Ellicottville has shown a great, warm embrace for the Pitillo family, who have been hard at work the past couple of months preparing for their newest endeavor, Villaggio, housed in the building formerly occupied by The Barn Restaurant. Owner Nick Pitillo and crew are bringing the family’s strong Italian roots to the table, as Villaggio will offer relaxed Italian dining using recipes that have been handed down from Pitillo’s own mom and pop. Set to open this fall, you can bet Villaggio will be a hot spot come ski season, as Nick is working towards that perfect apres atmosphere - open dining, bars on both floors, ski movies cycling through on the big screens, and more than enough food and drink to keep the vibe alive. A new addition to the culinary landscape, this carryout cafe offers the community a healthy platform for fresh, local and organic on-the-go options. It is the mission of owner, Brittany Lowry, to encourage and educate others when it comes to a clean alternative way of eating. The menu, which changes monthly, consists of all organic, gluten-free, non-dairy ingredients.
