi-layer
structure with exclusive knitting results in great flexibility, easy handling
and resistance to deformation under pressure. Different lengths and
widths are available with woven polyester fiber reinforcement and
two-layer smooth lining. The smooth internal wall maintains an even
flow. Tricoflex hose is also lightweight due to its foam structure.

coating, used instead of wax or polish, to provide the ultimate, durable
high-gloss protective finish for vehicles of all types. Entirely synthetic,
RejeX's protective characteristics far exceed those of traditional wax
products. It is highly resistant to chemicals, detergents, acids and UV,
which deteriorate paint over time. Even though RejeX contains no
polishing additives per se, the deep, lustrous high-gloss finish rivals
that of any polish or glaze.
MOORMEDS shore power covers protects and secures your yacht’s
shore cables, leads, and hose while in the marina, and transform the
stern of your boat. A flexible cover planned, designed and conceived
to hang the shore cables, hoses and other leads so that they are
completely secure, clean, neat and tidy.

CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS
LIFESLING2 OVERBOARD RESCUE SYSTEM
Get your crew member back on board fast! Lifesling2 is Coast Guard
approved and works better than a ring or horseshoe buoy because
it can be towed to the overboard crewmember rather than the
crewmember having to swim to it—this eliminates the danger of the
crewmember coming in contact with the hull and propeller. It can
also be used as a lifting sling if the crewmember needs help out of
the water. The Lifesling2 system consists of a flotation collar that is a
blend of the traditional horseshoe buoy and a helicopter rescue sling.
It’s connected to 125' of multi-filament polypropylene retrieving line
that allows the flotation to be towed or thrown to the overboard
crewmember. The collar and line are stored for protection against
the elements in a new more rigid and attractive vinyl storage bag.
Graphics on the bag illustrate the instructions for recovering a person
in the water.

St. Maarten has become a centralized hub for the Caribbean season. We
felt it necessary to take on the responsibility of opening a storefront in
this location, not only to assist our vessels in a service aspect but to
save them both time and money,” NMS Dean Du Toit said.

10 YEARS
EMPLOYEES CELEBRATING 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARIES
This year, these amazing staff members celebrated their ten year
anniversary with National Marine. We would like to congratulate
& thank them for dedicating their ten years with us.
STAN TEPLITZ - APRIL 4TH
Stan moved to Florida from Brooklyn, New York, in 1988, and started
working in the Metals Industry selling non-ferrous metals for a local
distributor to the Yachting Industry. Since that time, whatever job he
has had was involved in servicing this industry. Coming to National
Marine, he had a varied background in metals, pipes, valves, and
fittings, has been part of the Deck and Engine Department, and has
established many loyal customers with his excellent customer service
skills. He has also been responsible for training all new sales personnel
in the use of Nav, our operating system.
Stan believes family comes first and now has two families, his wife of
36 years, his two daughters and their husbands, and his grandson,
as well as his family here at National Marine.
KIM LAUSTRA – MAY 25TH
Kim started here at National Marine as a receptionist and worked her way
up to a researcher for Matt C, Gordon D, and Crispin within a few weeks.
When Dean decided to open a New Build Division, she assisted Crispin
for almost two years while he helped to get the division started. She was
then asked to change her focus to Interiors, another growing department
at that time. She has watched this company grow and feels blessed to be
a part of it all. She can only hope that life allows her another ten years.
AUDREY CURZIO – AUGUST 30TH
When Audrey started here in 2005, she had no idea what she was getting
herself into. She came from the corporate world, a place where people
would come in and punch a time clock for a paycheck. She says that
walking through the front doors of NMS she was actually walking into
the most dynamic company in the industry that truly treated each other
more like family than a number. She and her crazy New York accent were
welcomed with open arms. She can remember back when the extension
list had only a handful of names on it, but look at us now! She feels she
has been blessed during her time here. She has seen our staff grow, our
building grow and even seen our parties grow. But the most important
thing she has taken away from all that growth is that we have stayed
humble. The company has welcomed her like she is family. She has
laughed and cried with this family and it’s been a great ten years!
Here’s to many more!!!
KYLE BOWLES – SEPT 13TH
Kyle started back in 2005, and National Marine was his first job out of high
school. He started out in the warehouse, pulling orders, helping customers
expanding his product knowledge to assist better with customers. In 2008,
he started in the IT department where he learned the ins and outs of helping
end users with issues from networking to printer issues. Kyle’s responsibilities
are now focused on our web services. He is currently working on an
E-commerce solution to expand our business to the retail industry as
well as giving our NMS account holders a web portal to order items that
we stock in our ships store. Kyle looks forward to continuing his knowledge
and providing the best resources for our customers.
ANA PRIBISCO –DEC. 5TH
DAVID COWEE – AUGUST 8TH
Dave knows better than anyone else that NMS growth & expansion is
credited to the 'never say no' attitude, the never ending needs of our
customers & the explosion in the size of the 'mega yachts.' Besides, of
course, the obvious obsessive tenacity of one Dean DuToit. He feels he
has been able to live out a professional dream to help ensure that all
our client’s needs are met.
Knowing first hand how, why & when NMS started, the satisfaction he
feels daily is extremely gratifying. He takes everything we do here at
National to the next level and has an absolute passion for this place.
He drives his coworkers to excel and achieve the same standard of
excellence towards National Marine, and it’s level of customer service
to our clients. He feels his ten-year tenure has flown by, the sign of an
exciting journey.
Ana Pribisco joined National Marine Suppliers on December 5th, 2005 as
a Receptionist. After a few months, she became a Researcher, providing
clerical assistance in the Ship Store, General Sales, and the New Build
Department. Due to her tenacity and attention to detail, Ana was
promoted to New Build Sales in April of 2011, where she coordinated
the purchasing and delivery of multiple orders to shipyards all over the
world. In October of 2012, Ana was offered a position as a Salesperson
in the Engineering/Deck Department, she gladly accepted the challenge
and has been supporting operational vessels ever since. In her spare
time, she enjoys paddle boarding, kayaking, and just spending time on
the water with her husband. “There are many aspects of my job that I
enjoy. However, the most satisfying one is that I learn something new
every day. The marine industry is constantly evolving, and I am proud
to be part of a company that is always ahead of the curve.”
