Step 1 – Remove existing spring arm ( FIG.‐A) FIG. ‐ A Step 2 – Attach GUIDE PLATE LEFT and GUIDE PLATE RIGHT to the pushover arm using (2) u‐bolts and (4) flange nuts each. ( FIG‐B). Slide GUIDE PLATES out to within 1/8” of the pushover arm frame. FIG. ‐ B Step 3 – With the pushover arm in the up position Insert the long leg of the SKI ARM into GUIDE PLATE LEFT And the short leg into the opening from which the Existing Spring arm was removed. (FIG.‐C) FIG. ‐ C Step 4 – Before inserting SKI ARM into GUIDE PLATE RIGHT, slide (2) SET COLLARS and the RETURN SPRING onto the long leg of the SKI ARM. (FIG.‐D) Then insert the end of the long leg into GUIDE PLATE RIGHT. FIG. – D Step 5 – Attach STOP bracket with (4) hex bolts and flange nuts after match drilling the hole pattern of the STOP bracket into the accumulator frame as shown in FIG.‐ E.
FIG. ‐ E Step 6 – With the pushover arm in the down position, slide the SKI ARM to the desired length depending on your length of bale combinations. Slide the left SET COLLAR against GUIDE PLATE LEFT and tighten. (FIG.‐F) Slide the right SET COLLAR and the RETURN SPRING against GUIDE PLATE RIGHT to desired spring tension and tighten. (FIG. – F) FIG. – F Step 7 – Manually operate SKI ARM assembly several times to assure proper alighnment. The position of either GUIDE PLATE may need to be adjusted to allow for the free movement of the SKI ARM. Step 8 – Install (1) SPACER BLOCK each to the pushover Arm return stops. (FIG. – G) FIG. ‐ G Step 9 – Line up the BALE FENCE with the inside Face of the accumulator frame and match mark the hole location of the BALE FENCE onto the frame. Drill the frame with (3) 21/64” holes and attach BALE FENCE to accumulator frame with enclosed thread forming screws.
