Board D E L Z Z A "E $ Rich Little Starring in Jimmy Stewart ~ A Humorous Look At His Life &RIDAY 3EPTEMBER s PM A master mimic of more than 200 voices, Rich Little continues to impress throughout the world with regular stops in London, Canada, Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Reno, Hawaii, Chicago, New York … and now Cedarburg. A professed classic movie buff, Little is particularly fond of doing Alan Ladd (his childhood hero) and other stars like Jimmy Stewart, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Jack Nicholson and Clint Eastwood. In Jimmy Stewart – A Humorous Look At His Life, Little pays tribute to one of his “larger than life” favorites. , $ 50 http://richlittle.com Corky Siegel Chamber Blues 3ATURDAY /CTOBER s PM Corky Siegel’s latest project Chamber Blues, with the West End String Quartet, and Frank Donaldson on world percussion, blends classical and blues styles in a chamber music setting. This ground breaking innovative sound has earned tremendous acclaim throughout the country and continues to open new doors for classical and blues/jazz listeners alike. Chamber Blues won the Billboard Editor’s and Writer’s top 10 Picks of the Year and Stereophile Magazine says: “... fantastic ... I guarantee you’ve never heard anything quite like it.” , $ 35 www.chamberblues.com The Lettermen Holiday Performance Underwritten by Dean & Francine Fitting 3ATURDAY $ECEMBER s PM Part of Americana, The Lettermen have been creating musical memories for over 50 years. And, they’re back on the Cedarburg PAC stage to harmonize for the holidays! Over the years, they have sung and recorded in over fourteen languages and have eighteen gold records to their name internationally. They have continually recorded, averaging at least one album a year. Their signature sound made romantic standards of songs such as “Smile,” “Put Your Head On My Shoulder,” “Shangri-La,” “Love,” “Traces/Memories” and more. , $ 50 www.thelettermen.com George Winston 4HURSDAY $ECEMBER s PM Inspired by the seasons, solo pianist George Winston plays over 100 solo piano concerts a year. His concerts feature a variety of styles, including his melodic folk piano, stride piano, New Orleans R&B piano, Vince Guaraldi’s Peanuts® pieces and more. In concert, Winston will be performing songs from his upcoming recording GULF COAST BLUES & IMPRESSIONS 2-A LOUISIANA WETLANDS BENEFIT, as well as selections from his seasonal favorites AUTUMN, DECEMBER, WINTER INTO SPRING and SUMMER, and his Vince Guaraldi tribute albums. , $ 50 www.georgewinston.com Daryl Stuermer of Genesis 3ATURDAY *ANUARY s PM Virtuoso lead guitarist Daryl Stuermer of the supergroup Genesis has been touring the world to sold-out crowds since 1978, creating the signature guitar sound of the Phil Collins mega hits “In the Air Tonight” and “Easy Lover.” Stuermer has continued to write music for his eight solo albums of original music and cover his favorite Genesis vocals and instrumentals along the way. His band is an exciting fusion of Stuermer’s unique Genesis renditions, creating an unforgettable evening that reinvents the Genesis experience. , $ 45 www.darylstuermer.com Tonic Sol-fa Underwritten by Greater Cedarburg Foundation &RIDAY -ARCH s PM The New York Times describes Tonic Sol-fa’s a cappella sound as “A vocal kaleidoscope...unique to the human voice.” Improvisational and passionate music combined with cutting-edge stage presence is the benchmark by which critics and fans agree: nobody does it like Tonic Sol-fa. Although they are simply four voices and a tambourine, they’ve already been voted into the Midwest Music Hall of Fame, have done three popular public television specials and have won their first Emmy Award for “Musical Composition/Arrangement.” , $ 35 www.tonicsolfa.com Vocal Trash &RIDAY -AY s PM Texas-based Vocal Trash is a high-octane stage show that makes music in harmony with the environment. Described as “Glee, with a kick,” Vocal Trash combines uniquely recycled instruments like one-of-a-kind guitars and metal trash can or plastic barrel percussion devices with first-rate vocals. Audiences can’t seem to get enough of this energetic group whose “feel good” music literally gets people up and dancing in the aisles. It’s the ultimate production with an urban feel and Broadway appeal. , $ 35 www.vocaltrash.net Building A Life-Long Appreciation for the Arts Each season, the Visiting Artists Series provides countless opportunities for students to learn about and develop an appreciation for the performing arts. From student internships to paid box office and tech crew positions and from master classes to on-stage collaborations with visiting artists, young people have an opportunity to experience every facet of the performing arts. Following is a sampling OF STUDENT INTERN COMMENTS Abigail Fisher, Class of 2012 “As an intern, I loved learning the ins and outs of backstage management, and getting to see all the wonderful shows at the Cedarburg PAC. I think that when I leave this year, I will take a great wealth of knowledge about working backstage and also the valuable friendships of my fellow interns and coordinators.” Samantha Greivell, Class of 2012 Drew Wandschneider, Class of 2012 “My internship at the CPAC has been an incredibly positive experience. It has caused me to strengthen my ties to the Cedarburg community, and to view firsthand the great appreciation for the arts our community members have. Through my internship, I have come in contact with many performers, and have been fortunate enough to see and hear their talents on stage.” “This has been a really valuable experience for me. I have met some really great people and I have formed strong relationships with everyone that I have been working with for the last four years. I really looked forward to and enjoyed coming to all of the shows and helping out selling the artist merchandise.” Friends of the Cedarburg PAC, Inc.
