The last.fm Dataset
• These are the raw data files corresponding to the Last.fm
artist map project at http://sixdegrees.hu/last.fm, gathered
some time around late 2007 (so they are unlikely to be upto-date now).
• The similarity network is directed and asymmetric; it is not
guaranteed that the similarity of artist A to B is the same
as the similarity of artist B to A. (In fact, they are likely to be
unequal). This is due to the fact that the similarity scores
given by the Last.fm API are always normalized s.t. the
similarity of artist A towards its most similar artist is always
100.
