Traders 17 - 19 June 2016
17 - 19 June 2016 Traders Eroica Britannia 2016. A Unique 3 Day Festival. We will be setting up our glorious 3 day festival camp once again in the beautiful lands of Bakewell in The Peak District National Park on the 17th - 19th June for the third chapter of Eroica Britannia. — The Great British Adventure a unique lifestyle festival. Two incredible festival days and nights of build up and merriment peak on the third day - Sunday 19th of June 2016 – when our adventurers gather, bikes polished and magnificent depart the festival for a 3 route tour of the Peak District. Bells will ring and the thrill of 4,000 riders on pre1987 bikes will resonate around hill and through vale for Eroica Britannia. “The focus of the festival gives it a lighter and more friendly atmosphere than the competitive-spirited cycling sportives so popular around the UK – it’s more like a huge fancy dress party.” The Guardian Overview 2015 The Festival Eroica Britannia was one of the most talked about events in the cycling and festival calenders for 2015. Over 50,000 wonderful folk travelled from all four corners of the World to make iconic British history in the historic market town of Bakewell, Peak District National Park. 3 sublime sunny festival days of all things handsome. Music, glorious vintage, shopping, food, drink, camping and cycling. We enjoyed 3 unique days of family festival fun celebrating ‘Best of British’. We had over 200 brilliant brands, vendors and hand picked sponsor activations at the festival including fascinating vintage sales, lifestyle finds, bike brands including the UK’s biggest Bike Jumble. We had amazing street food trucks and spectacular drinking experiences and we welcomed some of the best up and coming, independent live music in the UK. And who could ever forget our Best in Show, the Ringmaster or dancing in HQ as the stars came out...The stuff that legends truly are made of. “We were absolutely delighted to be part of Eroica Britannia this year. It is the ultimate family festival that is completely suited to our brand and always a pleasure to be a part of ” LUSH The Ride On Sunday the 21st June 2015, 3600 glorious riders adventured along The Monsal Trail, incredible marvels of Victorian engineering excitingly incorporating a series of outstanding panoramic viaducts and dark tunnels where light at the end of the tunnel was found by uplifting choir voices. They passed through Cromford, home of the World famous Cromford Mills Heritage Site, the first water-powered cotton spinning mill in the world. They marvelled at great sights, took in views of breathtaking beauty, gritted their teeth and sweated up the hills and glided down descents, floating on air. Riders felt regal riding through the private lands of the Chatsworth Estate and waved to the Duke Adventures ate, drank and made merry at FOOD stops, renamed FEAST stops crammed with an abundance of local delights in food and drink. Their ride turned into a journey and they embraced the discovery with new friends. “You must ride a vintage bike older than 1987. Your attire should be of similar age, as well as your shoes, gloves and other accessories but don’t be mistaken, this is no casual jaunt around the park. This is no leisurely stroll, only sated by a cold beer at a pub. Eroica Britannia is a ride for cyclists.” The Radavist All Aboard The Great British Adventure 2016 — Our audience “When the team from Eroica Britannia first approached us about getting involved with the event their enthusiasm and plans to deliver something of high quality was immediately evident.
