Join Mary Jane for a step-by-step guide on how to expand your practice to include electronic billing. This workshop is especially beneficial to US technicians. Treatment protocols are more complex than first thought, and there is desperate need for standardization around the world. Confusion now exists due to widely disseminated misinformation from some device manufacturers and “the blind leading the blind” via social media. Scope of practice has become one of the greatest concerns. Remember...it is not the length of the needle that determines scope of practice, but rather the “condition being treated”. In this lecture you will discover how to safely obtain effective results while remaining within your scope of practice. Lance Setterfield, MD Dr. Lance Setterfield, one of the world’s foremost dermal needling experts, is an educator, skin treatment specialist, and international speaker. Author of “Concise Guide to Dermal Needling”, he draws from 32 years of medical experience with special interest in cell-to-cell communication, particularly researching effects of dermal needling on the epidermis (cosmetic) and dermis (medical). An early adopter of dermal needling in Canada (2005), his collaboration with clinics and companies around the world has enabled him to be on the forefront of this technology. 11:00 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Success with Male Eyebrows and Alopecia Clients Taking on Two Challenging and Sensitive Procedures Penny comes from a family of artists and appreciates a challenge that stimulates her abilities as a true artist. She discovered that natural appearing eyebrows and eyeliner enhancements for men and alopecia sufferers provides them with confidence, and are two of the most rewarding procedures to add to your service menu. Get ready to be educated and motivated to step into challenging but very rewarding areas of performing life changing ‘illusions’ of artistry! Let the magic of metamorphosis begin! Penny Rudy, CPCP Penny is well known throughout the Northwest for her compassion and artistry in permanent cosmetics since she started in 1999. She remains involved with Washington State legislation, education, and is a highly regarded international speaker. Penny is a past director, SPCP Lifetime Member, CPCP certified and a Trainer Member. She changed her business name to Chrysalis Clinic of Permanent Cosmetics after suffering a personal loss. While comparing this loss to the metamorphosis of the caterpillar evolving into the beautiful butterfly, Penny also thought of clients who had a metamorphosis through restorative procedures. 11:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Vendor Room - Last Day 12:15 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. Lunch on your own 1:30 p.m. – 2:45 p.m. The Color Business of Black and White Pat’s ongoing study of color authoritatively provides her the ability to present the dangers of white and the expectations of black. Presenting black and more importantly blue-black syndrome, Pat will explain how to correct it. She will cover everything from the heavy weight of white in an eyeliner to the 25th Annual Convention & Trade Show ~ Las Vegas, Nevada white of the 3D lips or camouflaging so you will know when to say no to a procedure and not go beyond your professional boundaries. Pat Shibley-Gauthier, CPCP Pat’s 27-year career demonstrates her industry dedication and passion through her efforts at the Micro Pigmentation Centre, located in Canada, the US, and abroad. She is a sought after international educator and presenter. As an SPCP Lifetime Member, Subject Matter Expert, Board Director, and Trainer Member, Pat continues to share her knowledge and insight surrounding all aspects of fundamental and continuing education. You’ll see exclusive video footage from the plastic surgeons she works with. This will include things like radiation, tissue expansion, and nipple reconstruction. Knowing all you can about the reconstruction process will be crucial for you to communicate with your clients. Lana Duke says you can and shares her tips on developing your own unique, highly profitable brand. She tells how to set yourself apart from your competition, using techniques like personal notes and community involvement that cost little but pay off in big results.
