NE W SNOW REMOVAL EQUIPMENT FEATURES UltraMount® System It’s the simplest snowplow attaching/detaching system available anywhere. 1 After driving into the receiver brackets simply grab the shoe handle and pull it up – the spring loaded shoe will pop up. Now pull the lock pin (in red) and rotate the handle up. Repeat on the other side. Plug in the two electrical connections and that’s it! 2 A rotating PIVOT BAR allows the drive in points to remain level – even when the blade is on uneven terrain. You get accurate drive in alignment always and a blade that can pivot when plowing for a cleaner scrape on uneven ground. 3 Two receiver brackets are easily removed for maximum off-season ground clearance. 1 2 3 NEW ULTRAFINISH™ This new automated powder coating process, now applied to all WESTERN® plows, provides industry-best protection against wear and rust. • Pre-treatment 8 wheel shot blaster to remove mill scale and abrade surfaces for optimum adhesion • Multi-stage pre-wash is entirely automated for consistency and provides superior surface preparation • Automated, climate controlled powder booths provide uniform coverage to all surfaces FloStat® Hydraulic System • Designed specifically for snowplow application • Provides fast, reliable lifting and angling • Uses standard ATF NEW ISOLATION MODULE This advanced snowplow light and electrical system features improved electrical pins in the harness plugs for trouble-free connections. An underhood module improves system life and complies with OEM requirements. No toggle switch is needed to change from vehicle to plow lights. Solenoid Control Option • Compact to fit anywhere • On/off indicator light • Plug-in connector allows easy removal CABCOMMAND Control Option • All blade functions right in the palm of your hand • Power “on” and “float” LED with automatic shut-off • Five foot coil cord for mobility LSX & SPORT/UTILITY PLOWS LSX Plow The 7' 2" LSX snowplow was designed for lighter capacity 1 ⁄ 2 ton pickup trucks and some sport utility vehicles. Extensive testing has shown that although the LSX is lighter than the current Standard model, it is just as strong. • A boxed channel on the back of the blade (above left) increases torsional strength to prevent twisting • Urethane pads on the trip stops (above right) soften blade trip return for quieter operation • Disc shoes are optional SPORT/UTILITY Plow This personal use plow was developed specifically for today’s down-sized vehicles. The Sport /Utility plow is available for some lighter vehicles that can still carry a UniMount® System snowplow. • Available in 61 ⁄ 2' blade size • Designed for non-commercial use only LSX and SPORT/UTILITY plows are only available with the UniMount® System. As a young college student, working his way through school, Brett Staeben of Brookfield, Wisconsin needed a plow that was sized right for his smaller vehicle yet would be strong enough to handle his homeowner accounts. “The LSX is perfect for my Jeep. It’s the right size for the driveways I do and has really held up well.” LSX PLOW SPORT/UTILITY PLOW LSX Plow PRO, POLY & STANDARD PLOWS PRO-PLOWS Known nationwide as the choice of the professional plower, the Pro-Plows were designed to meet tough contractor requirements. • Available in 71 ⁄ 2', 8', 81 ⁄ 2' and 9' blade widths • Shock absorber on the back of the blade (shown above right) softens trip action to extend life of your truck and plow POLY PLOWS Designed to provide superior snow rolling action, the slippery blade surface created by the use of thermal formed, high density polyethylene also offers a maintenance free plow blade. • Available in 71 ⁄ 2' Standard series and 71 ⁄ 2' and 8' Pro series • Rubber snow deflector is standard on all Poly Plows STANDARD PLOWS The WESTERN® Standard snowplows give the light commercial and personal use plower dependable performance without excess weight. • Available in 61 ⁄ 2', 7' and 71 ⁄ 2' blade widths • Standard series plows fit a wide variety of trucks A former helicopter pilot in Vietnam, Jim Myers, Winter Park, Colorado knows something about reliable equipment – he’s been using WESTERN ® plows for over 30 years. “Our town’s a busy place in winter. For the kind of plowing I do, I wouldn’t own anything but a Pro-Plow. The shock absorber really prevents a lot of wear and tear.” POLY PRO PLOW POLY STANDARD PLOW PRO PLOW STANDARD PLOW 8' Pro Plow with optional deflector ® MVP PLOWS CONTRACTOR GRADE The 81 ⁄ 2' and 91 ⁄ 2' MVP® plows offer the professional contractor the ultimate in plowing efficiency! You’ll do more jobs in less time with this multi-position v-plow. NEW Stronger T-Frame Design 1 Blade stops reduce cylinder load in “V” or angled positions. 2 Two bolts per side adjust blade pitch to reduce uneven cutting edge wear. 3 Attachment points for angle cylinders moved inward to reduce cylinder pressure. 3 Trip Edge Design Each wing of the MVP incorporates a trip edge (shown above left) so that when the blade strikes an obstacle only the lower edge trips back. Essential to the efficient design of a v-plow, this feature protects the plow and your truck – especially in the “scoop” position. 1 2 CABCOMMAND Control The operation of all functions – raise, lower, and moving the wings in or out either simultaneously or separately – is right in the palm of your hand. Shown above right. Double Acting Cylinders This feature, along with the ability to hydraulically lock the blade wings to act as one, allow for clean, efficient back-dragging. Shown above lower right. Standard Equipment Includes... • Rubber snow deflector • Top gap deflector and bottom gap wiper NOW WITH When you plow in Big Sky, Montana like Bob Juel does, you can expect to see a lot of snow – up to 400" a season! A plower since 1978, Bob depends on his MVP ® plow to get him through the winter. “The only way to get into deep snow is with a v-plow. I like the edge trip because it trips if I hit something, no matter what position the blade is in... and that protects my equipment.” “V” position Angled position “Scoop” position Designed for heavy duty commercial and municipal applications, the new 8', 81 ⁄ 2', and 9' PRO PLUS™ line fits 3⁄ 4 ton to F-550 size trucks. I need parts that I know will fit and last... that takes the guesswork out of it. Our maintenance van helps us service the equipment in the field. It’s stocked with WESTERN ® parts – I don’t need more headaches from parts that don’t work right.” PARTS & ACCESSORIES For Bruno Hanney, owner of Bruno’s Snow Model Blade Width Blade Height USU 65 Sport Utility 61⁄ 2' 23" 16 2 4 11⁄ 2" x 6" 5' 10" 352# steel 1⁄4" x 5" LSX 72 LSX 7' 2" 25" 14 2 4 11⁄ 2" x 8" 6' 6" 413# optional 3⁄ 8" x 6" Standard 61⁄ 2' 261⁄ 2" 4 11⁄ 2" steel 3⁄ 8" x 6" 11 2 4 11⁄ 2" x 10" 6' 1" 500# steel 3⁄ 8" x 6" 11 2 4 11⁄ 2" x 10" 6' 6" 614# steel 3⁄ 8" x 6" 4 11⁄ 2" steel 3⁄ 8" x 6" 7 11⁄ 2" cast iron 3⁄ 8" x 6" x 6" US 65 US 70 Standard 7' 261⁄ 2" UTS 75 Standard 71⁄ 2' 261⁄ 2" Poly Std. 71⁄ 2' Pro 71⁄ 2' UTSY 75 UTP 75 27" 29" Blade Trip Shock Vertical Gauge Springs Absorber Ribs 11 3⁄ 8" poly 11 2 3 4 1 Angling Rams Plowing Approx.
