Federal Land Regulations
New trails constructed on federal land as a result of
the Plan must follow the federally regulated NEPA
process.
Boise River Wildlife
Management Area
The Wildlife Management Area (WMA), shown
as hatch marks on the map, protects mule deer
wintering ground. No new trails will be planned for
or constructed in the WMA.
Respect for Private Land
Thanks to private landowners, many of the
trails in the Ridge to Rivers Trail System are
available for public use. The future of this
opportunity rests with our collective trail
etiquette. No trails will be planned where
landowners have removed their private
property from the planning area.
